More than 50 million Tamils live in the Tamil Homeland (Tamil Nadu).Similar to any other race, Tamils live in considerable numbers in Sri Lanka, Mauritius, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada and in many other countries. While the Tamil Nadu politicians have been constantly engaging in racist politics to fight for Tamil independence and preservation of Tamil culture in other countries, they have foolishly neglected to fight for their rights in their own homeland. Hindianisation continue in Tamil Nadu as well as in foreign countries in great proportions. Modern Tamils are generally encouraged to speak Hindi instead of Tamil in all states of India as well as in new Indian communities in foreign countries. In Australia and Canada, it is the Sri lankan Tamils who try to preserve Tamil language and the Indians promote Hindi as the ¨ƒÆ’†’ndian language¨ without any objection form non-Hindi speaking Indians. This makes most of the Indian Tamils to join with foreign based Tamil communities rather than with Hindi dominated Indian communities. This did not help to fight against subtle Hidianisation is taking place in Tamil Nadu, and Indian government often let the racist cries of corrupt Tamil extremist on discrimination in foreign countries to continue, as long as they did not interfere with the Hindian cultural unity.

The beginning of Dravidian separatist movement goes back to late 1930s when leaders of Tamil and other Dravidian communities such as Karnataka, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu got together to form Justice Party. This party was later changed its name to DMK in the 1940s. DMK abandoned its “independence for Dravida Nadu” demand in 1963 immediately after the Indian Parliament passed the Sixteenth Amendment to the Indian Constitution that prohibited those who advocate separatism from running for public offices (such as Indian parliament and state legislative assembly). Later, as the other Dravidian leaders gradually distanced themselves from Tamil leaders, mainly due to their people preferring to be united with the Hindustan rather than with a Dravidanadu, Tamil Nadu concept still existed and it was the Tamil race who thought they were better off breaking off form India. With the ignition of Sir lankan Tamil separatist movement in Sri Lanka, racist Tamils grabbed the opportunity to unite under the murderer Prabhakaran to help set up a fictitious Eelam in SriLanka ,which they thought can be made use of to fight India. However, this was an utterly foolish action as they underestimated the strength of Sinhala nation to survive the war raged for 30 years and finally to demolish the Eelam hope in May 2009. While Tamil Nadu separatist were busy supporting murderous movement of LTTE (which killed Tamils more than Sinhalese), Hindianisation of Tamil Nadu continued. Taxes collected by Tamil Nadu were used elsewhere to develop Hindi speaking areas and choking of voices of freedom of Tamils was relentlessly pursued by the Indian government. Time has come for Tamils to stop supporting separatism in other countries, to reignite the freedom movement of Tamil Nadu. They should change the strategy or accept a united HINDUSTAN and live happily ever after.

  1. Samson Says:

If we can manage Tamil separatism within Sri Lanka, we should encourage Tamil Nadu Tamils to fight for a separate Tamil nation. That will not create a Tamil nation because India will violently crush it. But that will push India and Sri Lanka for better cooperation against Tamil separatists. It will also eliminate a sizable number of Tamil separatists, etc. which is always a welcome event.

  2. Nanda Says:

One may argue if SriLanka does not like LTTE why we encourage similar movement in India. This is not good ethics.
But, before British time, India was never a single country, ruled by many rulers.
Even in Prince Siddharta’s time there were so many kingdoms and great kingdoms. I am not sure about history of Tamil Land but, it may be a fair demand that Tamils break away from India, if they are being discriminated.

  3. ranjit Says:

We doesnt want to encourage any movement or support any movement for seperation here or anywhere in the world. Let them solve their problems and leave us alone to solve our problems. We need only peace to live as a free nation under a democratic Government. India is a big country if they need to give a seperate land for Tamils they can call all Tamils in the world and give them a seperate land without bothering us anymore If not they have to live with us Sinhalese unitedly and allow their Tamils to live with Hindus unitedly. This way we all can live happily ever after.

  4. Fran Diaz Says:

Lankans should never encourage break away states anywhere in the world. It is wiser to help a country remain intact than encourage states to break away from areas that form geographically viable units.

Tamil Nadu enjoys all the rights given to the other states of India. They are not discriminated against at all, except that the Tamil leaders wish to spread the Tamil language whereas the government of India, understandably, wants to spread the Hindi language everywhere in India.

Some Tamil Nadu leaders special wish to break away earlier was because they consider themselves the ‘original people of that area’ and North Indians are invaders, and probably Tamil leaders also found it a way of keeping Tamils united. There is a similar situation in Sri Lanka where some Tamil leaders find that the ‘break away/discrimination’ cry unites Tamils who are strongly divided on Caste lines.

Fortunately, Sri Lanka is an island and therefore has undisputed boarders defined by the sea. We should stay intact as a Nation and help India stay intact too.

  5. thurai Says:

//Tamil leaders find that the ‘break away/discrimination’ cry unites Tamils who are strongly divided on Caste lines.//

    Dear Franz Dias,
    It is true.

modrern world is trying to break the walls and bult bridges between communities. Why tamils want to built Walls and break bridges. The answer is easy. Many Tamils live in ancient world even they live in western countries. They maintain strong cast system and narrow minded.

  6. anura seneviratna Says:

Tamils tried to free Tamil Nadu but found unable to confront the Indian subcontinent. Later they found a soft spot in the nearby Island Country of the Hela/Sinhela Nation, for which Tamil Nadians offered full support, which they still do. It is self-evident fact that Tamil Nadu (Tamil Country) with 70 million indigenous Tamils is the ONLY LAND that Tamils can demand Tamil national self determination and never in any other national country they have migrated to. However, 70 million Tamils in Tamil Nadu plus over 30 million Tamil expatriates totaling over 100 million Tamils in the world is a major population, deserving their independence to the indigenous Tamil Nadu(Tamil country) of the Indian subcontinent. In a continent with great land mass many nations exist with different countries and borders, likewise India is a subcontinent with many large nations and they have the right for national self-determination if so wished. India is following mindlessly in the foolhardy footsteps of colonialism with a swollen ego, pretending to be a progressed land, while the Indian masses are reduced to misery. It is better for India to grant full independence to those federal nation states wishing to have it for viable and manageable progress, while Heladiva (SL) is ONE sovereign country with a unitary nationhood.

  7. Lorenzo Says:

If Toilet Nadu becomes a seperate nation, that will be a bigger headache for SL. So we should not allow this. Let them live UNDER the Indians forever.

  8. Nanda Says:

Why do you think so ? If they become independent toilets which do not like Lanka can be moved to there. So whats the problem ?

  9. thurai Says:

    Dear Friends,

Laguages and Religions are for us. We donn`t need to suicide ourself or kill others in the name of our Language or Religion. When we do the same as LTTE we are also Terrorist. We must write and speak to make more and more friends unite ourself and make peace among us.

  10. M.S.MUdali Says:

If Tamil Nadu become a SINGLE nation, Sri Lanka will be over run in minutes by those Tamils. How many of you want that kind of problem? TN must be in the Indian Union always if Sri Lanka to be an independant state!

  11. Nanda Says:

By the way Sinhalese are close to Tamils than to Sindhis, Singhs( your biological father) and Pakis. May be Bangalis are ansestors but stills I think we accept Tamils as the closest to us.
Sri Lanka and Tamil nadu can work closely with bilateral trade ect. I don’t think Indian Tamils will be a problem.
Problem is you, the so called “ToiZets”.
Once Tamil nadu is free, they will never help you ToiZets.
This is a good proposal. Sri Lanka should take all steps to support Tamil nadu to acieve their ultimate goal.

  12. Nanda Says:

By the way Sinhalese can take care of 50 million Tamils. We have beaten them many times in the past and will beat them easily, if they are a free country. They will never try to fight with us.
Problem is knowing that they have some brave people from the north in the army, they are just barking. They thought Prabhakaran was Krishna came to save them.

  13. M.S.MUdali Says:

It is good for accepting the TRUTHS. Sinhalese and Tamils are the closest people. First try to settle the matters in Sri lanka. Then move on to liberate the Indian Tamils!

Only Sinhalese claims their fathers are SINGHS.(Sinha) but Tamils dont claim anything as you do!(Do not use abusive language- in the case of language that, when taken in context, tends to or is likely to expose an individual or group or class of individuals to hatred or contempt on the basis of race or religion, the contributor to this forum can be removed without further notice- Editor’s Warning)

  14. Dham Says:

Sri lanka problems settled for the time being.
Time to give you some pride by giving an independent tamiz zand. Why not accept ?
