Two leading parliamentary members of Tamil National Alliance have now publicly confirmed the existence of a secret agreement between TNA and Sarath Fonseka. TNA MP Thangeshwari Kadiraman and MP Sishakthi Ananda have issued a statement confirming that under the agreement, the Tamils will be allowed self-rule by Sarath Fonseka, if elected. This was the main demand of Velupillai Prabhakaran. Sarath Fonseka and Ranil Wickremasinghe have also agreed to re-merge North and East and withdraw Army Camps from Tamil dominant provinces in North and East, virtually laying the foundation for the ultimate division of the country.
Both Sarath Fonseka and Ranil Wickremasinghe have previously denied the existence of such an agreement. In contrast, the President Mahinda Rajapakse has refused to accept these demands when offered to him by TNA leader R Sambanthan, in order to give TNAƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s support for the President. Since winning the War, Sri LankanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s in South travel daily to North and East on week-ends. Sri LankanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s have not visited entire Sri Lanka for many years due to the War. This great opportunity to travel freely in your own country should not have been a luxury but a norm. Sarath Fonseka and Ranil Wickremasinghe, are now attempting to create another country within Sri Lanka, called Eelam. Vast majority of Sri Lankans have totally rejected this concept repeatedly.
It has also been reported that Norway and other anti Sri Lankan European countries are financing Sarath FonsekaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s election campaign to buy votes. These foreign powers hate President Mahinda Rajapakse, because they cannot make President Mahinda Rajapkse to dance to their tunes. The foreign powers have now found a puppet from Ambalangoda, an ideal character to play the game according to their instructions.
During past provisional council elections, Sri Lankans have voted for the ruling party in all provinces, in appreciation of President Mahinda RajapakseƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s contribution to the country. On January 26, they have the opportunity to vote for the President himself, to re-elect him for another 6 years, thus giving 8 years to develop the country. Massive capital and labour intensive projects have been started by this regime, if allowed to continue, Sri Lanka will become the financial hub of south east asia, surpassing Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Sri Lanka is a proud owner of a strong and highly educated man-power. Sri Lanka is also gifted with several natural resources which have not yet been fully exploited to enhance the economic prosperity of Sri Lanka.
The volume of work to be done in areas of economic and social development can only be achieved if the countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s territorial integrity is secured. Those who are trying to divide the nation and create another atmosphere of terrorist struggle will learn their bitter lessons on January 26.
The choice for those who love the country and the choice for those who hate the country are very clear. Those who love Sri Lanka will vote for President Mahinda Rajapakse. Those who hate Sri Lanka will be with Sarath Fonseka.
Long live President Mahinda Rajapakse. Jayawewa.
