If Mahinda Joins Sirisena Again, Wimal and Udaya Must Contest Together Under a Separate Party

Sirisena again uses blackmail to cow down Mahinda and clan to contest under his party. Unless Rajapaksas agree, a few of them will be in prison. Sirisena meticulously planned this for a long time. He postponed LG and PC elections until investigations completed and he has a stick against the Rajapaksas. Then he had to again postpone LG elections to have enough time to negotiate with the Rajapaksas. Their negotiation happens on Monday 27 between panels agreed by them. Sirisena camp will be represented by Nimal Siripala, Lasantha and Anura Priyadarshana while Mahinda camp will be represented by CB Rathnayake, Mahinda Abeywardhana and Pavithra.
Conditions put forward by the Mahinda camp are all political and nothing of national importance! This is a shame. Instead, the conditions should have been prevention of selling state assets, a halt to the new constitution and a complete stoppage of ETCA.
Sirisena is politically desperate as his SLFP will fall to the fourth place if contest alone. Mahinda camp is desperate on personal security. Shiranthi simply cannot spend a day behind bars and Gotabaya has plenty of enemies who will harass him in prison. The proposed marriage between them is out of personal desperation. It has no national worth.
This is a golden opportunity for Weerawansa and Gammanpila to form one unified front and contest the LG election. They can have a sizable number of councillors who will hold the balance of power. They can be the kingmakers of the PC elections, the next presidential election and the parliamentary election. Change of electorates favours Wimal and Udaya.
Sirisena surely anticipated this possibility too. That’s why he attempted to silence Wimal and Udaya early. They were both imprisoned, harassed and even their family members were harassed (for the first time in this country) as part of a political witch hunt. Unfortunately for Sirisena, it failed to deter them. Sirisena’s plan of attack is to neutralize or win over all those around Rajapaksas, isolate the former ruling clan and strike at the most opportune time.
If Mahinda and Sirisena fail to come to an agreement, Wimal and Udaya have another opportunity – to join Sirisena! Although this sounds ironic, it is the next best thing. Already NFF and SLPP are at loggerheads over the number of NFF candidates within the SLPP. If NFF can contest with the SLFP, voters will pick NFF candidates for their preference votes as SLFP is so unpopular. This will give NFF a commanding position at the expense of the SLFP.
Therefore, Wimal and Udaya have a golden opportunity to propel Sri Lanka in the right direction under both conditions. They must grab this opportunity. Voters desperately seek a new political front as they are fed up of old and repeatedly recycled political clans. Voters are also disgusted with political double games played by the JO. If it opposes Sirisena, it must not negotiate with him. If it is against Indian interference, its leaders must not creep into India House at night. If it opposes the confederated constitution, its members must not be part of the crime. If it opposes anti-national bills, JO leaders must lead the charge within parliament and vote against them. Voters cannot be fooled forever with self-sympathy. Voters must feel sympathy for themselves!

Rajapaksa Now Refers To Maithripala As “Our President”: Says, “We Will Protect Him”</b.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday described his rival, President Maithripala Sirisena as "our President" and said, " we will look after our President" (Apey Janadhipathui api balagannam).
Making a statement to the media in Ahungalla, the former President said the SLFP should pull out of the national unity government and work with the Joint Opposition.
When asked what would happen to the President in the event of a pullout of that nature, Rajapaksa said they would look after the President.
The former President indicated that the discussions with the SLFP on a possible reunion before the LG election was positive.
"We have appointed three MPs to represent the JO. It is their responsibility to discuss with the SLFP and arrive at an agreement," Rajapaksa said.
He also added that his intention was not to divide the SLFP.

People will never trust a stranger to lead the country. People are politically mature in Sri Lanka though they can be easily be misguided by deceitful propaganda ploys

Unfortunately for our country, you are probably correct (at the moment). It applies to any country, poeple vote for one of the main parties.
However, I cannot agree with your last statement , politically mature people will not be misguided by lies. I am not sure you meant to say politcians for “people” but people are not fooled nowadays by propaganda lies. This is the mistake “mature politicians” are making these days.

I agree well known parties still attract votes. But that alone is not sufficient. It is a necessary but not sufficient condition. I am dreaming of a day people look at merit more.

I think you are wrong about the negotiations between the MR and MS camps, when you say that MR will NOT achieve substantial through them.
I think MR WILL HELP to reconstitute the SLFP, because BOTH MR and MS KNOW that to do OTHERWISE is tantamount to ensuring a UNP victory, albeit by a narrow margin, and leaving a fractured moribund SLFP in its wake.
BUT, MR will DO SO ONLY after RECEIVING significant concessions from MS, maximally the PM post in a NEW Govt with a NEW Cabinet, or minimally the post of Leader of the SLFP for now. MR WILL NOT give his support to the MS-SLFP Faction for MERE CRUMBS, but for SUBSTANTIAL CONECESSIONS that will ENSURE that the Patritic MR-FACTION will ULTIMATELY TRIUMPH and form a New Govt under his leadership.
The SENTIMENT among Sinhala Buddhists in Sri Lanka is HEAVILY against the Yamapalanaya and is in favor of the Patriotic Opposition. They will SWEEP the Local Govt elections, no matter whether they are in or out of Govt.
The UNP will use all of its thuggery and its propaganda machinery to confuse the issues, but THEY WILL FAIL ABYSMALLY, only AGGRAVATING the anger of the majority community. II WILL BE TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE, and the best laid plans of its DESHAD-DROHI leaders will fall to pieces!
The only other method to protect Sri Lanka in the short term is to create a BROAD Coalition between the JO, the NFF, the SLPP and ALL other Patriotic Forces and contest as an ENTIRELY NEW Political Party.
The Sinhala Buddhist Community will support that effort instead of the MS-SLFP faction, but nevertheless the result will be a UNP victory, albeit with a MUCH STRENGTHENED Patriotic Front that can compete and WIN the General Elections in 2020.
The result could also be that in the INTERIM, the UNP, DESPERATE to WIN in 2020 and save its leaders from PRISON and/or permanent residence abroad, will COMPLETELY CONTROL and HASTEN the creation of a New Constitution and other LEGAL SAFEGUARDS for themselves at the expense of the Nation, IMPRISON all of its opponents, and will EMPOWER EVERY Minority community to the fullest.
VIOLENCE in the STREETS will be the order of the day, and the blood of Patriots will FLOW profusely in good cause.
Nevertheless, in the end, the PATRIOTIC FORCES will TRIUMPH, and the current PARA-GATHI Yamapalanaya leaders will fly out of the country to safe havens ALREADY in place in foreign countries and survive on their ill-gotten gains sequestered abroad. Now you know another reason why ROBBING the Central Bank and leaving the ROBBERS FREE to deploy the funds both within and outside Sri Lanka was the HIGHEST PRIORITY of the Yamapalanaya. That FUNDED the PARACHUTE that enabled their leaders to take the necessary criminal risks in the future.

Sirisena cannot be trusted. If Mahinda agrees to do anything (emphasised) with Sirisena, voluntarily, he is out of his mind.
Ultimately Sirisena is not going to give up his presidency, policies and supporters. He will change his mind as weather (or even faster). He also has to account for Chandrika, India, USA, etc.
Mahinda was blackmailed by Sirisena with the threat of allowing the police to arrest Gotabaya and Shiranthi. Otherwise there is no way an experienced and mature politician like Mahinda even consider negotiating with Sirisena.
If the two come to a deal, Wimal and Udaya must contest the election under their own party, separately. As uncompromising patriots, at least these two must avoid Sirisena’s trap. If SLFP and SLPP contest separately, their best bet is to join Sirisena’s SLFP and contest with it. People will pick NFF and PJHU candidates for preference votes rejecting Sirisena’s SLFP clowns. Thereafter SLPP and NFF/PJHU will have a controlling stake in most LGs.

MR is a shrewd politician. Remember the days he fooled Prabaha. Every one thought MR was spineless, by giving into Prabaha during negotiations, in spite of Prabaha publicly accepting invitations to attend overseas and finally sending his second in line to meet MR.
Whether you like it not, putting your Right signal and just at the turning point turn Left, or in this case U Turn. MR knows people are with him. As Dilrook said, if MR trust MS, we need to think again.

Can MR control MS in many grey deals of MS. MS is trying to bring his ENEMY as close as possible to him and SHOOT HIM.
I personally trust MR, he has a vision. But, if he joins hands with MS,
it is as bad as joining with the UNP.
Surely, Wimal and Udaya have done enormous amount of hardwork. Everything Wimal narrated in regard to Constitution, Judiciary have come true. Then we have Gota, Sarath Weerasekera, Wasantha Karannagoda a great team. We need a strong team to UNDO all the anti-national problems created by this government, in brief:
i. cancellation Victory Day
ii.Singing National Anthem in Sinhala Only
iii.Cancel 13A and 19A
iv.Arrest Bond Scam culprits, FM Fonseka, Rajaitha, Champaka,
iv. Investigate the Balance Sheet of MS prior to and after becoming President.
I have no doubt, Wimal will do it. I am sure Udaya Gammanpila is well qualified to dig into these.

What ever we all think at the end only good will prevail and Mahinda Rajapaksa our president will come on top. He will never trust the man who betrayed him for sure. By any means if he joins with Sirisena camp that’s his end because majority of the people who followed him including Maha Sanga will leave him and stay away from politics. He knows that and we too knows it very well. So we hope nothing bad will come out from these talks. We all should do now is to get organised and stand together with this great leader without any doubts.
Vote for pohottuwa blindly as the first step to send this evil government packing. We don’t want a government which stays blindly when Terrorists celebrate their dead by cutting cakes and lightning candles. We don’t want a government which allows Arabs to come and grab our lands with the permission of this evil government and build plaques written in Arabic instead of English and Sinhalese. How can this happen in my homeland?? Because of the traitors in the Yamapalanaya government. Be united and show them our disapproval in the coming elections. Be brave patriots.

අවසානයේ 2015 වසරේදී උන්ට රිසි සේ එය සිදුවිය. ඒ යහපාලනය බිහි කිරීම තුළිනි. ඉන්පසු උන් අපට පාඩම් කියාදීම ඇරඹීය. වත්මන් යහපාලන රජය බලයට පැමිණීමේදී ජනතාවට දුන් පොරොන්දු අනුව 2015 ජනාවාරි 8 න් පසු ආරම්භ කෙරුණු විමර්ශන කිහිපයක්ම තිබිණි.
ප්රගීත් එක්නැලිගොඩ විමර්ශනය, වසීම් තාජුඩීන් විමර්ශනය, ප්රවීණ මාධ්යවේදී ලසන්ත වික්රමතුංග ඝාතනය, පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රී නඩරාජා අවිරාඡ් ඝාතනය සහ ප්රවීණ මාධ්යවේදීන් වූ උපාලි තෙන්නකෝනට පහර දීම, කීත් නොයාර්ට පහරදීමේ විමර්ශනය මේ අතර මුල් තැනක තිබිණි.

මේ නිසාම වත්මන් ආණ්ඩුව බලයට පත්වූ දිනයේ සිටම සමාජයේ නිරන්තර කතාබහට ලක් වූ මාතෘකාවක් බවට “ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ අද හෝ හෙට අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නවා” යන්න පත්ව තිබිණ. පසුගිය දිනවල යළි කරළියට පැමිණි වැලිකඩ සිද්ධිය හමුවවේදී ද මේ කතාව යහමින් කියෑවෙන්නට විය.
මිනිස්සු එසේ කතාබහ කරද්දී වරක් “ඇවන් ගාර්ඩ්” සිද්ධියට අධිකරණයට පැමිණි ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂයන්ට ඇප අත්සන් කරනතුරු උසාවි සිරමැදිරියේ රැඳී සිටින්නට සිදු වූවාද අපට මතකය. එහෙත් මේ දක්වා ගොඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමක් නම් සිදු නොවිණි.
එසේ අත්අඩංගුවට නොගත්තද එදා රට වෙනුවෙන් වැඩ කිරීම හමුවේ එල්ටිටීඊයේ මාරාන්තික ප්රහාරයක ගොදුරක් වී නූලෙන් බේරුණු ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂට අද සිදුව තිබෙන්නේ සිරගත කිරීමේ අභියෝගයකට මුහුණ දෙමින් උපන් රට වෙනුවෙන් කළ සේවය මෙනෙහි කරමින් කල්ගෙවන්නටය. එය මොනතරම් ගුණමකුද?
හිටපු ආරක්ෂක ලේකම් ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට පොලිස් මූල්ය අපරාධ ඒකකය සුදානමින් සිටින්නේ යෑයි යන්න මේ වන විට සමාජයේ දැඩි කතාබහට ලක්ව තිබෙන්නකි.
පොලිස් මූල්ය අපරාධ ඒකකය පසුගියදා ආරක්ෂක ලේකම්වරයා ලෙස යුද්ධයට නායකත්වය දුන් ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට සූදානම් වී ඇත. එය සැලවී මහා සංඝරත්නය ජනාධිපතිවරයා හමුවී කළ සාකච්ඡාවකින් පසු තාවකාලිකව සියල්ල නතර වී තිබෙන අතර සමාජ ජාල මාධ්ය ඔස්සේ ප්රචාරය වීමත් සමඟ ඉහත කතාබහ සමාජගත විය.
මේ අන්මදමට ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට නියමිතව තිබී ඇත්තේද එල්ටීටීඊයේ ඊනියා මහවිරු සතිය ඇරඹෙද්දීය. උතුරේ මියගිය ත්රස්තවාදීන්ට පහන් දැල්වෙද්දී යුද්ධයට නායකත්වය දුන් හිටපු ආරක්ෂක ලේකම් ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා එසේ අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමේ සූදානමක් තිබුණේ නම් මෙහිදී එයද සුෙවිශේෂී වන්නකි.

මෙහිදී මේජර් ජෙනරාල් ජී.ඒ. චන්ද්රසිරි අදහස් දක්වමින් යුද්ධයේදී ත්රිවිධ හමුදාවම පොදු අරමුණකට ගනිමින් යුද ජයග්රහණයට මෙහෙයවූ නායකයා ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ බව සඳහන් කළේය. එසේම අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් එල්ටිටීඊ ත්රස්තවාදීන් පුනරුත්ථාපනය කරමින් ලක්ෂ ගණනින් අවතැන් වූ ජනතාව රැකබලා ගෑනීමට හමුදාවට භාර කළ පශ්චාත් යුද සමයේ ගෝඨාභය භූමිකාව සුවිශේෂී එකක් යෑයිද හෙතෙම පැවසීය.
රියර් අද්මිරාල් ආනන්ද පිරීස් අදහස් දක්වමින් අතීතයේදී කවුරු ආරක්ෂක ලේකම් වුවද එල්ටිටීඊය පරාජය කළ නොහැකි වුවත් ගෝඨාභය රාපක්ෂ තුළ තිබූ දැක්ම නිසා එය සිදුකළ හැකිවූ බව පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.
නොයෙක් විරසක තිබුණු ත්රිවිධ හමුදා ප්රධානීන් එක මේසයකට රැගෙන ආවේ ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ බව මෙම මාධ්ය හමුවේදී කී මේජර් ජෙනරාල් කමල් ගුණරත්න අද දකුණේ දේශප්රේමියකුව හිරකරන්න ආණ්ඩුව සැරෙසෙද්දී උතුරේ ෙද්රdaහීන් වෙනුවෙන් පහන් දැල්වෙන බවද සඳහන් කළේය.
මෙම මාධ්ය හමුවේදී ඉතා සංවේදී ලෙස අදහස් දැක්වූ ආබාධිත රණවිරුවකු වූ මේජර් ජෙනරාල් රංජිත් සමරතුංග ගොAඨාභය වැනි දේශප්රේමී විරුවකු සිරගත කළහොත් කොන්දේසි විරහිතව එයට එරෙහිව පෙරමුණ ගැනීමට තමන් සුදානම් බව අවධාරණය කළේය. මේජර් ජෙනරාල් කුමාර හේරත් අදහස් දක්වමින් පවසා සිටියේ ලෝකය ගෙන බැලුවද යුද්ධයක් ජයග්රහණය කරා ගෙන ගොස් ඇත්තේ දේශපාලන නායකත්වය යෑයි යන්නය.
දැන් මේ හමුදා ප්රධානීන් කියන අන්දමට ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට ආණ්ඩුව සැරසේන්නේ කුමක් නිසාද? චෝදනාව වී තිබෙන්නේ නාගරික සංවර්ධන අධිකාරියට අයත් මුදලින් සිය පියා වූ ඩී.ඒ. රාජපක්ෂ නමින් කෞතුකාගාරයක් ඉදිකරමින් රජයේ මුදල් අවභාවිත කිරීමය.
ආණ්ඩුවේ බලධරයනි මේ ඩී.ඒ. රාජපක්ෂ කියන්නේ කවුරුන්ද? 1956 විප්ලවයේදී එස්.ඩබ්.අර්.ඩී. බණ්ඩාරනායක මහතා සමඟ එක්වර නැගිට පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ විපක්ෂයේ අසුන් ගනිමින් ශ්රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂය නමින් ජනාතවාදී දේශපාලන ව්යාපාරයක් ආරම්භ කිරීමට ඉදිරිපත් වූ චරිතයය.
එසේම තිස් වසරක් පුරා අප විඳවූ එල්ටිටීඊයේ ත්රස්තවාදය යුදමය වශයෙන් පරාජය කරන්නට අභීතව දේශපාලන නායකත්වයක් දුන් පස්වන විධායක ජනාධිපතිවරයා වූ මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ සහ ඒ සටනේදී ත්රිවිධ හමුදාවට නායකත්වය දී රටට නිදහස ගෙනෙන්නට කැපවූ ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ යන පුතුන් දෙදෙනා මෙලොවට දායාද කළ තාත්තාය.
ඉතින් ඔහු පිදිය යුත්තෙක් නොවන්නේද? එසේ නොන්වන්නේ යෑයි කාට හෝ සිතේ නම් පළමුව කළ යුත්තේ මෙතෙක් රජයේ මුදලින් ගොඩනඟා අදටත් නඩත්තු කරනු ලබන සියලු දේශපාලන නායකයන්ගේ නමින් තිබෙන ස්මාරක හා ඔවුන් වෙනුවෙන් කර ඇති ඉදිකිරීම් කඩා ඉවත් කිරීමය.
එසේම මේ සියල්ල සිදු කළ පුද්ගලයන් හා තමන්ගේ දේශපාලන ව්යාපාරවලදී මේ දක්වා රජයේ මුදල් වැය කළ සියලුම දේශපාලනඥයන් සතේට ගණන් බලා අත්අඩංගුවට ගත යුතුය. තවත් කියන්නට දේ ඇති එහෙත් මේ ගැන වැඩිය කතා කිරීම අපට හරි හිරිකිතය.
මෙසෙ සියල්ල ඇල්ලූ බපසු ගෝඨාව අත්අඩංගුව ගත්තාට කමක් නැත. අප මේ ටික කියන්නේ අද ගෝඨාභය හිරේ හිඳිනු දකින් දොළදුකින් හොටු පෙරාගෙන හඬන මහාචාර්ය, ආචාර්ය ආදී වශයෙන් වූ සියලුම එන්ජීඕ කාක්කන්ටද ඇසෙන්නටය.
