JHU Patali Champika Ranawaka says Prabhakaran was better than President Mahinda Rajapaksa, should be punished properly

Speaking at the ‘Satana’ political programme in the Sirasa television,the former Minister and the general secretary of the Jathika Hela Urumaya party Patali Champika Ranawaka had said during the past five years the President Mahinda Rajapaksa had done more harm to the country than what LTTE leader Prabhakaran had done in the 30 years of ethnic war.
The Rajapaksa administration was very corrupt and was full of ‘deal’ people and when he realised it only he decided to quit and should not allow them to flee the country and should be dealt under a peoples judiciary and given the maximum punishment.

“Chairman of Kotikawatta-Mulleriya Pradeshiya Sabha Prasanna Solangaarachchi (UPFA) will resign from the party membership, today, and will join the Common Opposition to assist Presidential candidate Maithripala Sirisena at the forthcoming election.
Solangaarachchi will make a public announcement on this regard today at a press conference to be held in Kotikawatta.
Solangaarachchi was a supporter of the deceased Kolonnawa UPFA organizer Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, the father of Western Provincial Councilor Hirunika Premachandra.
At the 2011 Pradeshiya Sabha election, he polled the highest number of preferential votes and elected as the Chairman for Kotikawatta-Mulleriya PS.
Solangaarachchi was also the President of the Sri Lanka Pradeshiya Sabha Chairmen’s Association.”

This guy polled the HIGHEST preference votes in ALL PS bodies in the country. Duminda Silva verbally abused his wife before killing Premachandra in 2011.
This will have a bearing on KADUWELA electorate which normally wins for SLFP with a great majority.

Corrupt should be punished but what has gotten into this man now!

I used to have respect for Champika as a fellow Buddhist, but this latest JHU stunt of supporting the American sponsored Ranil/Maithripala opposition is just way over the top and shows he lacks the basic understanding of politics, economics, and international relations to even be part of the Sri Lanka government.
The LTTE terrorist leader who killed THOUSANDS of innocent Buddhists, Muslims, and Tamils, including women and children, is BETTER than Rajapaksa? Maybe when US Ambassador Sison visited Champika last summer she made him the same deal that Weerakoon rejected – a house, green card, and scholarships in the US for his two girls. What a sad ending to what used to be a decent man.

Champika was in Australia recently and he was asked about Indian imperialism in Sri Lanka and elsewhere. He did not give a direct answer. When it comes to Sri Lanka the highest ranking Indian dealers are in Australia. They do it behind the screen.

Does any one want to go back and look at Champick’s past? Does any one want to talk about his devoice? may be not because the questions that crop up are very disturbing. 1 How much does he pay alimony to his wife? How much up front he paid to get the devoice? All these are public records, if one has time can be found on the internet on a .lk site. 2. What about the Australian lady who gave one million Australian dollars to Champick’s first election campaign? How did he find money to settle the devoice? So he did some under ground work with coal suppliers from India and China. According to Lorenzo, B.P. Jayasundra is corrupt person and a Chandirka’s man. What really happened here is complicated. Champika’s house and his office was to be raided by INCOME tax people and Champika got he word from a leak. What he then, did was to shave his head with his followers and became DASASIL. MR stopped the raid thinking that the Buddhist clergy will be upset if they do it. So MR appoints B. P. Jayasundra (remember Champica wanted P.B. Jayasundra removed from the Treasury and he did) to investigate Minister and the ministry, and finds out where the money went then he removes Champika. Now there is a Parliamentary investigation (on going) and the new minister says this loss happened during Champiks time and she is not responsible for the BILLION Rupee loss. 3. Christie you are absolutely right. 4. Vimutti, Second paragraph last sentence “USED TO BE A DECENT MAN” does not apply to Champika. I know lot about him because I am originally from his area. I respected this man and saw in him some decency than the others but not anymore. He lost everything by defecting to the side of the bad guys. Chandrika is a drunkard and living with her ancestors in England. Ranil is the man who signed and hand over half of our beloved country ownership to the most wanted terrorist Prabakaran. Sirisena is like a PAMBAYA who wanted to take personal revenge from his Boss. Champika also fallen to that same hot soup. They will be buried on January 9th for ever and no one will respect or believe these guys anymore except our enemies outside who bank rolled green bucks to their campaign.
Any party supported by TNA SHOULD BE REJECTED BY THOSE WHO LOVE OUR MOTHERLAND BECAUSE for the last thirty five years they were campaigning for a separate state with the help of western stooges. TNA openly said so many things against our state and our leaders and after this election these scavengers should be brought to justice for treason. I wish and pray for it.

Wow! Champika Ranawaka has really put his FOOT IN HIS OWN MOUTH with this statement!
Only yesterday, he was trying to strike a “Deal” with the President, to remain in the Cabinet of the same President that he is now DEMONIZING in this way.
Why did he want to remain with the President, if the President was worse than the Murderous Terrorist Velupillai Prabhakaran who brought Sri Lanka to its knees?
This truly REFLECTS the LACK OF BALANCE & GOOD JUDGMENT in these FICKLE politicians!
I now ECHO what Ranjit said above: I have now lost ALL RESPECT for this man.
