ONE OF TWO SUICIDE BOMBERS KILLS HERSELF BY CYANIDE

When the special investigations unit of the police acting on information provided by a LTTE female terrorist at Galle Police, arrested two suicide bombers at Vavuniya one woman committed suicide by biting a cyanide capsule.
The dead woman has been identified as K. Gauri (31).
Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkakra ,the military spokesman said, a special team of investigators were sent to Punthottam in Vavuniya to arrest the two suicide bombers but one suspected bomber committed suicide by cyanide while being about to be questioned. In Vavuniya they surrounded the house of the LTTE pistol gang member, Neruppu when they were able to capture only one of the women.
On the information provided by the surviving bomber the police team was able to find three suicide kits,six bags of high potential plastic explosives (C-4), 100 rounds of 9mm pistol ammunition and 10 detonators buried in a plastic barrel buried near the Uppukulama church.
