I know you all must be busy with your hustings to gain your Conservative ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ majority at the May 2 ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ federal election and have little time to read the news papers, but you must read The Globe and MailƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ of yesterday (April 13) in which Anthony Reinhart reports ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Conservative candidate takes pains to obscure his Tamil backgroundƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.

Reinhart reports that Ragavan Paranchothy, your prodigy, who is your Conservative candidate for the Scarborough Southwest riding no longer was mentioning his Tamil background, and that he has adopted a different name from what it was when he travelled with you dear Prime Minister to Asia in 2009, when he called himself with his legal name T. Ragavan Paranchothy.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-TƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ stood for Thayan, his legal name.
We are told by Reinhart that he has taken out ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-RaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ from RagavanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and now calls himself ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-GavanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ What surprised me is to know that he didnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t want to apply himself as a committed Conservative and not adapt the first three letters of your party and called himself ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-CongavanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ That would have been more convincing as a Conservative.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Jason, you should have encouraged him to do just that.
Reinhart reports that RagavanƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ has attended meetings with MPs including Immigration Minister Jason Kenney and was among the delegation who met privately last October with OntarioƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Progressive Leader Tim Hudak.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Others at the meeting, we are told had links to the National Council of Canadian Tamils (NCCT), a group guided into being by a former associate of the World Tamil Movement (WTM) which your (Harper) government banned ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in 2008 for collecting money for the Tigers, sometime coercively, from Tamils in Canada.
Reinhart says that Paranchothy is not an NCCT member, but his TV and Radio Stations promoted the NCCTƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s elections last June.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ You four are smart enough to make conclusions on that involvement by your candidate.
Stephen Jason, Paul and Patrick, all what I can wish for is when you all fill your dance cards with the TorontoƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Tamil Tigers see that you are observant when you hold onto their tails, and if the blue paint comes off and show the yellow stripes that they are really the Tamil Tigers who got into Canada fraudulently lying through their noses.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sit down when they start playing the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Tamil Tiger WaltzƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ as it is a crafty dance as it really has the beatsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚1-2-3 Fall, 1-2-3 FallƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ which you were not taught be your Tamil Tiger dance teacher.

Oh!, by the way, this was the Ragavan we are told who was on the phone from Canada when K.P. (Selvarajah Pathmanathan), the Tamil Tiger was picked upƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ fromƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a hotel in Kuala Lumpur, and whisked back to Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This is the Tamil Tiger who was responsible for gun running, drug trafficking and the chief arms procurer over a period of many years for the Tamil Tigers,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ who purchased saveral ships for the LTTE gun running and was wanted by INTERPOL.

Hopefully the Conservative Party of Canada will get Mr.Weerasinge’s message in hindsight but it seems like a bit of overkill on the part of Mr Weerasinghe about what appears to be more paranoia than any significant worries about the Tamil Tigers who are virtually eliminated globally despite attempts to re- surge or be recussitated by some who still believe in them in deadbeat fashion. That should be the only concern if any about any significant threat which needs to be kept in check where verily the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) are right on top of the game given how efficiently they have cracked down on evey Pro Tiger operation in Canada thus far with Conservative Government policy which initiated the biggest crackdown on the Tigers so much so that they have dissapeared from the radar screen albeit surreptitious underground pocket are known to still exist! Case in point! euphemisms including “He Said She Said” “We are told”, “Ifs, Buts and “it is possible” etc. etc. do not constitute any tangible proof that the Conservatives are Tamil Tiger sympathetic where sooner than later infiltrators from this category will be sorted out and booted out!
And was it not the Liberals of Paul Martin and Maria Minna infamy that really consorted with the Tigers to which they pled innocence and feigned non culpability ? So despite certain pro- Tiger supportives attempting to mingle with the Conservatives and curry favour with them with obviously ulterior motives the Conservatives are in all probabilities responding to it in a typical Conservative manner of response which is also the Canadian way of politesse. There probably is no need to raise an alarm that the Conservatives are pro LTTE which is pure conjecture. Furthermore it would be a lowering of ethics on their part apart from being political juxtapositioning towards their anticipated advantage in the forthcoming election in May as they are fully aware of how the Liberals paid homage to the near 150,000 Tamil Votes, mostly pro Tamil Tiger supportive on the same basis and it is hardly unlikely the Conservatives will ply this same route!
About not voting for the Conservatives, it is one’s prerogative where a vote for the Liberals could well be a vote towards resurrecting the buried Tigers at least in Canada remembering once again that it was the New Conservatives of the Hon. PM. Mr. Stephen Harper and his aides that helped bury them in Canada.
