ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ COLOMBO, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) — Sri Lanka says China’s “win-win” philosophy which has underpinned China’s relationship with the rest of the world is beneficial not only to China but also to the rest of the world.
The Sri Lankan External Affairs Ministry on Sunday quoted the country’s envoy to the United Nations Palitha Kohona as saying that China’s growing economic power and linkages with the rest of the world have provided an economic bounty, not only to China but to many developing countries.
“The Five Principle of Peaceful Co-Existence and the win-win philosophy which have underpinned China’s relationship with the rest of the world have resulted in tangible benefits to China and many other countries,” Kohona said.
He said that the rapid emergence of China could be an unparalleled opportunity for all.
“At a time when the international order is being buffeted by numerous challenges, these values should help to provide a different sense of clarity,” Kohona said.
China is the leading investor in Sri Lanka and involved in building highways, bridges, a new shipping port and airport as well as a high tech theater.
Last week the Sri Lankan government announced that China is giving a loan of 33 million U.S. dollars to provide electricity to 268 villages in the country’s former war zone.
The money would be used to provide electricity to 268 villages in the Trincomalee and Batticaloa districts in Sri Lanka’s eastern province.

As long as China- Sri Lanka business/investments/joint ventures, etc. work for Sri Lanka, we should not be awayed by west’s outdated rubbish.
Today USA is the worst violator of human rigths, the right to protest and freedom of expression of Americans. It is much worse than Iran or Syria where only violent mobs are attacked by the police. In USA 100% peaceful protesters are attacked and sprayed capsicum spray.
