Addressing few hundred thousand people of the last Southern Provincial Council election rally of the Freedom Alliance at Muwanpelessa in Suriyawewa , Hambatota which became virtually a sea of heads President Rajapaksa in no uncertain terms said not that Sri Lanka is against any country in the world but it will never bow down in subservience to any other country.

He emphatically said amidst a roar of cheers from the unprecedented crowd, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-We will never be unequally subservient; we will never kneel down in front of any other country no matter what.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

He said the Southern voters should give an appropriate reply to the very people who are conspiring and preparing reports with the determination of sending the heroic soldiers before tribunes of war crimes armed with falsehood.

The voters should remember for them the land of supreme value is nothing else but the motherland, the President said.

He said this government is working very harmoniously with all countries in the world. But under any kind of circumstances or before whatever kind of forces it cannot be subservient to any other country or be unequal.

Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa said now Ranil Wickramasinghe is telling his meetings that the President is having a secret pact with the LTTE. Yapa said the whole country knows who has had secret pacts with Prabhakaran. He is speaking as if Prabhakaran was still alive. He had one secret pact with Prabhakaran in 2001 and before that in 1999 another secret pact with the LTTE in Singapore through Gnanakoon.

The President was warmly welcomed on his arrival at the stage by all candidates. A notable feature was the presence of former UNP Parliamentarian of the Colombo District and a party stalwart Samson Silva who was introduced as some one joined the PresidentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s platform ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-to strengthen the hands of the PresidentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Several other Parliamentarians also addressed the meeting.
