The BBC reports that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The Canadian prime minister has called upon heads of state to consider Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s human rights record before attending the Commonwealth leaderƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s summit (CHOGM) to be held in Colombo.

Answering a question by a journalist in Toronto, PM Stephen Harper said he has expressed his reservations on Sri Lanka hosting the 2013 summit.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

For sweet Mother of Jesus, Prime Minister Harper, please donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t go there.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That island and its community who saluted and applauded your Conservative party, in particular Minister Stockwell Day, saying ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-SaduƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦SaduƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦SaduƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ (excellentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦excellentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦.excellent) with palms together ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in April 2006, for banning the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE aka Tamil Tigers), when the Canadian Liberal Government watched for 13 years Canada helping the Tamil Diaspora collect two million dollars a month to stuff the Tamil Tiger war chest to buy weapons to kill innocent people and haemorrhage that island, you have now embarked on the same Liberal destructive track ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Bury Sri Lanka for GoodƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ – to be an enemy of Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  For GodƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s sake turn back from that track and take the alternate route to political sanity.

With that salvo from you, Sri Lanka can now chalk in Canada as another hostile western country and you taking the role ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the Commander-in-Chief of theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  separatist Canadian-Sri Lankan Tamil Eelam Army who wants to stop the progress of recovery, reconstruction, rehabilitation and reconciliation of that island nation that walked through hell for almost 30 years and came out of it on 19^th May 2009,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  battered, shot andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  burnt when they annihilated the Tamil Tigers militarily who fought with Canada-funded military weapons.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This is not the way to help a sister Commonwealth country who considered Canada as a friend of theirs for decades. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Canada,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the Commonwealth sister country who contributed handsomely for Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) to continue to be a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”SerendipityƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ by gifting them the Colombo International Airport to link with world capitals, and having the approach Road to the airport christened as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Canada RoadƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢; and gifted electric railway engines with metal plaques calling each one of them, ONTARIO, QUEBEC, MANITOBA, ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ NEWFOUNDLAND, and so forth to link Sri Lankans from city to city.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That is how beautiful the friendship between Canada and Sri Lanka were. But, not any more, I am afraid. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Mr. Prime Minister, and now you have joined hands with your separatist Tamil Conservatives who want to destroy the prospering Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The Globe and Mail of 5 and 10 March, 2011 identified a few of them.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And that is a crying shame.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And all this for a Tamil vote, with a cross marked against a Conservative candidateƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s name on a ballot to be stuffed into a ballot box during a Federal and Provincial election.

Prime Minister Harper, what is sickening about your statement is that little Sri Lanka has a price to pay for you to garner the Tamil vote.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Not that Sri Lanka has any lessons to learn about Human Rights from your and my Canada.

Ha! ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lanka has nothing to learn from Canada on Human Rights, when we interned 23,000 Japanese-Canadians of whom 80% were Canadian nationals after Pearl Harbour was bombed on December 7, 1941, by the Japanese, and placed them in stables and barnyards like in Hastings Park, British Columbia, where they lived without privacy in an unsanitary environment. How Canada on February 24, 1942, an order-in-council passed under the War Measures Act gave the Feds the power to intern ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-all persons of Japanese originƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. And these Japanese are still bitter about it.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  How the Canadian Federal Government gave the interment order based on speculation of sabotage and espionage, although the RCMP and the Defense Department lacked proof.

Ha! Sri Lanka has nothing to learn from Canada on Human Rights who treated Ukrainian-Canadians as enemy aliens during World War I.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  When they were forced to do heavy labour for the profit of their jailers, interned in 24 Canadian concentration camps, and lost whatever wealth they may have had, and were subjected to restrictions of their freedom of association, movement and speech.

Ha! Sri Lanka has nothing to learn from Canada on Human Rights, who violated the human rights of the Lubicon Native Indians.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That is indeed a joke.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  In 1990, after six years of study and deliberation, an 18 country United Nation Human Rights Committee ruled that Canada was in violation of Lubicon rights saying that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Historical inequities and certain more recent developments threatened the way of life and culture of the Lubicon Lake Band, and constitute a violation of article 27 (of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights) so long as they continue.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

Ha! Sri Lanka has nothing to learn from Canada on Human Rights, when we imposed the Chinese Head Tax, a fixed fee charged for each Chinese person entering Canada.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The head tax was first levied after the Canadian Government passed the Chinese Immigration Act of 1885.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This was meant to discourage Chinese from entering Canada after the completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Ha! Sri Lanka has nothing to learn from Canada on Human Rights, when you as our Prime Minister cheered the Americans on Iraq as they killed millions and displaced 7.8 millions when they invaded Iraq on a lie.

Ha! Sri Lanka has nothing to learn from Canada about Human Rights, when you as our Prime Minister said zip about the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”collateral damageƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of about 1,500 civilians killed in Afghanistan and Pakistan by NATO forces.

Ha! Sri Lanka has nothing to learn from Canada about Human Rights, when you as our Prime Minister voted against a resolution condemning the Bark-Livni bombing of Gaza that killed 1,400 which included hundreds of innocent children.

Ha! Sri Lanka has nothing to learn from Canada about Human Rights, when we sent hundreds of air sorties into Libya killing hundreds of innocent Libyan citizens including infants.

And you as our Prime Minister have the gall and temerity to ask other Commonwealth country heads to look at Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Human Rights records before they set out to their palaver in Colombo in 2013.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  If Canada doesnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t want to participate, then so be it.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  But when you are playing to the Canadian-Tamil gallery seeking their votes, it is something else, and it makes me sick to my stomach.

PrayƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦I only hope that other Heads of Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Sister Commonwealth countries will be sane enough to sieve out the Human Rights good from what went on, on the Human Rights front in Sri Lanka during that 27 year long bloody war with the Tamil Tigers.

How the Sri Lanka Government gave back the most precious and treasured right of a person in any civilized society, the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”right-to-lifeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ to 22 million of its peoples which had been hijacked by the Tamil Tigers for 30 years, and now could walk around freely in any nook and corner of the island, without worrying that they would be bombed to smithereens any time of the day by Tamil Tiger planted claymore mines and suicide bombers, after the Tamil Tigers were eliminated militarily on 19 May 2009;

How the Sri Lankan armed forces liberated 300,000 Tamils from the clutches of the Tamil Tigers who were herded like cattle from the west coast to the east coast for 30 months as a human shield;

How the majority Sinhalese cooked one million meals a day toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ feed theirƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  300,000 Tamil brothers and sisters with three hearty meals a day ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” breakfast, lunch and dinner, when it was easy for them to have turned their backs on them and let them starve to death saying, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-starve you Tamil bastards, you killed my peopleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚;

How the Sinhalese Buddhists are helping the Tamils to build religious Hindu Kovils to normalize their spiritual lives, et cetera;

How the government having eliminated the Tamil Tigers, the Tamil parents are no longer standing on pins at doorways until their children come home from school, in case they were kidnapped by the Tamil Tigers to be trained as suicide bombers, et cetera.

This is a honest Conservative speaking to you from his heart who has been with you all since the Reform and Canadian Alliance days and being mentored by Art Hanger.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Ask him, and he will inform you of my passion for my motherland and how eager I am to inform you all with the Tamil Facts contrary to the Tamil Truth that you will hear from your political protƒÆ’†’ƒ”š‚©gƒÆ’†’ƒ”š‚©s like Ragavans and Thayaparans and Gunarathnams.

Mr. Prime Minister, if Canada does not want to attend the Commonwealth Summit in 2013, it is your prerogative and so be it.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The million Tamils who stayed back in Sri Lanka without buying a plane ticket to land at Pearson Airport in Toronto and claim refugee status; the million people who do not want to pay $40,000 to get on a smugglers boat and land on the shores in British Columbia, will not shed any tears for us Canadians because of your decision not to attend the Summit. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-If you donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t want to come, for GodƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s sake keep away from usƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, they will say.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ However, all what they will tell you is ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-to hell with Tamil Diaspora.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  You can keep them as we donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t want them here.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  All what we ask of you is to give PEACE a CHANCE as we deserve that break ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in our lives to live happily ever after in Sri Lanka among our Sinhalese, Muslim and Burgher brothers and sisters all over the island.

Prime Minister Harper, that is not too much for these Tamils living in Sri Lanka to ask from you, wanting to live in peace in Sri Lanka without you making their lives difficult for them. LetƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s have a compassionate human touch on this issue on behalf of the million Tamils living ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  I am sure you are Christian enough to do just that.

I hope you will turn back from the Chretien-Martin Liberal GovernmentsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ track of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Bury Sri Lanka for GoodƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ and take the alternative route to geo-political sanity when dealing with Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That will be a wholesome change for a Conservative policy on Sri Lanka.
