Sarath Fonseka and his wish for a Tamil President

It has been reported that the former army commander Sarath Fonseka in an interview with a Tamil Nadu newspaper has said that he wished to see a Tamil president in Sri Lanka similar to a black president as Obama in America.
One cannot believe every news item and especially this one when the facts are as follows:
No black American has ever asked for or advocated a separate state for blacks even if the federal government was not going to instantly lock them up for 99 years at least. Also Obama’s election as President has not brought any danger to America or diminished the sovereignty of America an iota.
The facts in Sri Lanka are different. The Sinhalese have never thought of themselves as separate from the Tamils. Living proof of that is the majority of the Tamils are living among the Sinhalese and the Sinhalese patronise their businesses. It is only during the last three years when the TNA has been conducting hate campaigns against the Sinhalese both in and outside parliament that the Sinhalese are now beginning to think differently. SF should be aware of all this. He should see the tone and the threats that Sampanthan is issuing in parliament. If SF says as has been said that he has said that theTamils have rights in the sense they have been denied these rights then it would be best that they be enumerated so that we can see in what way they have been denied their rights. One word of devolution, just one word of devolution, repeat just one word of devolution is not going to go down well with the Sinhalese if SF has any ideas of changing the system of government in the future. No Sinhalese will be interested in him if he says that. I wish Karu Jayasuriya who is on this email list will convey that to him. I wish SF all success apart from the fact that I was born at Ambalangoda and went to the same school Dharmasoka as he did but I am senior to him.
Also SF should realise that it is he who saved the Tamils from the terrorists. Tamils can now send their children to school and be sure that they will return but at the last local elections they voted for the TNA. That is Tamil gratitude for SF to see. This is also food for thought for SF.

Gonzeka doesn’t realise Obama is NOT a Kenyan! He is a WHITE racist American worse than Bush.
Anyway it took 232 years (2008 – 1776) for Independent USA to have black president. Same thing should apply in SL which means SL can have a Sinhala thinking Tamil president in 2180 (1945 + 232). No need to rush like fools where angels dire to tread.

There was a very good chance for late Hon. Minister Kadirgamar and/or Hon. Minister Fernandopulle to become the Prime Minister in Sri Lanka. They both were assasinated by the Tamil Tigers. Both of them were not narrow racial minded.

I think Sinhalese are still considering late Hon. Minister Kadirgamar and/or Hon. Minister Fernandopulle were very good politicians and had good regards. But due to TNA present attitude if Sinhalese people have to think differently its the biggest mistake TNA could have done to Tamils. Therefore blame should bare by TNA not by Sinhalese.

President Rajapakse has never told any patriotic comment or had done anything during his entire political life except defeating the LTTE which he had no choice.
On the other hand, General Fonseka has shown so many times without any doubt that he is a Sinhala – buddhist and he loves Sri Lanka. This what he has said it just politics.
Sri Lankan gov has taken General Fonseka’s CIVIC RIGHTS with COOKED UP CHARGES. Because of that, it is very fair that General Fonseka is making this kind of comments.
Look what President Rajapakse has done to Sri Lanka. Listento SLBC. It is like Tamilnadu cum Saudi Arabia. Sri Lankan Buddhist population has gone down. what he has done ? – NOTHING.

Sri Lankans can think of having a Tamil President when Tamil Nadu CASTE/POVERTY ISSUES are no more. Till then, don’t even think of it. Any Tamil Prez here will be forced to say ‘open sesame’ to Millions of Tamil poor who want to flee Tamil Nadu.
S’pore is too far away from Tamil Nadu and has strong Laws in place to protect the people there. They can afford to experiment with a Tamil Prez.
There is a Chinese saying : ‘do not open mouth when dangerous flying insects are close by’ !

Do not lament or worry about Sinhala/Buddhists. Let us protect the entire Nation with strong Laws to stop Separatism, i.e. death penalty for Separatism, not death penalty > life sentence > bail out. The Law must be separate from Religion.
Sinhala Buddhists who are mainly in the rural areas must be given a good education and learn business entrepreneurship. They ought to mainly have a Sc&Tech education, at least up to O-level, which is better than a Uni degree in the Arts. Also,
Buddhist monks & nuns ought to learn Sc&Tech too, and put their knowledge to good use. Temple lands must be made productive with good organic crops grown by the villagers from the surrounds.

Do you not see he wants to be the Puppet President played by USA ?
Now he wants to create uprising to topple the Maharaja regime. He wants to be Maha Jara.
He is not a Buddhist. ( by birth only – never learned Dhamma never went to his temple , temple cheif monk said openly).
Assume MR if the most corrupt president in history. Yet he protected Ponnaseka and gave him everything, handleled international murderes well to defeat LTTE and now you can travel in Srilanka without fear of life.

Tamil president in Sri Lanka !
We Sri lankan will never achive this (a minority person become head of our nation ) !
in Our histrory first & last time Hon Appapillai Amirthalingam (TULF – A minority) become oppotion leder but in next election our contitution has been changed to avoid this situation in future !
FYI Mr Amirthalingam said once :
1) VP is good fighter but he has not got anythink in his head ( Thambikku nalla sandapiddikka therium Annal mell vidda ( upstairs ) ondum illai !
2) Sinhalese do not know how to live together with Tamils or divite to live with Tamil !( Chinhalavanukku serthu valavum theriyathu & pirrinthu valavu periyathu )
Unit in diversity is long term permant solution !!! No short cut !!!

Why need a Tamil President ?
What we need is a proper President. We don’t have any.
EVEn Sakkili does not matter , we need a proper president.
A Tamil President can be a proper president if you can find a proper Tamil who is willing to be the President without siding with his tamil race. That will never happen.
Therefore I agree with my brother –ndeLingam. Prblem lies with the four letters not starting with F but T.

Gonzeka can have his dream if he changes his name from Ponseka to Ponnambalam and manages to fool some to vote for him!!!
