The Minister of Justice and Law Reform Milinda Moragoda, in consultation with the Hon. Asoka de Silva, Chief Justice has appointed a high-powered committee to consider public complaints regarding office administration in the judicial sector.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The policy of the Government is to ensure a unified an inclusive approach to develop and maintain law and order in Sri Lanka in a post conflict era.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Minister of Justice and Law Reforms is accordingly committed to ensure the benefits of laws, rules and regulations to all communities without discrimination.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Justice K.T. Chithrasiri, Judge of the Court of Appeal and Chairman of the Human Resources and Capacity Building Committee set up recently by the Hon. Minister under the aegis of the Chief Justice will head this committee.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ According to the new setup public could send their complaints, in respect of matters connected with office administration such as, Delay in making refunds of Security Deposits, Loss of Case Records and Execution of Writs especially which do not come within the judicial functions of a Judge.
