Important request to Sri Lankan Australians living in WA, in particular to those who are eligible to vote in the forthcoming general election in the electorate of Canning

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ MEDIA RELEASE -SRI LANKA SUPPORT GROUPƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 

  • No matter what your party affinity is, in the forthcoming Australian general election, we urge you to cast your vote for Mr Don Randall of the Liberal Party.
  • Mr Don Randall is unarguably the most ardent friend of Sri Lanka in the Australian federal parliament.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 
  • Mr Randall has expressed his voice loudly and clearly inside and outside the federal parliament in Canberra in regards to preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Sri Lanka. He has openly spoken against the division of Sri Lanka, as some Australians of Sri Lankan Tamil origin have vigorously campaigned for it and continue to do so.
  • Again, please note that Mr Randall has been an unwavering strength to mother Sri Lanka over the years. Often he had been the only voice for Sri Lanka in the federal parliament in Canberra when so many other parliamentarians waged policies favouring Tamil separatist elements that want to divide Sri Lanka, and bring forth discredit and impoverishment to Sri Lanka.
  • Let us say ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Thank youƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ to Mr Randall for all the assistance he has rendered for our mother county, Sri Lanka, so many times in so many ways.
  • As Sri Lankan Australians living in Australia, it is our moral duty to support Mr Randall in this election campaign no matter what our individual political affiliations are.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 
  • In Sri Lanka, we say ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-a friend in need is a friend indeedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Thus, letƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s forget about the party lines and ask the Sri Lankan Australians in the seat of Canning in Western Australia to vote for Mr Randall so that he will be re-elected.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 
  • Furthermore, let us bear in mind that, as Sri Lankan Australians living in Australia, we must do everything we can to garner support for Mr Randall so that he will win.
