   අපවත් වී වදාල සෝභිත හිමියන් පිළිබඳව ආචාර්ය නලින් සිල්වාගේ දැක්ම ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම අගය කරමි. එහි 6 වන චේදයේ සඳහන් වන ‘මෙහි දී අපට පල්ලි නිකාය හා පස්ගව මහණුන් සිහිවෙයි’ යන ප්‍රකාශයේ ‘පස්වග මහනුන්’ යන්න වෙනුවට ‘පස්ගව මහනුන් ‘ යනුවෙන් සඳහන් වීම මුද්‍රණ දෝෂයක්ද එසේත් නැතිනම් හිතා මතාම සඳහන් කල එකක්ද යන්න දැන ගැනීමට කැමැත්තෙමි.

   No doubt about ven. Sobitha ‘ s wrong views. Buddhist clergy should not involve themselves in politics. especially modern politics where so many evil powers are pulling strings from behind the curtain.

   One hundred percent agree with Prof Nalin.

   In the eighties he came into the limelight as a political speaker. I remember very well his role at the Janatha Raliya in early eighties against the arch traitor J R Jayawardene. As the good Prof said – he did not have a clear cut vision on anything other than his developing ego. In those days he was a fill-in speaker who kept patriotic crowds spell bound for hours till the main speakers came on stage. He allegiances were rather dubious at all times.

   In the end he became another victim of the Catholic Church, just like Mahinda Rajapakse. He joins millions of other victims of the Catholic Church. He was roped into betray his religion and race by the late Catholic Jayalath Jayawardana and I guess Ravi Karunanayagam. To a certain extent I believe that he was blackmailed to do what he did in the end – handing over Sri Lanka to a Catholic Administration. By the time he realised his treachery and how he was fooled the foul deed has been done. Once in power the Yahapalana Traitors simply neglected hims as if he did not exist. He simply became a bunch of Karapincha. This bunch of Karapincha will be cremated tomorrow with Catholic Administration’s blessings. Karapincha has done its duty and no longer of any value!

   He was a great voice for Buddhism and Sinhala rights in the past albeit what he did was give blood curdling speeches according to what was put in front of him. If one looks at his past – it is easy to discern that he was always confused as to his proper vocation. His ego took him to realms unknown and he got mired in a quagmire of blackmail, lies and deceptions.

   May his ‘soul’ rest in peace and for any good he did in the long distant past May he attain Nibbana – after he has expired his sins against his motherland!

   May he attain Nibbana at his earliest & as Buddhists we should pay our respect to Maha Sangha (whatever your personal beliefs) .
   Prof Nalin, as one of the very few true patriots, should try to form a true effective patriotic force as we do not know for sure now, who are our real heroes at present. Many are in lamb clothes. We all supported MR but does he have a future ? Who should we bring together in these challenging times, you probably have the best answer. Gota,Wimal,Gammanpila,Ven Meddhananda,or Ven Ratna,just to name a few. I would rather like to read your thoughts on such future steps & measures which will be very valuable to the nation.

   – What a hateful statement !

   This statement is against Buddhism to the extreme.

   Buddhist do not go and kill Catholics , Muslims or Tamils to save Buddhism.
   Buddhist do not lie against Catholics , Muslims or Tamils to save Buddhism.
   Buddhist do not steal Catholics and Muslims properties to save Buddhism.

   There was an abattoir next door to Jetavanaramaya when Buddha live there.

   SLs are LEADERLESS today. The sooner we accept it the better. MR is no leader anymore. He CANNOT organize people into a force. He is torn between THIRUPATHY and the VATICAN. NEVER heard him make a good speech in parliament. He gives TNA Sambanthan, Anura Kumara and Run-nil crowd a FREE RUN.

   Only WIMAL and UDAYA shout against the govt. and suffer FCID grilling. Even their wives are unsafe. People say MR and family have come to a DEAL with the UNP govt. It no longer drags MR family members to the FCID, CID, Thajudeen, etc. In return they KEEP QUIET against UNP govt’s horrible crimes. UNP rabies dogs have bitten MR.

   I salute Prof Nalin for his bold stand to open up, risking serious criticism.

   It is the quality of a true patriot. Every thing is second to one’s own Motherland. He is a true son of Mother Lanka.

   After Sobitha Hamuduruwo’s death, I can see a dark cloud gathering over our little Island nation and it is becoming more dangerous day by day… All the evil forces are rushing for something sinister soon. They made him silence and more losses can be expected.

   All the true sons of Mother Lanka who are in the forefront should be very mindful of their movements and their own security and protection.

   Especially with hard core LieTTE members in the loose now, following Yama Palanaya released them, WW, Udaya, Gota, MR, Dinesh, Prof Nalin etc should take extra measures. Similarly the strong second tear leaders like Govindu Kumarathunga etc should take extra care. LieTTE snipers may be in action… Nato and Raw can train more snipers out of these un-rehabilitated hard core terrorists.

   This the answer to the question why Lorenzo said “But NO RATANA. A vicious anti-MR person driven by hate”.

   This was the reaction by Sobhitha Thero to closing of sluice gates by Lorenzo.

   Q. Ven. Thero , what do you think of the current situation in the country ?
   A: Yes, now we can see an uncertainty in everything and everywhere. We cannot fathom as to what would happen in the next minute. The government was pushed to this type of a situation even if the government doesn’t like it. Because all our leaders including President J. R. Jaye-wardene, President Premadasa, President Kumaratunga and Premier Ranil Wickremesinghe tried hard to solve this matter amicably with the LTTE.
   All of them put in their maximum effort honestly. They did a lot of sacrifices. Those people also used the maximum international influence to solve this matter. But LTTE never wanted to solve this problem amicably. Instead they grew day by day and became a deadly terrorist organisation. LTTE never stood for peace. They even killed all the people who demanded them to accept peace such as Rajiv Gandhi, Kethesh Loganathan, Neelan Thiruchelvam, Lakshman Kadirgamar etc.
   Through these incidents the LTTE has clearly shown their dislike for peace. Killing of Loganathan is a message sent by the LTTE in protest of peace. So this developed day by day and this war became very brutal day by day. Small children were killed, monks were killed and large masses of people were killed such as in the Kebithigollewa incident. And the closing down of Mawilaru anicut is the culmination of the LTTE’s brutality.
   As a nation we never withhold water to anyone, even to the enemy. Here the LTTE stopped giving water not to its enemy but to innocent farmers. Given this kind of a situation how could a responsible government just wait and act blind? The duty of a government is to protect its people. Therefore the government had to fight. But LTTE purposely dragged the government in to this. The government has clearly stated that they are for peace and they still stand by that.
   It is the LTTE that always denounces peace. Going for a war is a very dangerous thing. It wastes valuable human lives and assets. But to give water to these 15,000 farmers government had to fight and defeat the LTTE. With the defeat of Mawilaru the LTTE has now gone berserk. Now they are attacking everywhere they could including Jaffna.
   So the government can’t stay without fighting when they are being attacked and they fight back. The President has clearly indicated that he always wants peace and this is only a retaliation for the LTTE attacks. However all these incidents have finally created an intense war situation in the country.
   Lots of small children had been killed. The LTTE still rejects that the school in Pudukkudiyiruppu is a military training centre. But it is actually a military training centre. Most of the LTTErs who died recently were female child soldiers.
   That shows a lot of forced child conscription is going on. When someone attacks you with arms you have to fire back, even though she is a child, because she still is a soldier of the enemy.
   The LTTE still has the opportunity to go for a negotiated settlement. The government also should keep in mind that the consensus of the UNP is essential in bringing in a permanent solution to this problem.

    රට යන විදියට සෝභිත තෙරට යන්න සිද්ධ වුනා. ඒ අතර එයාට පුළුවන් විදියට රටට සේවයක් කළා. අඩුපාඩු තිබුනා ඇත්ත. ලංකා දේශපාලනයේ කාටද දැක්මක් තියෙන්නේ. මුළු රටම හොරා කෑ රාජපක්සලට දැක්මක් තිබුනද? රාජපක්සලා යුද්ධෙන් පස්සේ දෙමල බෙදුම්වාදයට උදවු දුන්නේ නැද්ද?

    රට යන විදියට සෝභිත හාමුදුරුවන්ට යන්ට සිද්ද වුණා නොව, අද රට යන විදිය සකස් කරන්න සෝභිත හාමුදුරුවෝ දායක වුණා. නමුත් ඒක එහෙම සිද්ධ වුණේ සෝභිත හාමුදුරුවෝ හිතා මතාම මේ රට දෙකඩ කරන්න බලාගෙන නොවෙයි උන්වහන්සේ අද බලයේ සිටින නායකයන් කිවුව බොරුවලට රැවටිච්ච නිසා. ඒක තේරුම් යනකොට උන්වහන්සේ හොඳටම පරක්කු වැඩියි. ඒක තමයි උන් වහන්සේට කියන්න සිද්ද වුණේ ‘ අපිට වැරදුනා මත්තයෝ’ කියලා.

    I agree with the writer and also with lot of comments given.

    Lorenzo is saying that Mahinda does not give even a good speech in parliament. I agree, not only Mahinda, even the rest of the SLFPers who are with him in the opposition. I thought the reason why they don’t talk against the Joint or the combined government is if they do, the traitor pambaya could take action against and sack them from their parliamentary seats. If that happens more frogs will get into parliament to support Ranil.

    Other SLFPers are not worth talking about. Just crap. But a MP cannot be sacked from parliament that easily. NO ONE has been sacked that way so far for a long period of time while being a MP. Keeping quiet is NOT going to save MR and others. People will DROP them. That is WORSE. Then the UNP will come down on them like animals.

    A hero who keeps quiet fearing the bloody govt. is also a frog. He or she has jumped from hero to zero.

    The real trouble Sri Lanka has is we have too many of the Sampath (above)kind. Who still mutters the hora mantras without revealing any such acts. When did MR support seperatism?he did the best he could to defeat it. I remember very well,just before the Jan 8th elections Wimal had discussion with Sobhitha thero where he asked questions regarding the lies and false promises of the unholy alliance and Sobhitha thero had no answers. He simply stuck to Sissons instructions!

    Unlike your darling USA who holds terrorist suspects for over a decade-and who were later proven to be innocent- MR’s government took steps to free those LTTErs who were rehabilitated, were given worthwhile training to build a better life for themselves and who simply wanted to return to their families.

    The hardcore ones were not released. THESE are the ones they are releasing now! There is a significant difference which you either fail to notice, or are ignoring.

    And yes, you are right, maybe with what is going on now those non-hardcore people may be forced to take up arms again-very probably by the hardcore thugs being released now. Quite possibly not through brain washing, but through force, threats and violence.

    But nevertheless, blaming MR for causing the calamity that is about to hit our country-due to those hard core terrorists being released at the present, is way off base!

    Do you think they were REHABILITATED? No way. They go back to TNA INFESTED TNA Vigneswaran controlled north. Army had to arrest and rearrest them. Now they are into terrorism again according to news from the north.

    Lets leave politics aside. MR releasing those 10,000 TERRORISTS is wrong. Not punishing KP was also WRONG.

    These terrorists are WORSE than hard core terrorists DURING PEACE TIME because these ones are MAKKAL PADAI who can mingle with people very well and carry out terrorist attacks.

    I don’t care about politics when it comes to security. I look for WHAT IS RIGHT/WRONG not who is right/wrong.
