Reforms to the Constitution to accelerate development programs – Minister Dallas Alahapperuma

The GovernmentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s first priority will be to add reforms to the Constitution to accelerate development programs as mentioned in the Mahinda Chinthana Idiri Dekma policy program, Youth Affairs and Skills Development Minister Dallas Alahapperuma said while addressing his Ministry Staff yesterday.
The Minister appealed to all political parties to join hands with the Government to achieve expected development targets without considering political differences.
He pointed out that the country’s youth have not been given due place by almost all Governments that came in to power. As a result we had to face three revolts from the South and the North within a period of 30 years.
The Minister further said that it is time for the Youth Affairs Ministry to be designed to look at the youth with a different view as envisaged in the Mahinda Chintana Idiri Dekma. He further stressed thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ today, we have been able to awaken the hopes and expectations of youth.
