Dear Editor,
I find the articles published in LankWeb interesting to read, and most of them involve the expression of political views, which are the expression of a personsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ opinion.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ LankaWeb rarely gets into speculating on conspiracy theories and pseudoscience and I must commend you for consistently not being a forum for the various nutters who advance such hypotheses.
However, I read with apprehension the subject article, and your normally excellent editorial instincts appear to have been absent in publishing this article.
Victor Fic is among the uninformed who have various pseudoscientific speculations about the 9/11 events.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If he has seen how the controlled demolition of a building is done, then he will understand that what he is proposing is nothing other than pure nonsense.
Usually prior to a controlled demolition of a building, the demolitions contractor will jack hammer away the concrete surrounding the reinforcing steel inside the concrete columns.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Then shaped charge explosives will be placed on those steel members and detonating cords run from these explosives to a central place so that precise triggering of the explosives in a carefully timed sequence can be done to collapse the building in a desired direction.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This preparation usually takes weeks to do with a lot of contractor personnel on site, not to mention the obvious noise and dust.
So, if Victor Fic’s hypothesis is true, then contractors would have been working on various floors of the WTC removing concrete, placing shaped charges and then running detonating cords all over the building weeks in advance of 9/11.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ There have been no reports of such activity from any of the thousands of people who have worked at the WTC in their post 9/11 interviews.
I encourage you to expunge this nonsensical article from your webpage.

Where are you living ?
This is not the only article on this subject. If you Google 9/11 conspiracy theories you will that extremely credible questions have been raised.
About controlled demolition, you are talking about conventional stuff. What do you think when you know the main contractor is US governement ?
What are the explosives avaulable to contractors and what are the explosive availabel to CIA and US forces ?
What is your answer to not the deserve investigations not being carried out for a muder of thousands of people ?
Why Merriort building 50-75m away collapsed without even hit by a plane and without much fire ?
This is not a nonsensical article, this is a personal opinion.

Why it happened on Jewish holiday? These have been widely discussed by American public in all those years and till now in famous American TVs. And there many more evidence that has been discussed. Remember, there was video tape showing Bin laden telling he did it and people in the west who knows about Israel intelligent section do not believe it. They believe Israel set up a guy who looks like Bin Laden and tell the world that he did it. My opinion is these western public are 100 percent correct because they take similar stories what Israel did made up in past into account.
For example, in Years back, Idi Amin in Uganda hijacked a Israeli plane and kept hostage in Uganda airport. Israel send a rescue team to rescue it. And how? Israeli bribed a black Christian look alike man and made him dress up exactly like Idi Amin and sent him to plane. Second, Taliban were not terrorist. They never exported Islamic terrorism. They never had any interest in other countries. They just like their home and enjoy the best of their culture. Of course, they never treated their woman as their sisters and wives. However, it is very odd for a Pakistani or Afgani to have a cordial personal friendship with Saudis. Who introduced these Arabs to Afghanistan is American and US Jews from Pentagon to fight Ex-Soviet and later they connect Osma to 9/11
A Saudi cannot lead a such org. Sure, there are some loose group in the world including Saudis readily available to attack American interest on behalf of Palestinian in case any war however they never capable of making such a bid attack like 9\11 which is useless.

Before rubbishing the so called conspiracy theories, it may help if you were to spend 1 hour watching the video released by a group of engineers and architects (yes, they are American citizens). Here is the link http://www.ae911truth.org/
I do not subscribe to spurious claim but after watching this, I must say, I will place my bets on the so-called conspiracy theory. They do not get you to subscribe to a particular theory but prove that it is most unlikely that the cause of the collapse to be just the planes hitting the two buildings. There is even more interesting information on Building 7 which in fact was NOT hit by any planes but also collapsed in the same style. It may pay to keep your minds open without discarding this idea outright.

Tilak, for the sake of knowing the truth, I would love to hear your arguments against the above two video clips – or better write to http://www.ae911truth.org (with a copy posted here) detailing on what basis you refute their arguments. The videos raise very specific claims and it should be relatively easy to address each point to prove that this is all nonsensical stuff. These guys do not appear to be just ordinary bozos on the street spinning a wild theory and would, I am sure, appreciate your feedback.

In 2001 Rosh Hashanah started on September 17. Yom Kippur was on September 27.
Nothing on September 11.
What’s wrong with Israel saving its people from an Ugandan dictator? It is a good thing. And where did he hide after he was chased away from Uganda? Saudi Arabia!

Nothing is wrong . I am telling their capabilities to fake some thing. The sole purpose of creating israel by west is to third world is to creat wars because they are clever and west can go behind them. Hi Wickrama, great quotes but why is Popular Mechanics have not challenged Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth’s claims in a scientific manner? Not saying that the latter are 100% correct but surely they should be able to refute every claim made by the ‘experts’ in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lw-jzCfa4eQ rather than putting out some warm and fuzzy statements which you have quoted from their websites. In the land of ‘freedom’ lot of mysterious things happen just like bed time story about how a lone crazy gunman shot their President in 1962.
