Julian Assange – A show case of the rape of international law and morality

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Julian Assange is not a fugitive from Justice. He is a fugitive from injustice. And from where would this injustice originate? Where else but from the American-Anglo-European axis of evil, the Frankensteins and Draculas of international law and morality? Assange is wanted in the USA to be tried for treason. The road to the USA leads through Britain and Sweden. If delivered as wanted, the verdict is a foregone conclusion. It means, torture, and life long imprisonment if not the death penalty.

Now what did he do to warrant all this? He exposed the hidden crimes of the guardians of international law and morality ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” the self assumed moral conscience of the world; the self constituted judges of world legal order. Assanges speech at the window of the Ecuadorian Embassy was not directed at lackeys, which Britain and Sweden are in the face of their lord and master the USA. His speech was directed principally at Obama. What he said is resumable under two heads (1) Stop persecuting journalists who reveal your hidden crimes (2) Shame on you Britain for your threat to invade the Embassy of Ecuador.

Just before Assange appeared in view of the onlookers, another persecuted for a similar matter spoke to the vast gathering of Assange supporters. That was Mr.Craig Murray a former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan who was sacked from his post for daring to speak of the hidden crimes of the USA and Britain. The Uzbekistan to which Murray was accredited was a brutal dictatorship, the type the USA and its lackeys condemn on every conceivable platform. But Uzbekistan was an ally on their so called ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”war on terrorƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. It also did the dirty work for its contractors. Political murders, torture, disappearances and every crime against the reign of law was the order of the day. Murray said: When I arrived, one of the things you have to do as a new ambassador is call on your fellow ambassadors, pay courtesy calls. And I kept saying to them, you know, to the French, the German, the Italian:This is awful. ItƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s terrible whatƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s happening here. There are thousands of people being rounded up in prisons, tortured, killed, disappeared, and it all seems to have the backing of the U.S.A.” And they said to me absolutely straight, they said, “Yes, but we donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t mention that. You know, President Karimov is an important ally of George Bush in the war on terror, so thereƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s an unspoken agreement that we keep quiet about the abuses.” I decided not to do that and so went very public, making a speech outlining the abuses and drawing international attention to them.

He was hauled up before the Foreign Office, told to shut up, and offered another post which he declined. He was told if such was his decision he would be presented with a charge sheet. The sheet contained all trumped up charges including ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”sexual misconductƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. Murray says those who offend the powers concerned, will have their reputation placed in the dock. Others in a similar predicament have even been charged with ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”shop liftingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦Anything and everything possible to strike at their character and destroy their moral reputation. Now Assange is precisely suspected of sexual crimes in Sweden. He is ready to be questioned but only on condition that Britain and Sweden can give him a guarantee of non-extradition to the USA. This both countries refuse to give.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Using a quote from ShakespeareƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Hamlet, Murray said, if something is rotten in the State of Denmark, it seems to me that the fishy stench from a red herring born across the Atlantic might have permeated to Sweden and the UK too. The Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino seems to think so. He says he finds the charges ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-hilariousƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ saying Assange ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-is charged because his condom broke.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

The threat to invade the Embassy of Ecuador is unprecendented in the annals of diplomacy. The response of the Ecuadorean foreign office was immediate. It reminded Britain that the colonial era was over and that Ecuador was not a British colony. The threat is already seen as an assertion that might supersedes the sacrosanct Vienna Convention on diplomatic immunity. Should the threat be realized, all international conventions would suffer being considered as writ in water. Its immediate effect would be the vulnerability of British Embassies world wide.

The unparalleled nature of the threat becomes all the more obvious when considering that nations charged with total disregard of international law such as China and Russia bowed their heads before the Vienna Convention. Many are the examples that could be adduced to prove that fact. During the Hungarian revolution, Cardinal Midzenty sought refuge in the USA Embassy where he resided for fifteen years. He was not only left untouched but even offered safe passage to a country of his choice. And this by a regime condemned as perpetrators of international crimes by the Western axis of evil!

Before the Second World War, the colonial masters held sway over the rest of the world. After the second world the power rope was pulled by America and the Soviet Union. Since the Soviet Union crumbled, there is apparently only one super power, the USA. But now a new order is emerging with China at the head. There are several forces of gravity engaged in the power tug of war, principally the western power block and the the Chinese-Russsian power block. In addition the Latin American countries are overtly vying for recognition and would appear to outclass India in that endeavour, the latter seeking props and supports from the West to flex its muscles.

The little Latin-American country Ecuador has set a classical example for similar small, powerless states all over the world. It stood up to its convictions against the mightiest nations. The vast majority of Latin American countries stood by it. They let the threat of the Embassy invasion boomerang on Britain. What they said in short is: Do so at your own peril. The example set by Ecuador is to be emulated. It is a lesson for Sri Lanka brow-beaten by the same powers with the help of a big bullying neighbor of a different colour combination. It is time that this country rethink its global alliances. Latin American must be thought of as being a sure bet beause tthey are not tail waggers before the big and the mighty. It is heartening to know that the hero nation Ecuador sided with Sri Lanka during the infamous motion in Geneva brought against us by the axis of evil with India throwing its weight in the same balance.

Better if JA faces ALLEGATIONS against him in Sweden and clear his name.

He ran away from Sweden to UK to avoid facing justice.
Now he runs away from UK to Ecuador to avoid facing justice.

Funnily, Ecuador and USA have extradition treaties valid since 1872! So JA will not be safe in Ecuador.

Even Starus Khan cleared his name. Why can’t JA?

Anyway opinion is divided which is not a bad thing. We have to accept different opinions and SL must stay out of this.

  2. Ananda-USA Says:

Julian Assange is not a US citizen, and therefore, has NO DUTY towards the US to preserve US secrets.

Julian Assange only received US secrets and published that information for all the world to see. Not a wise thing to do, but one he can do without breaking any law of his own country of citizenship.

Therefore, we conclude that he is being unnecessarily hounded on spurious pretexts by various countries at the behest of the US.

If Julian Assange were a US citizen, then he would be guilty of TREASON for revealing classified secrets; then he should be punished to the fullest extent of US law.

The US Army soldier who gave Julian Assange that information, has been rightly charged and convicted of treason and is now serving a lenghty prison sentence. That soldier has been rightly punished for violating the laws of the country of which he is a citizen.

But, pursuing Julian Assange on fake pretexts only brings the United States into disrepute. Instead, the US should hide the skeletons in its cupboard better in the future. Better still, in the future, the US should avoid creating skeletons it needs to hide!

Opinion is divided by the ratio of 1:10 in Lanka Web and it can be stated only that one Zionist supporter will support USA on this.
All informed people would know that JA has always indicated that he is ready to face all charges. In fact there are no charges. Australian ABC made a correction that there are no rape charges agaist him, but Sweden require a satement from him for the alegations. It is Sweded who is not prepared to take the ” statement” form him in accordance with internation law. They simply want to obey USA to ship the lamb for slaughter.

If the USA is allowed to do this this time, there will be ZERO law and order in the world. There will be ZERO whistle blowers and there will be ZERO justice. This is what the single OPINIONed Lorn(Z)o wants. (Z) for Zion.
