Former seven LTTE cadres-given employment in Malaysia

A young group of former LTTE cadres surrender to Government who underwent rehabilitation was given employment in Malaysia. This opportunity was jointly organized by Ministry of Justice and Law reforms and Foreign Employment Bureau.

Milinda Moragoda Minister of Justice and Law Reforms, V Puththirasigamoney Deputy Minister and Suhada Gamlath, Secretary were also present at the occasion.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

    It is good news that former LTTEs are getting rehabilitated. We must help them get back to normal life. But I do not know how the Government can monitor their progress, if they are posted overseas. Also, they may be approached by LTTE hardcore, who are still at large internationally and the ‘diaspora’.

    I think the Government needs to be a little more cautious.
