In the past, the sea between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka provided some degree of protection from Tamil Invaders. Even with the sea as a barrier, Tamil war lords invaded Sri Lanka and destroyed our irrigation system and our civilisation. In fact the Sri Lankan kings had to withdraw to the hill country to protect from Tamil invaders. It is shocking that an idiot want to ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ build a bridge to facilitate invasions. It is rather sad that these idiots who promote these bridges do not have the faintest ideas of our history. They ought to ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ read up on Sri Lankan History.. It is fair to say this bridge idea is as foolish as the CFA of RW. Tamil empire builders would be delighted with the bridge idea. Narayanan, who wanted to control Lanka would be delighted.

We would also like India to be strong to protect Asia from imperialists. However,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  they should not become imperialists themselves.

We should develop our infrastructure, without facilitating invaders.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ An idea to investigate is to have an affordable mass transit railway as in Hongkong or a system similar to the Docklands light railway in London. However, the systems should be done in partnership with local engineers so that we can modify, maintain and repair the systems. We should avoid commission taking and bribery and hope that the railway system would be more reliable than the bridges that have failed. Rather sadly, we have idiots and corrupt people in places where decisions are made.

Te main advantage in addition to developing the infrastructure that would be beneficial to the economy, is the employment, training and development opportunities provided to local engineers.
