Twenty four voters supported the resolution against Sri Lanka including the worldƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s most unreliable and untrustworthy Indians.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Those Indians must realise first and foremost that Sri Lanka is faced with the current situation created by Indian made TERRORIST group LTTE.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ When India is wholly and fully responsible in creating the Terrorist outfit and India voting against the country that wiped out the LTTE terrorists what should the world call Indians?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is un-imaginable how mean, cruel and how filthy the Indians are.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Indians will never ever allow Sonia Gandhi to become the Prime minister of India.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is that racists the Indians are.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ India will never allow Sri Lanka to live in peace and harmony with Sri Lankans.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lanka has only one nation.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ That is Sri Lankans.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ But India will never ever allow the Sri Lankans to live as one nation as long as the Indian illegal immigrants live in Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

Class action is in the making. Lorenso is right. $140 million as bribes. UNO is dead. USA together with the west have taken over. Hillary pays back the Good terrorist. Resolution is the result of the coup between Hillary and Jayalalitha the trash of India. Jayalalitha can stand on her head. This is the best time to repeal the 13a/abolish provincial councils altogether.
It is also a perfect time to seek compensation from India for instigating terrorism in Sri Lanka by training terrorists on Indian soil.
It is also a wake up call for all Govt officials not to blindly deal with Indians with re to any agreement Sri Lanka is putting its signature …
If any investigation is to start…it should start with the crimes IPKF did to our people in the North..indiscriminate shooting & raping of Tamil women….so we go back to the root that is INDIA.

Absolutely. It is the most opportune time to scrap 13A and bury 13P in the name of finding a political solution.
It is also a good time as Shenali says to take a policy decision to permanantly put to rest CEPA. However, that too must be done tactfully not to indicate it is reactionary although it will be understood.
War crimes investigations must start from the events since 1505. Changing the ethnic composition of the island with imported South Indians, selective plunder of national resources in Sinhala majority areas (no plunder happened in Tamil majority areas), divide and rule tactics, etc. are the root causes of the war. Those who voted for the resolution will run for cover and regret supporting the resolution! Obviously the Indian involvement should also be investigated.
LTTE should be charged for war crimes and all LTTE remaining leaders and cadres (12,000 of them) must be recaptured and punished for war crimes and sent to a mass prison like in Rwanda. That should teach TNA, NGOs, India and USA a lesson to remember. It is the right thing to do.

You are wrong for the first time ! Philipines supported us. They are the biggest Catholic country. They follow Americans but voted for us. How surprising ? We should be greatful to them too.
I am also surpised the Qatar supported us. They send Army to kill gadaafi. Saudi Supported us too !

Lorenso, Please commun icate with Kit Athul and Anoma Silva.The progress is slow and steady. Lot of hard work has been done so far.SLG, Gormin Dayasiri and wimal Ediriweera have been contacted in SL. Charles is also in SL working on the project.Let us be patient. Let the TNA celebrate. We will get them. What they have done cannot be undone.I am determined to get the basturds(Ausie language).

Yes unfortunately “might is right”, bullshit walks and money talks. Lets get on with the rest of the war. There’s work to do. Next on the agenda should be:
1. Reviewing economic partnership with India. Insist that Sri Lanka also benefits from any agreement with them. Restrict Indian involvement in key sectors of our economy, including in defence. Carefully screen all Indian visitors to the island for hostile intent;
2. Further strengthening defence and economic cooperation with those countries that helped us, including China, Russia and Indonesia;
3. Join with other former colonies to bring reparations action against Britain, Holland and Portugal for plunder, land theft, destruction of cultural and religious monuments, economic exploitation and communal discrimination during their reign on the island. It should be easy to prove that the British had a policy to favour the Jaffna Tamils and Christians in public sector recruitment. So its easy to prove communal discrimination. I believe there is a movement for reparations against the British by other former colonies. We should look into that;
4. Legal action against Indian politicians, especially those of the Congress Party, DMK, AIADMK and PMK, for aiding and abetting the LTTE on their soil, mass murder, assassination, economic destruction and for continuing to allow racist and fascist parties in Tamil Nadu to plan and carry out acts hostile to us.
5. War crimes charges against former LTTE leaders in the West, particularly Adele Balasingham and Rudrakumaran.
6. Class action against the TNA.
7. A media and educational campaign to all our communities about the evils of communalism and how communalism and communal politics harms them. Attack the TNA directly by educating their constituents.
8. India is a big and complex country and you cant generalise about their attitudes. Put out feelers to disenchanted groups within India who are sick and tired of the elitist, anglicised parasites that have run the country since Independence and wont even give the majority of their people basic rights like health, education, shelter and toilets. Consider allowing them to set up base in Sri Lanka to fight for human rights in India. Ignore the Indian central government more and more. Deal directly with more sympathetic groups in South India.
9. Look into bringing war crimes charges against politicians in the West that were lobbied by the LTTE and allowed them to raise funds for terrorism in Sri Lanka, British Labor Party politicians like Keith Vaz and Sharma, Canadians, Rhiannon Lee of Australia, Solheim, etc.
10. War crimes charges against remaining LTTE operatives in the West, particularly people like Adele Balasingham, Father Emmanuel, Rudrakumaran etc.
11. Blitz in western media to counteract false propoganda of Channel 4 etc.
12. More aggressive lobbying of sympathetic politicians in the West.
We have to be aggressive in our defence. Bring it on.

With the two third majority in the parliament and the backing of the citizens from all races the Govt should not look behind but to act with the same guts they had during the last days of war. We didnt just won a war but by sacrificing thousands of our young patriot sons and daughters of Motherlanka. India should be ashmed for voting against our innocent country after doing all that carnage and mayhem to my beloved Motherland during thirty years of terrorism. Those who created the monsters were gunned down like dogs one by a sheik and another by their own make L.T.T.E. They deserve that for their cruelty. We cannot forgive India at all for what they did to us NEVER in my mind.
Now the Govt must act wisely and unitedly without critizicing each other. They should work as a team. Get rid of all corrupt useless ministers and junior Ministers and have a good wise, gentle, educated group who can talk,argue and find solutions to our problems facing our nation. We have to send our emisaries to all our friendly nations to educate and show them vedeos and films about L.T.T.E human rights violations during thirty years of terrorism. Do not forget we will have more of this kind of harassment from the evil group therefore we must be ready with all our resourcers to fight back. Let’s get together and fight for our land of birth. Sinhala nation wont bow down to anty threats.We will stand together with our lion flag in our hands. Long live SRI LANKA.

Given the current environment, SL needs a well thought and articulated plan to stand herself as one nation. I can agree with what you all pointing out. However, our image has now been tarnished and continue to be tarnished in the hands of western and indian agents and their local counterparts. Look at how they refers to SL, it includes, uncivilised, barberic, sinhalese dominated government. As Ranjit very correctly pointed out, we need to have cuase of action to safeguard SL image and build cordial diplomatic relations. The appearance has a lot to do than the reality. Look at what happens to theUSA war criminal. They put into their justice system and pardened through the judges or attributing as truama. That’s international show off and they protect their citizons. I think we also needs to go along these line. SL being a small country, we can not confront with large countries and no other country will come to save us. We need to safeguard our interest from within and use diplomacy rather than agitation.
I think this should inclued:
Eradication of waste, corruption and drug maphia
Establishment of law and order for all (not just for those who have money and power)
Do away with provincial council white elephant and introduce appropriate admin devolution (not police, land or finace) to district or divisional secretariate level – going beyond 13A.
Start inestigation of HR violation from the start of terrorism ( from 1505 if possible and make them recorded in Int’l media)
Introduce transparency and accountability for all INGO/NGO/Polical parties through compulsory registration and submission of acounts and annual report in terms of IFRS.
Prohibit use of name for political parties that promote certain section/religion/race that creates disharmany among the communities.
Restrict direct project by international agencies anywhere in SL and approval should not be given if it creates tesion or division among the communities.
Allocation of infrastructure resources should be same for all areas of SL – India provides only for north and east. What about the poor people in other areas and they should not be neglected.
Introduce electoral system that consists of first past the post and proportional represation to absorb diversity and technical experties to the law making.
Conduct free and fair elections and make compulsory to disclose the expenses by each political party and source of funding together with a restriction on cap of expenditure.
