I have reliably come to understand that one Mr. Mathagal Guna who is a well known
LTTE activist from Canada residing in the Town ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ New Market, Ontario, is currently
visiting Sri Lanka.

Mr. Mathagal Guna is said to be the person who undertook a hunger strike at
Queen’s Park, Toronto, at the height of the pro-LTTE demonstrations in the city
in the early part of 2009, to condemn the military action taken by the Sri Lankan
authorities against the armed Tamil Tiger terrorists to bring an end to the nearly
three decade long terror campaign including suicide terrorism in the country.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This
hunger strike attracted the attention of Canadian politicians and the media, and
was seen as a desperate move by an individual to draw the attention of the
Canadian public to the LTTE’s cause of defending the rights of the Tamil people.
It now appears that he was bluffing, as he remained on hunger strike for a
considerable period of time without any health consequences, as he was secretly
partaking of food especially at night when the public’s gaze was absent.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

Mr. Mathagal Guna is said to be between 35 – 40 years of age, owning two houses in
the Town of New Market, whereas persons with reasonably good employment are
able to own one home with difficulty.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ He may have been aƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ recipient of the illicit loot
raised by the LTTE for his loyalty to the cause and support.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ He is likely to have some
investments in the Condominium Towers in Colombo 6?

have completed on entry, wherein he is required to give the address of his local
