Tamil Tiger Supportives Finally Being Brought To Task By The Canadian Government

While the Tamil Tiger terrorist insurgency was raging in Sri Lanka with their supportive bases in various parts of the globe, particularly in Canada and ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ feeding the cause and all the attrocities related little or nothing was doneƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by the then Canadian Government. In fact there are many analystsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ who observed that a virtual blind eye was being turned on the issues and that at time the there was even reason to believe thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ top ranking Government officials even mingled with them and the LTTE fronts who held various public events,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ whether inadvertently or not.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It was a time of great stress and anguish for the Government of Sri Lanka.
But today under the jurisdiction of the Harper Administration which was also responsible for hounding the LTTE out of existence in Canada for which all freedom loving Sri Lankans need to be thankful,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ there is further good news that the presentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Canadian Government unlike its predecessor stands firm in how it views the LTTE and those who support itsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ mendacious cause.ThatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the Canada Revenue Agency has fined two Hindu temples in the Toronto area for sending money to a suspected front organization for Sri Lankan rebels following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami is a firm assertion of this in addition to the manner in which the Royal Canadian Mounted Police went after all LTTE activities in big cities in Canada whereƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the terror group to all intents and purposes is non-functional in Canada today or have been driven underground if they have been bold enough to take that route where there will be further heavy penalties to pay if this is indeed true!
Quoting the National Post Newspaper of Canada and one of its chief features editors Mr Stewart Bell it is reported that ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ “The Richmond Hill Hindu Temple and the Hindu Mission of Mississauga, both registered charities, have been hit with $140,000 and $300,000 fines over money they sent to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-non-qualified donees,ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ according to ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the Canadian Revenue Agency which is also the federal charities regulator
which has also said that the temples had donated tens of thousands of dollars to the Tamils Rehabilitation Organization,(TRO) which it called ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-part of the support networkƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, or LTTE. In letters to the temples, the Charities DirectorateƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ has writtenƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-the use of a registered charityƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s resources to sustain the objectives and operations of the LTTE, either directly or indirectly through organizations that operate as its support network, is inappropriate.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ ending quote
Given the astronomical sums of money sent to the LTTE and the damage it caused Sri Lanka for almost three decades these fines are mere token amounts and hardly sufficient as penalties for the mayhem that resulted and innocent lives were torn apartƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ affecting every Sri Lanka in many perspectives but it still needs to be acknowledged that the principleƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and objectives behind it are commendable and that the Government of CanadaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ still needs to change its stance on the accusations being levelled at the Sri Lankan Government from an international platform of anti Sri Lankan elements whose sole incentive seems to be coercion by LTTE supportive TamilƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Diaspora whose ongoing modus operandi towards discrediting the GOSL seems to have caught the sympathetic eye of certain Canadian leaders who have yet toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ correctly evaluate
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the legitimacies and accuracies of some of the material being used as well as the false innuendo and allegations which have little credibility in the eyes of many specialists who have scrutinised and examined them whileƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ deemingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ them intangible and unacceptable towards credibility or authenticity
The fines are the latest sanctions imposed by Ottawa against non-profit groups over suspected financial links to the now-defeated Tamil Tigers, who raised millions in Canada during their unsuccessful fight for independence.
In 2010, the CRA shut down the Tamil (Sri Lanka) Refugee-Aid Society of Ottawa, a charity affiliated with a Canadian convicted of trying to buy missiles and AK-47 assault rifles for the Tamil Tigers in 2006.
The government outlawed the World Tamil Organization, which had offices in Toronto and Montreal, in 2008 after a police investigation found it was operating as a fundraising arm of the Tamil rebels.
The National Post alsoƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ reported in 2001 that, during a visit to the Richmond Hill temple, a reporter had seen collection jars and youths selling Tamil Tigers flags, photos and videos of rebel leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.
The lawyer representing the Mississauga temple, Hari Nesathurai, said the fine was unfair and would be appealed. He said the disputed donations had paid for housing and humanitarian relief for tsunami victims.

USA, Canada, Australia and other western nations, beware of what’s happening to UK democracy which is under seige from Tamil Tigers supported egged on Indian Tamil racists like Seeman, Vaiko, Nadumaran and others. It is not difficult to identify these trouble makers, as they would be demonstrating in the streets carrying the blood soaked Tiger Terorist flag, recently designed by their terrorist leader Prabakaran, similar to the Swastika flag which was designed by a similar monster – Hitler, but banned from displaying in Western nations.
The recent activities by the Tamil Tiger Terrorists have resulted in UK citizens losing (I hope temporarily) their freedom of speech and freedom to function as a Democratic nation, with a right to invite and listen to whoever they wish to. Tamil Tigers are defining whom the UK public could listen to and whom they could not. This is worse than the campaign of a few Muslim extremists in Western Nations demanding that the celebration of Christmas in Govt schools should be stopped.
It is now twice in recent times that the Tamil Tiger Terrorists have told the British public quite openly that they cannot invite or listen to SriLankan leaders, since the Tiger racists fear the truth they could divulge to respecatable audiences, hitherto misled with Terrorists false propoganda as it is very important for the Tigers to continue to mislead them and smuggle in their supporters from around the world (many with false SriLankan passports) and also stop the deportation of any unsuccessful bogus refugees.
London police please nip in the bud the culture of violence the Tigers are spreading and restore the democratic right of the British people to invite and listen to whoever they wish to, without having to take permission from a bunch of migrants, some of whom may have even been involved in heinous crimes with their leader Prabakaran and fearing deportation.

Canadian Govt. : better late than never ! Also, too little, too late, it seems. What about all that damage done earlier by ltte fund raising to Lanka and her People ? Funds raised by ltte al over the world (particularly the Commonwealth countries & USA, where ltte funds were raised), should be confiscated and given to families in Lanka who lost lives of their loved ones and property.
The psychological damage done through the ltte over nearly 30 yrs of terrorism may never be repaired to all the communities of Lanka, but at least if ltte funds that are confiscated are also used for counselling and other psychological support for damaged people, that would be real justice.

There are many firms by LTTE and their supporters in Asien coutries includig Sri Lanka for the last 30 years.
They do their busiess with face of cows. They show the Tiger Flags in western countries to cheat the
Tamils and the world.

Canadian politicians appear to have finally realized that the very ‘innocent refugees’ they helped, for campaign donations and votes, are now turning against them. The tiger stripes are quite apparent as seen by Ms. Sitasebastian, M.P.. It is appropriate that Canada is implementing measures against terrorism, for her own protection. Good for Canada!
