මම මීට ඉහත ඩෙ න්ගු රෝගයට සිංහල වේද හාමිනේ කෙනෙක් විසින් ගලැබූ කොළ වලින් හැදු බෙහෙතක් ගැන ලිපියක් ලිව්වෙමි . කැනඩාවේ ”’කිබෙක් ””’ නම් පලාතක ජීවත් වන බෝධි ධනපාල නම් අයෙක් ඒ කරුණු හාස්‍යට ලක් කළේය . මහරගම වත්තේගෙදර බටහිර දොස්තර කෙනෙක් වන ලෙනෝරා ද ගස්ලබු කොළ වලින් මේ රෝගයටම බෙහෙතක් නිපදවා පේ ටන්ට් බල පත්‍රයද ලබා ඇති බව නොබෝදා පලවිය . දොස්තරගේ බෙහෙත රජයේ රෝහල වල ලේඩු න්ටද දී ඇත හදා බැලීමට කටයුතු කර ඇත . ධනපාල මහතා එදා වෙදහාමිනේගේ බෙහෙත රෝහල් වල අ ත්‍ හදා නොබලන්නේ ඇ ය්කියා ඔලොක්කුවට ඇසුවේය . ඒ බට හිර වය්ද්‍යා වරුන්ගේ හැටි බව ධනපාල වැනි බටහිර ගැත්තෙක් නොදන්නවා විය නොහැක .වෙදහාමිනෙට බටහිර වය්ද්‍යා වරු රෝහල් වල ඉඩක් දුන්නේ නැත එහෙත් දොස්තරට ඉඩ දුන්නේය .බොහෝ දොස්තරලා ට අවශ්‍ය තමන් වැජබෙන්නට ය . ඔවුන් හැම විටම සින්හල වේද කමට ගරහති . ඉස්සර හිටපු ලෙනෝරා දොස්තරනම් ආයුර්වේදයත් උගත් අයෙකි නන්දදාස කෝදාගොඩ සීදුවේ ලංකානන්ද හාමුදුරුවන්ගේ සිංහල බෙහෙත් ගැන පර්යේෂණ වලටද සහය් දුන්නේය . ඔවුහු කිසිවිටෙකත් සිංහල කමට කෝචෝක් කලේ නැත .
අයින්ස්ටයින් , නිව්ටන් වැනි විද්‍යාඥයින්ගෙන් ගෙන් බේරුන හැකි බේරෙන්න බැරි විද්‍යාඥ යන්යය් කියා ගන්නා වට පඩ යන්ගෙනි

ඔබතුමා විස්වාශ නොකලත් ලංකාවේ ඉන්න සිංහලයින්ගෙන් බාගයක් පල්මෝඩයො. නැත්නම් වැඩිවන රුපියල් දහදාහ බලගෙන ජාත්යන්තරව පිළිගත් ආර්ථික සංවර්ධනයක් තිබූ ආන්ඩුවක් පෙරලා කසිකබල් ආන්ඩුවක් හදාගෙන මුලුරටම නිකං මංඤඤ් කරගනීවිද.
හැම බටහිර දොස්තර කෙනෙක්ම එහෙම නෑ. මම එන්නේ දොස්තර පවුලකින්. ලෙඩක් උනහම අපට ඉස්ස්‍රවෙලාම දෙන්නෙ සිංහල බෙහෙත්.
අපේ මෝඩකමට අයින්ස්ටයින්, නිව්ටන් වැනි විද්‍යාඥයින්ට බැනලා වැඩක් නැ නවීන විද්යාව තමයි අපේ ජිවිතයට උපකාර වන්නේ. මේ පනිවිඩයත් ඔබතුමාට ලැබෙන්න සලස්වන්නෙත්, යම් අයෙක් ලෙඩ උනාම රසායනාගාර විශ්ලේෂණයත්, වෛද්ය පරීක්ෂණත් කරන්නෙත් නවීන විද්යාව නිසයි.

Last year when I was in Sri Lanka, I got fever.After three days my friend admitted me to a private hospital in Colombo, and I was found to be suffering from Dengue fever. We channeled on of the best doctors for Dengue. My blood platelet count was going down daily. I was kept on IV fluids constantly. After two day s my brother, on his visit asked me if I would take some papaya leaf he has brought . As I was not given any medications, I agreed because I thought that there is nothing to react with. I took a teas spoon twice for two days an my platelet count was going up and was released from the hospital.
Had I been given any medication I would not have taken the papaya juice.
Instead of brushing off the native remedies, they must be investigated but the big pharma do not want that. It is like the coconut oil story. The big edible oil manufacturers condemned it for along time. Now it is sold all over the world as one of the healthiest which is said to help people with Alzheimers disease.

නීල සියලුම දොස්තරලා එකවගේ නොවන නිසා තමය ””බොහොමයක් ” වචනය යොදා ඇත්තේ මියගිය දොස්තර ලෙනෝරා සහ කෝදාගොඩ ගැන කියා ඇත්තේ නමුත් වැඩි හරියක් සිංහල ව්දකමට හිනා වෙන කෝචෝක් කරනඅ යය් ගස්ලබු බෙහෙත වෙදහාමිනේ හැදු විට රෝහල්වල භාවිතාවට ඉඩ නොදුන්නේ බට උගත්කමේ ප්‍රතිඵලය විසින් ඇතිකළ උද්ධච්ච කමය් බටහිර නවීන විද්යාව ප්‍රයෝජනවත් තමය සසර දික් කර ගැනීමට එය ”’නැතිමම ” අතය් ගෙන අමාරුවේ වැටුන විට ””හොඳ ””’ගැ ලවිජ්ජාවක් ”””’ ඔයවිදිහේ ගැලවිජ්ජා ප්‍රයෝජනයට ගත යුතු ක්‍රමයක් තියෙනවා අපේ අරමුණත් සාක්ෂාත් කරගන්නා ගමන්

නීලා,
නවීන විදයාව අවිදයාව මත ගොඩනැගී ඇත. එහෙත් සාමාන්‍ය මිනිසුන්ට වෙන කල හැකි දෙයක් නැතිබැවින් එකම ක්‍රමවේදයයි. එහෙත් ප්‍රශ්නය මෙය නොවේ. පල් හොරු නවීන විද්‍යාවට ඇතුලුවී ඇත. උන් එයෙ යොදා ගන්නේ මිනීමැරීමටයි.
බටහිර බෙහෙත් කර්මාන්තයේ හැටි ඉගෙනගන්න.
එකම බෙහෙතක් දිගටම ගැනීමට සිදුවෙන පරිදි නිර්මාණය කරඇති බෙහෙත් බහුලයි.
යුදෙව්වෝ මේ කර්මාන්තයද අල්ලාගෙන මිනී මරමින් සිටිති.

India is having problems with the west re the Neem tree products for health. Some in the west want to patent the Indian Neem tree !
The Neem tree producs have many uses. Dr Vandana Shiva (Indian Physicist) has so far prevented the patenting of the Indian Neem tree by the western interested parties.
Our people in Sri Lanka are ignorant of the machinations by foreign countries, and how they use laws which our people have no idea even existed.
It is up to our Medical Faculties in our Universities to educate the public about these matters using the printed media in Lanka. Perhaps the Medical Faculties can also do proper studies into the use of Papaw extract in Dengue fever and publish the results.

Yes the Western corporations took the very healthy coconut oil and converted it into a partially hydrogenated fat and trans fats which are now considered to be very unhealthy synthetic fats which are not processed by the human metabolism. As a result it sits in arteries and causes plaque build up and heart problems. In Sri Lanka we still use it as Margarine while in the west it is now almost banned since it has to be declared on labels. As always the truth wins.

We had CSIRO and it had different research departments. But unfortunately Banda’s 56 destryed all that. Same now her daughter doing the job.
We need our Wattoru wedhakama with a new foundation. But unfortunately it is almost dead.

අපේ සින්හල වට්ටෝරු වෙදකම 56යෙන්පසු ඉන්දියානු වෙදකම නිසා නැත්තටම නැතිවී යයි.
බටහිර පිලිවෙත් සමග එක්ව අපේ වෙදකම නැන්වීමට කාලය පැමින ඇත.

Doctors in both Malaysia and India accept the extract of Papaya leaves as a cure. If you search a bit on the internet, it is even possible to find a research paper written by a Sri Lankan doctor, who concludes that this extract should be acceptable as a form of treatment.
Yet the public is kept sadly misinformed. After my son got sick with it, the public health inspector of the area paid an obligatory visit to inspect the house and its surroundings. He specifically told my wife that even though the ‘Dosthara’ will not like them to say so, he knows that drinking Papaya Juice can be very beneficial in curing the disease.
The sin committed by our medical establishment by not making this fact public, and possibly causing a lot of pain and suffering will not be an easy one to get away with. That is a powerful Karmic act.
