Former Sri Lanka Army Commander Sarath Fonseka on Tuesday filed papers to register a new political party in the island nation under his leadership.

Aiyooooo Dear Mr. Ex. Commander, I urge you to call upon the President and ask for a good job. Politics is not for you. We saw how you bungled many times, over and over again.  Don’t you get sound advice from close confidants, friends, relatives  before you open your mouth and utter nonsense like forming a new party?  Not even UNP can raise their heads now and you think you can form a new party? With whom?   JVP, TNA and other jokers? Please don’t make yourself a joker.

Sir, please listen to me, you are a very nice guy, but politics is not for you. If I were you, I would have played the game good build my future earned good money using my head and stayed with the Defense. Now, you missed the boat.  Greediness is the biggest failure for some and you fell into that hole too.  Exactly, what are you doing these days?  I know,  you must be finding it difficult these days being a tough Soldier to move around.

Some other top soldiers who followed you, are no where to be found. They say, the biggest miscalculation they did in their carrier was to follow you. Aiyoooooo…  But I still love you.  I tell you from my heart. I attended every single rally you held and I know not even 5% of people who attended those rallies voted for you. Remember the big rallies and thousands of people? After your speech every one of them left the rally and didn’t vote for you. You know why?  You were only talking about your land file some one was holding in his ‘Kihilla’. People got so upset listening to this same old crap.

They wanted to hear how you gave jobs to them, food to them, what prices you were going to bring down, how you were going to increase their pay check, and so on. But you were only talking about the ‘file’ and ‘computerrr kota kota’ story. You and I both know, you just cannot talk. It’s like base is less and treble is high.   You have no experience in doing politics but you are a very good solider.  Kick ass, throw the plate, shoot the head off, bomb the whole area, give commands, catch Terrorists, tell women soldiers how to fire. This is what you are good at.

But you are not good at smiling at every one, listen to crap, answer people when they ask where the money went, go open shops, plays, movies, travel around the world on official trips but never attend the meeting they went for, get commission on every single deal that the Ministry signs contracts with, go from house to another begging for their vote, bend down, kneel down  and worship people when you are begging for vote and so on.

SO MY DEAR FEARLESS SOLDIER,  POLITICS IS NOT FOR YOU..   LETS’ HAVE LUNCH AND I WILL EXPLAIN BETTER. MY ONLY ADVICE TO YOU IS TO  GO TO TEMPLE TREES, JUST SMILE WITH THE PRESIDENT JUST ONE TIME AND YOU GET THE JOB YOU WANT IN NO TIME. YOU LIVE HAPPY AND PEACEFULLY.

Ohhh, did that cricketer and the deal maker talk to you lately?  Mara deal he made right??  By the way did Mangala (ha ha ha) contact you after that? I have a feeling he might join you. He likes tough guys!!.  Same with Ranil but he will not join you because he is well off staying where he is. He is looked after good by the big boss.

Today’s News..

Former Sri Lankan army commander to form new political party

COLOMBO, March 12 (Xinhua) — Former Sri Lanka Army Commander Sarath Fonseka on Tuesday filed papers to register a new political party in the island nation under his leadership.

Fonseka, who filed his party papers at the Elections Department on Tuesday morning, issued an open invitation for any political party member to join his new party in a move to form a strong opposition.

Sri Lanka’s Democratic National Alliance (DNA) MP Jayantha Kettagoda will function as the general secretary of the party, Fonseka said.

Fonseka contested the 2010 presidential elections in the island nation under the Democratic National Alliance but lost the race to President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

As commander of the army, Fonseksa played an integral role in ending the country’s civil war in 2009, defeating Tamil Tiger rebels. He later had a public fall out with President Mahinda Rajapaksa and unsuccessfully challenged Rajapaksa in the 2010 presidential election.

Following the end of the war, Fonseka was promoted to a four star rank in the Sri Lankan army, becoming the first serving officer to hold such a rank. He has been described as Sri Lanka’s most successful army commander.

On Nov. 29, 2009, Fonseka formally announced his candidature in the 2010 Sri Lankan presidential election. His candidacy was endorsed by the main opposition parties and Fonseka became the main opposition candidate challenging President Rajapaksa. He campaigned under the sign of a swan.

Following his election defeat, Fonseka was arrested on Feb. 8, 2010, and the government announced he will be court-martialed for committing “military offences.” He was found guilty of corrupt military supply deals and sentenced to three years in prison. After serving more than two years in prison, Fonseka was released on May 21 last year.

Sorry to see where he is now. He was the best commander for the Army and that is why Gota selected him to deliver the goal of liberating the country from the clutches of LieTTE. After the war was ended, it was the bankrupt JVP who spoiled him in the first place, then Ranil. He is a patriotic soldier but now ended up in nowhere. I think personally he wants to join the patriotic camp again from his recent statements, but his wife and people around him are still pushing for a separate party and misleading him… The day he conquer his ego either by meditation or some other realisation, he will not get misled by these forces.

I liked it when he said that this is a Sinhala country to Karunanidy of TN. Tamils are living with us as brothers and sisters, no doubt about it… but this is the only country in the whole world where Sinhalese are living… so it is Sinhala country… Tamils have a home country in Tamilnadu.

Good to see Arjuna is no more with him.. SF should re-assess the situation and give up political aspirations…without further wasting his time.

The day he came to hand over his resignation to President Rajapakse, the President said: ” Sarath – if you contest against me that is alright, but you will loose. After that you can still come and work with me”. He is so unfortunate that he did not heed that advice. He went onto utter obscenities against the President and the Defence Secretary obviously buoyed by the lies of the JVP and the UNP. The story afterwards is now history!

He betrayed the Sinhala Buddhists by this gesture, abdicating his historical responsibility the Sinhala Buddhists who supported his every military move and walked in with eyes wide open into the trap setup for him by the Christian UNP. JVP was looking for any ship of convenience to boost up their hardly existing popularity. That was highly unbecoming of a celebrated General.

However General is not the first be so haughty. The most recent one that comes to my mind is that of Gen Mc Arthur.

At least it is not too late for him to walk back to the President at Temple Trees and get his pardon for all the profanities uttered and his ugly conduct so far.

He is still Sri Lanka’s foremost soldier and we sincerely hope that he will be kind enough to restore our pride in him.

Yes,he must give up politics and work with the government in power to develop the country and safeguard the country against any foreign predator, that may try to destabilize the island.Bring law and order to the island and irradiate chaos and lawlessness and other shortcomings that would aid or set the scene for the enemies to exploit.

Sadly he was taken for a ride by the wrong elephant, never bother to realise or fathom the real elephant in the room,if he got by drift?
