Will the Real Sri Lankan Tamils Stand-up and be Counted?

Devolution, Discrimination be damned!
The Terrorist LTTE is no more. However the Real Troublemakers who are sitting in their high chairs in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia are still going on pumping their bellows.
Its about time, the Tamils who wish to continue being Sri Lankans stand up and tell their Diaspora, “Either Put-up or Shut-up”. The North and the East of Sri Lanka are not Tamil Territory and never have been. Its part and parcel of the Republic of Sri Lanka, and belongs to all Sri Lankans and the guests of Sri Lanka.
Those who feel insecure or unwanted or wish to create another Eelam, are free to look elsewhere.
There is Tamil Nadu, the Real Home of ALL Tamils. Then there is UK, Canada, Australia, France and do not forget the Land of Oil & Gas and Erik Solheim…….Norway. It has a large number of Tamils and the country is very rich, many opportunities for the Dosai cooks. In a decade or so, the Tamils may out number the 4.5 million Norwegians in breeding Tami-egians (Tamil-Norwegians).
This could be the Promised Land of Opportunity to create a Real Eelam with Blond Hair & Blue Eyes into a Blue-Black cocktail. During ten years, a few hundred thousand Tamils could generate a few million Tami-egians, and during thirty years, Norway could be Tamil Eelam. Could be achieved without bloodshed, just Sperm! And enjoy the lovely Norwegian blond women. I have had the pleasure of having pleasure with a few of them and they are great Viking fun!
And those who do not like the silky Norwegian flesh, can try it out with animals, available in animal sex brothels. Never gone that far. But some Tigers might enjoy some animal fun.
There are similar opportunities in England, Canada, France and Australia. The Tamil Diaspora should seriously consider other options without wasting time and money in fermenting more problems for those Tamils who wish to live in peace in Sri Lanka.
The SLG will never allow any form of “weeds” such as Cyperus Rotundus aka Kalanduru to grow in the form of “agitators” or Eelan fighters to creep through. Hopefully, General Sarath Fonseka should consider “Boot Camps” to rehabilitate such criminals into farming and irrigation in the North East.
And I hope those Tamils who wish to start a new life in Sri Lanka do “have the balls” to spell it out to those Tamil Diaspora pundits in foreign lands to stop wanking.
Now its upto the Real Sri Lankan Tamils to Stand-up and be Counted!

Well said Prof. Mclean! There is nothing I can disagree with, in your letter. I am looking for LTTE websites to forward this.

It is extremely disappointing to find anyone write in such undignified manner. It does no one any good and brings little credit to the writer – and a professor at that!

Appreciate your comment Cassandra. Dignity and Politeness went down the drain during 30 years of brutality of Tamil Tiger Terrorism LTTE. As an independent observer, having spent time with the Tamil Diaspora in London, Oslo, the word “Dignity” did not apply. One has to speak the same language so that the target audience comprehends.

I think that Prof. Hudson Mclean was born in Sri Lanka and he has a thorough knowledge about our culture, religions, politics and etc. He always writes well balanced articles with facts and figures to Lankaweb.

Prof Mclean Sir, U have expressed yr honest opinion about the so called Tamil Diaspora, developed in yr mind thru 30 yrs of agony faced by the innocent Sri Lankans.Although some speak about chuavanism etc etc, these idiots do not realise the killings, detruction, hardships undergone by the innocent civilians due to brutalities of LTTE as a result of these murderers supporting the LTTE financialy etc.
What better language does these savage Tamil Diasporah PIARAHS DESERVE OTHER THAN:
“I have had the pleasure of having pleasure with a few of them and they are great Viking fun!
And those who do not like the silky Norwegian flesh, can try it out with animals, available in animal sex brothels. Never gone that far. But some Tigers might enjoy some animal fun.

Well Said Sir!!!

Gentlemen
Let me remind you, when Ceylon was invited by Lee Kwan Yew, the then Prime Minister and Founder of Singapore, to join ASEAN, it was the Ceylonese Tamils who were in Singapore Parliament who objected to Ceylon being an ASEAN Member.
Give me one good reason for this Treason.

A democratic protest against a grievance is a right of every citizen.
After SLFP leadership led by SWRD Bandaranaike took power followed by Madam Sirimavo B, the Christian and Catholic schools were nationalized. A coup d’ etat led by Rear Admiral Ronnie de Mel and his brother Major Maurice de Mel and the rest against Madam Sirimavo B failed, and the perpetrators were tried, prosecuted and jailed by Chief Justice HNG Fernando (they are related by the way), did the Christians take-up arms? NO! They protested with a General Strike which led to a General Election and brought back the UNP back into power, who instrumented an amnesty.
As you well know, the Christians, who are Sinhalese, Tamil, Burghers constitute around 7% of the total population. They took a civilized action in a Democratic way.
The top 5% of the Top socio-economic group of Tamil citizens belong to the upper crust of the Sri Lankan population. The claimed discrimination against the Tamil lower classes and castes do have reason. And the Top 5% must accept most of the blame.
The Tamil Diaspora had one Dream of an Agenda. That is to launch Eelam and flood the Island with a few million of Tamils from Tamil Nadu. I would hasten to add that most of the North Eastern Tamils were brain washed by LTTE to achieve this Dream, which ended up in blood shed.
If as claimed, and I accept with some reservation, there is a core group of Tamil intelligensia. But they took the wrong turn when they jumped in with Velupillai Prabhakaran (VP). At the end of the day, VP did not care much about his son Charles Anthony or his wife or family. VP led a selfish life style more like most of the dictators in Africa and Asia. The way he used his own Tamil people as a human shield, demonstrates his mentality.
Do I need to say more?

Why have you guys DELETED my posts ?

Dear hudmc
The question is not whether the Tamils or VP was right. SL has already taken action and militarily silenced them. What is the next step ?. How do we move forward. Let us talk about that.
Do we want this ugly terrorism again? Defenitely not. How many lives have been lost ? How many mothers of young soldiers who fought and died must be weeping? For what? To fight again some other day and let some other soldiers meet the same fate?
When any community is pushed to despair (i am not saying it is a fault of only the majority community) they react negatively and try to acheive their rights through whatever means is possible. Should we allow this to happen? Look at the situation now. We do not know who among the ones in the camps is an LTTE or who will become one. Simply by keeping 50000 forces on top of this volcano will not solve the issue at all. It will only cost us our dear money. Should we not be spending this money on development?
The urgent need is a policy of healing the wounds as fast as we can. To say “If u want stay in SL or get out” is foolish at this stage. True you are talking about the LTTE but since Govt has confirmed there is no LTTE this statement will cause insecurity with other Tamils.
There is however another option. Wipe out entire Tamil community to get rid of this issue once for all. But then SL will join the pariah states (although china will be pleased to help)

Can we have a list of Tamil grievances at present? Leave out IDP settlement , this will be resolved soon.

Dear Shivling84
Lets us be more specific………Generalising “Tamils per se” is incorrect and should be stopped. Should be more directed at LTTE & VP and the potential agitators who are actually suicide cadres.
SLDF had to take well planned, incredibly well commanded military action and led by the President and his Secretary of Defence, and General Sarath Fonseka.
“Silenced the LTTE” ……..Here again, “silenced” is the wrong definition. “Still waters run deep”! Beneath the current “still water”, there is a possibility of “warm water currents”. The SLDF must be Ready & Alert to a rapid response without any restrictions in the event of any disturbance.
“How do we move forward?” ……Lets talk about that!……….This should receive priority, firstly from the Tamil Diaspora, an indication of direct non-negotiable support to help their own kith & kin. Renounce warfare, terrorism. Hand over KP to justice as a Sign of Good Faith.
Nobody wants the terrorism again! Especially the poor innocent Tamil citizens of Sri Lanka. Get this message to the Tamil Diaspora. These Tamil citizens have been through “sheer hell” under LTTE. Any agitation from the Tamil Diaspora, through the victims of LTTE, will be the Front Line.
Regarding the 50,000 SLDF soldiers …………This should be increased to 250,000 soldiers in order to ensure the safety of the Citizens in the North & North East. Yes, the LTTE leadership is gone but it does not mean that all LTTE sympathisers are gone too. As recent as June 10th, there were incidents perpetrated by such dissidents leftovers. This might continue for another few years and SLDF must be present to address any eventuality with Zero Tolerance.
One might exercise one’s Right of Freedom to “Stay in Sri Lanka or Get Out”. The door is always open for Duplex Communications and Traffic.
Wiping Out The Entire Tamil Community? Such a statement is totally unjustified, morally disgusting, politically distasteful and totally criminal. Sri Lanka government never ever gave any consideration to such an eventuality, although Velupillai Prabhakaran and his LTTE Terrorists were the driving force to annihilate the Sinhala population, as a part and parcel of the LTTE General Agenda.
Political healing should start immediately. However, it takes Two to Tango!
Sri Lanka has been a civilized Democratic State. More like a Bee-hive. Peacefully gathering honey for its own needs to create the next generation. But throw a stone at the hive, then one must expect and accept a return response.

Shivling84 has got a number of his facts all wrong. There was, firstly, no link between the schools takeover and the attempted coup d’etat of 1962. And Rear Admiral Royce de Mel (not Ronnie de Mel – he was a politician!) and his brother Colonel Maurice de Mel, whilst being involved, did not lead it. It was led by Douglas Liyanage, a Civil Servant. Also, the CJ was not related to the de Mels. It is also incorrect to say the Christians protested with a general strike which led to a general election that brought back the UNP who then ‘instrumented an amnesty’. The accused in the coup trial were not granted any amnesty. They were freed when their appeal to the Privy Council was decided in their favour. The example cited is therefore not applicable.
Shivling84 is right, however, when he says “A democratic protest against a grievance is a right of every citizen”. I also agree with his sentiments that “the urgent need is a policy of healing the wounds as fast as we can” and “to say “if u want stay in SL or get out is foolish at this stage”. Indeed, to say that would be foolish at ANY stage. .
