When I lived in Toronto some years ago I admired Bob Rae for his articulate speech and his honesty and qualities of leadership, a rarity among politicians and my expectations was that one day he would lead Canada.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Once I remember he was the chief guest of Sri Lankan Association New Year function and he honestly commented on some violin music played by a group and compared it to a noise of cockroaches creeping through a glass tube!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ However our famous writer Michael Ontaatje who spoke later, courteously disputed that comment.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ So much water has flown under the bridge since then and now it seems this man is undoubtedly suffering from some kind of an ADS and has become a circus clown!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ He has been truly conditioned by the Tamil propaganda based on lies and damn lies.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Some decades ago Tamils attempted their pranks in India which ended up in Central government annexing Tamil Nadu and in Malaysia ending up with Bhumiputra legislation.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ They were silenced for ever in those two countries, which our Anglo Saxon clowns, including the 3 clowns in ICG either unaware of or have conveniently forgotten.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Now everyone has joined the bandwagon to castigate the Sri Lankan government and Sinhala people as a whole.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The question props up, if Prabha was not killed would the Tamil Diaspora ever cry foul and instigate war crimes against the GOSL, I wonder.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Would the ICG open an investigation on war crimes committed by Americans during Panama invasion or Iraq invasion?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Absolutely not, as this is their own brethren of Anglo Saxons and organizations and institutions such as Pentagon, CIA, KKK, Amnesty International, Green Peace have one paramount agenda and that to propagate Anglo Saxon views and interests on this planet.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In the name of Free Speech they will castigate Prophet Mohammad and Buddha and what crap of free speech is that?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Is this an avenue opened by Anglos to pulverize others on their beliefs and faiths?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Probably the most immoral, arrogant and ignorant race on this planet (pedophiles, gay and lesbian exhibitionists, arsonists, serial killers, mass murderers list goes on and on) ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ dictating terms to others to how to live a freeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and moral existence and ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ what to believe and how to fight wars and WHEN to end wars!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Panamanians have enough evidence to bring to justice Americans who committed war crimes in their country and its mind boggling how the people in judiciary in that country are silent on this issue.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ What I fail to understand is why does the rest of the world including Irish, Scottish and Welsh people place these fools on the pedestal?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Moving UN from USA to a neutral country in Europe or Asia, would be the first step in this direction so that Americans need not wake up every morning and attempt to solve the problems of yesterday as the rest of the world have already woken up to a new day with new problems.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Why not kick out Britain from the permanent membership at UN Security Council as this country has no relevance in the 21st century world on power, trade etc.?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Why not circulate holding of Olympics on a rotation basis around the 5 continents instead of Anglo Saxon countriesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ mad bid to hold Olympics every 8 years in one of their countries, with so much money(bribes) thrown to attract the vote of poor countries.?
Why not throw England and US out of the UN or dismantle UN altogether as its existence seem to be irrelevant and the rest of the countries form a new separate council joining ASEAN, G15, African, South American andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Non-aligned nations?.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The main problem facing the sensible peoples of this planet is that the English speaking people have a following in most developing countries and those people are at the height of power using the English trump card and also bind by the Commonwealth of nations, another defunct organization.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Its time the rest of the world take a firm stand and attempt to neutralize the Anglo factor which has been dragged on for far too long in this world.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Just like most Europeans the rest should speak their own language at all world forums, media interviews without giving much of an importance to English language.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Its true the Anglo propaganda machine should not be under estimated and their influence of ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ disseminating and changing the world opinion on many fronts however if the rest of the world unite nothing will be impossible with countries like India, Japan, Germany, France, China and Russia leading the way.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lanka needs to escape the trap of AID which ties us up and to be independent in our dealings with the world, so that sanctions can be neutralized if imposed.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Our High Commissions and Embassies abroad need to be manned by solid people who could counteract the moves by Tamil Diaspora to gather momentum on their latest pranks.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Mahinda Chintana needs to spread and encompass our foreign policy and his think tank need to be far more smarter with the inclusion of international expertise.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I sincerely wish he will not be another victim of the English myth now being spread ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ around the country once again by the near sighted educationists in Sri LankaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ (SB and Bandula take a note – our dear old friend Susil completely missed the point).ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If English is taught as a subject any person who pursues studies in any discipline can do reference reading available books in English to enhance knowledge and our country need not fall into the trap of a English Medium myth dividing our nation into the English and non-English speaking people, which existed when we were kids prior to 80s.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

It is easier said than done. Sunil a peerson does not cut off his face to spite his face. Whether we like it or not the world system is such that ‘English’, ‘French’, ‘Spanish’ are international languages. Only a country like China with it’s large populations are able to exist with their own language. People in large countries like India, Germany, Russia etc also learn ‘English’, ‘French’, ‘Spanish’ as a second lanbguage.
You are in AUSTRALIA, would you be able to carry on with your life and work there without English! Thousands of young men and women in Sri Lanka lost out when they were deprived of the opportunity to further their studies and of course gain economically for themselves or their families when they were deprived of English. Lot of Sri lankans have mastered and even excelled in the English Language to an extent they are able to present themselves in world stages. This is admired by not only the Englishman but others who can’t speak our unique Sinhala Language.
While giving precedence to our national language Sinhala, we must not only allow English in our education system but allow anyone aspiring to learn French, Spanish, German, Latin, Catonese, Urdu, Tamil the opportunity to do so. We must show the world that we are able to communicate with the world and to the world. So please do not dampen the future of our youngsters, lessons learnt and knowledge gained is always useful.

I am writing this after reading a few of recent comments including some made by Lanka Peiris. Thank you Sunil for being honest enough to speak the truth and for not following the typical Diaspora lines. It is proven beyond any doubt that a significant number of patriotic Diaspora, meant those who left the country for good still harbouring some interests in the country of origin, are more dangerous than any other threat posed by any other group or combined. For some countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, it proved deadly to have patriots in the Diaspora.
In Sri Lanka, there is a big outcry that English is a must to find a job. Is there anything to wonder given the country is run using the English language and customs by their erstwhile comrades in arms (bloody traitors from Sinhala point of view)? What could have happened if all the people use Sinhala as the language of governance? Many English speakers could be unemployed and singing the same slogans and will try their best to learn Sinhala.
The notion that ‘English’, ‘French’, ‘Spanish’ are international languages is an insult to human conscience. These pathetic primitive languages became the languages of choice for those who submitted to their brutal terror during the rampaging years of occupation. Anyone with common sense should never use these waste languages to communicate to anyone other than native speakers if they have a grain of humanity in them. Refer colonies like Australia, when migrants are left to choose English or death, they use English complementing their original wish when they landed as imported labour. It is not a big deal to humanise ‘English’, ‘French’ or ‘Spanish’ as international languages. Those weaklings who learn alien languages pose a serious threat to native language speakers as they not only master foreign languages, but become carriers of alien values. Creatures like mosquitoes do the same.
If English did not invade Sinhale’, would their be these experts advocating people to learn English. I met a Vietnamese emigrant in an English colony who wanted his children to learn French language and values. Those of you who carry the burden of occupation are worse than the invaders, if history is anything. When I came to understand that I was carrying the burden left behind by English I made my choice and many comments I made at this site clearly stand as evidence. When I realised Hindu-Buddhists have done an enormous damage to Sinhala community, their language, values and history, I made my choice to abandon it completely. Refer use of word Hindu Buddhist, using the word Buddhist does not tell that much as the word combination Hindu-Buddhist tells a lot more about Buddhism and where it originated. Like wise, I appeal to those so-called patriotic Diaspora members of all faiths, including Jewish-Christian faith, please do what you must do before trying to engage in local affairs. If you cannot give up your religious and cultural attachments to those who invaded Sinhale’, please make up your mind and follow them than shaming Sinhala people. There is nothing more insulting than patriotic fervour coming out of such patriots currying favours with the most dastardly barbarians that were ever produced by the humanity. They do more damage than any other combination of external enemies of our people. Those of you who think that you do a great lot without giving up your heritage, you are not only wasting your time, but act as a conduit for their agendas. I know how hard it is to give up, but if we cannot do it, we are not worth to call patriots ever.
Refer the claim “… our beautiful island given to us by God” by Jewish-Christians, can you please leave that country and its people alone as they never have to concoct such lies to claim ownership of their land. Jewish culture where Christianity was born has documented Israel as the land give to them by Gods and that they are the chosen people by God to rule the world. It is a nice try since there is no other way to prove a land belong to someone else as theirs and there is nothing else of good nature about them to show, if their history is anything. On the other hand, Sinhala people were in that part of the land from the origin of human life, a very rare event. I already told how Adam and Eva came to being in s previous comment. Your claim of God given land is a very serious insult to their legitimacy. As well, long before Jews came to being, the word “god” was created by the oldest civilisation on this planet built by ancient Sinhala people for something very real and meaningful. Those who use such knowledge to misguide and abuse humanity should never be considered the same. If needed, you can work out what makes my claims true or false by yourselves.
Dear everyone, if you cannot give up alien values and every bit of attachments inherited from those who unleashed unimaginable brutality on Sinhala people for no reason, please do not try to be so-called Patriotic Sinhala Diaspora. This world has a rhythmic pattern of change and it is most likely that many humans will learn Sinhala while many of you promoting colonial growling are lost in the woods forever.
