This YearƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ interestingly theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festivities have coincided with theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ political victories ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the People’s PartyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  of President Mahinda Rajapaksha, victories which have also paved the way for the Nation of Sri lanka to celebrate the more significant victory over terrorism as all peace loving Sri Lankans rejoice over the calm, tranquility and peace which has pervaded the land where her terroristƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ enemies have beenƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  significantly vanquishedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and it is a time for all Lankans to put away their differences and unite to consolidate the victories won never forgetting the price paid by some to acheive them.

There seems to be great potential for the future development of the Nation with ourƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ pragmatic and wise President to lead the nation to prosperity and posterity for future generations and it is towards these objectives that all Lankans need to unite.

There should be no barriers erected by a misguided few towards this as it would be a hampering of the progress Sri Lanka needsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in these auspicious times and it would be a sad deprivation of the needs of all Lankans if there was to be further enmities and crossed swords between Sri Lankans in aƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ divided perspective and there is a salient need for allƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Lankans to stand together and learn from past mistakes.As is traditional the goodwill between all Sri Lankans exchanged at this time of year needs to be extended into one which will last beyond the festive times and continue all year round as the first step towards reconciliation and Nation building!

A message also needs to be sent out to ANY ASPIRING MEDDLERS INTO THE INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF SRI LANKA WHERE ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ BY AND LARGE THE ADMINISTRATIVE INFRASTRUCTUREƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  OF THE NATION IS MANNED BY MANYƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ACCOMPLISHED LEGISLATORS WITH MUCH POLITICAL SAVVY IN THE PRESENT TEAM OFƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  PRESIDENT MAHINDA RAJAPAKSHA WHO HAS MANAGED THE NATION WELL ENOUGH BAR THE INTERFERENCE OF A FEW PUNDITS WHO HARDLY HAD A CLAIM TO THE TASK ALBEIT INSPIRED BY A DISGRUNTLED SECTOR OF WOULD BE SECESSIONISTS WITHƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ MANIPULATIVE ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ POWER BACKED BYƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  SYMPATHETIC SUPERPOWERS BUT HAVE ACCOMPLISHED PRECIOUS LITTLE EXCEPT RAISED EYEBROWS FROM MANY DISCERNING OBSERVERS AROUND THE GLOBE AT THEIR BOLD AFFRONTS TO A SOVEREIGN DEMOCRATIC NATION WHICH NONETHELESS RESISTED AND WITHSTOOD ALL OPPRESSION WHICH HAS NOW BECOME A HALLMARK OF THE RAJAPAKSHA aDMINISTRATION!

SRI LANKA IN THE OVERALL PICTURE OF THINGS RELATIVE TO NATION MANAGEMENT WITH MINIMAL RESOURCESƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  HAS DONE MUCH BETTER THAN CERTAIN NATIONS WHO HAVE REDUCED THEIR COUNTRIES TO A SHAMBLES THROUGH MISMANAGEMENT CATALYSED BY FOREIGN INTERFERENCE AND SRI LANKA WILL NOT BE SUBJUGATED TO THIS INDIGNITY AND COULD VERY WELL MANAGE HER OWN AFFAIRS AS IT NEEDS TO BE REITERATED IN THE AFTERMATH OF MANY ADVERASRIES ANDƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  RELATED ADVERSITIES OVERCOME THROUGH THE PRUDENCE AND RSILIENCE OF SOLID LEADERSHIP!

What needs to be the contending forceƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  this New Year towards greater aspirations for our NationƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ is the primaryƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ objectiveƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by all Lankans towards being solidly behind the Nation’s LeadershipƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in this festive season as a resolution towards the future with a show of confidence in his capabilities which he has already proved in many different perspectives!
