Is Samantha Power in Sri Lanka to Resurrect Tamil Terrorists?

Absence of war in Sri Lanka has been a big problem for USA which had major plans for Tamil Tigers (LTTE) particularly for its sea wing – Sea Tigers. LTTE was one of few non-Islamic terrorist groups which made it extremely valuable for USA, much more valuable than Free Syria Army (also known as ISIS and ISIL) and Mujahidin (also known as Al Qaeda and Taliban) terrorists. Having engineered a regime change operation, the top US official will be in Sri Lanka to finance the writing of Tamil racist and separatist manuscripts against established history, push for dismemberment of the island nation, look for avenues to create a US base in Sri Lanka’s north which can replace Diego Garcia and release terrorists to reignite war. Some US presidential candidates received money from pro-LTTE groups in the lead up to the presidential campaign in 2008.
Useful Terrorists
It is a well established fact USA financed Mujahidin (also known as Al Qaeda and Taliban) terrorists to disrupt Soviet operations in Afghanistan. Today USA is financing and arming the Free Syria Army (also known as ISIS and ISIL) to disrupt Syria and Russia. US hand in financing China’s Uyghur terrorists and Russia’s Chechnyan terrorists is well known.
When active, Sea Tigers attacked a Chinese vessel killing all on board (2003), hijacked ships of other countries, disrupted shipping (over 80% of Chinese sea freight passes through the Indian Ocean) and had the potential to disrupt Chinese shipping investments in Sri Lanka. Mysteriously Sea Tigers never attacked any of NATO countries and their shipping interests. They also spared Indian ships.
If Tamil Tigers were not exterminated, USA could have used it to disrupt Chinese shipping as it now tries very hard in South China Sea and elsewhere in its ‘China Containment’ strategy. Another attempt was the ‘String of Pearls’ nonsense which the US state department created for the gullible in early 2005. USA hoped its fear mongering on India would get India to counter China in the Indian Ocean. That too failed. That is why USA is very keen to destabilise Sri Lanka.
False Love
USA shared intelligence reports with Sri Lanka in 2007 to enable the Sri Lankan navy to destroy LTTE’s floating weapons warehouses. In 2003, USA sold an outdated coastguard ship to Sri Lanka. In 2008, USA donated small fast attack crafts to Sri Lanka navy’s Special Boat Squadron and Rapid Action Boat Squadron. Although these helped Sri Lanka rout Sea Tigers, the real reason for these false acts of kindness was to pre-empt China, India and Russia. Had USA not done so, Sri Lanka would have turned to China. LTTE floating warehouses were in the vicinity of US Diego Garcia base since at least 1998 (when the LTTE attacked a Sri Lanka bound Zimbabwe ship in the high seas). However, USA never thought it was useful to inform Sri Lanka for at least 9 years until 2007 when Sri Lanka was about to get Chinese weapons to destroy LTTE ships.
In 2003 Sri Lanka navy leased 2 Russian warships from India. To prevent further Russian weapons incursions into the island (which would provide inter-operability to Russians), USA sold an old coastguard ship.
Tamil Eelam and a Replacement for Diego Garcia
Helping Tamils form their own nation within Sri Lanka achieves multiple US objectives. One of them is to re-base the US Diego Garcia base which was established through the genocide of Chagos people. The lease on the island expires next year (2016). Although it is likely renewed by Britain that occupies the island, the day is not far away when USA will have to leave the low lying islands either due to rising sea levels, public protests, rivals copying US action of occupation of islands or economic reasons from operating from a far away base. The action is close to the Asian continent, not 2,000km away from land. Billions can be saved and faster deployment also helps. It is also consistent with USA’s pivot to Asia strategy. Therefore, USA is actively looking for an alternative. There is only one alternative to Diego Garcia – Sri Lanka. However, due to India, Chinese, Russian and local pressure, USA is unable to have a base in Sri Lanka. To overcome this, USA may plan to incite Tamil separatism, get an autonomous region created in the north (and the east), re-base its military base in the north – either close to Trincomalee or Jaffna. Given the indebtedness to USA and continuing fear of Indian and Sri Lankan retaliation, the new Tamil administration will have to allow USA. Demilitarisation of the north and east at the behest of US demands was done to remove any resistance to this hegemonic move.
Conclusion
There is little Sri Lankan government can do to stop the US plan. However, other Asian nations particularly India and China will not tolerate militarisation of Sri Lanka by Tamil terrorists and US hegemonic armies turning the north and east of the island into a battle zone. USA is a waning empire on its last legs, but refusing to go down without a fight. Sri Lanka is once again entrapped into Cold War and Proxy War geopolitics which will produce a different winner to that of the last Cold War. Last time Tamils were made Indian pawns in its Cold War game which caused immense destruction to the Tamil community. Unfortunately, for Tamils, the lesson was not learnt. Becoming US pawns in the new proxy war will not bring them any good. Afghans, Iraqis, Libyans and Syrians are living examples of US’s use-and-dump policy. Even Sri Lanka was left high and dry in 1987 to face Indian aggression despite aligning with USA.

For sure. Advising Tamils is a FUTILE exercise. Tamils were always used as CAT’S PAW by the Portuguese, Dutch, British, Endians, Russians, Americans, etc.

If we leave it like this:
• Ealam will be established soon with the blessing of the UN.
• They will have a strong military with the 12,000 ex LieTTE cadres and the recently released thugs / killers.
• Run-Nil and the gang will get refuge in America for their retirement. He will live like a Sudda according to his dream
• Maru Sira will blame Run-nil and get the sympathy of public and retire like DB Wijethunga.
• Finally South will be in a miserable state. There will be bombs going off to create fear psycho in the nation.
• No one will join the Army and other security forces.
• Jihadees will take the advantage and wage their war for better positions for muslims
• Wilpattu will be a Islamic colony. Yala will be a Islamic colony. They will get aids from the Middle East and well plan and develop these empty lands to fully fledged, planned Islamic cities managed by Shariya Law.
• Tamils will suffer with US army and LieTTE suppression.
• Sinhalas will suffer more and perish in the South.
• Ealam boundaries will extend more towards South. 50% Tamilnadu people will cross the bridge and come and settle in the new Ealam.
• There won’t be any Diyasena Kumaraya coming forward to liberate us considering the mighty US presence in the Eaalam.
• We would have only left with Indian Ocean to jump into..
If we want to change this future happening, we have to act now. MR should take the lead and reveal the dangers ahead to the people. WW and many others are already doing it… but majority of the people think that he is just crying for nothing. They cannot envision the future. But if MR or GR comes up and talks, people will give some credit and trust them.
This is a dangerous situation…..

We can cut short all the Separatist threats going in the present times by removing the Tamil language as an Official/National language in Lanka. In Lanka, it is Separatism through LANGUAGE, as in the Indian sub-states. Tamils of TN (especially Tamil Dalits numbering some 15 Million), think of Lanka as an extension of Tamil Nadu mainly because the Tamil Language is in place in Lanka.
Even Tamils of Lanka would be safer if the Tamil language is no longer an Official/National language.
Lanka has enough Labor for plantations etc. Tea plucking machines can do tea plucking even in hilly areas by use of the smaller machines. One machine replaces 4 workers. No need of illegal migrants who have to do back breaking work.
Are the vast numbers in Lanka (whichever ethnicity) who want a fair future, safe and secure, in charge of Lanka’s destiny or not ? Seize the moment and act or regret forever !

Belgium has created more terrorists than any other European country in the recent past. Even the recent attacks on Paris were planned by terrorists residing in Belgium. This was discussed recently in various newspapers. The reason is two official languages – Dutch and French. Coupled with it is autonomous states – northern ones follow Dutch while southern ones follow French.
Due to these, there is no real cooperation between law enforcement authorities in Dutch and French areas. Although English is used to link them, it is not very useful. Mistrust and division have come between them. This is the perfect vacuum terrorists can exploit and they have.
Can you see Sri Lanka moving in the same direction?
Tamil must be removed from the official language list. It was illegally imposed in 1987 via the Indian imposed 13A just for the purpose of giving terrorists a fighting chance.

Hiranthe, very elaborate list close to reality. Your argument about trust gap of Wimal is correct. However, there is another issue – ability to work without fear or favour. Although Mahinda and Gotabhaya have trust, they lack the ability to work without fear or favour. The war crimes charge hoovering over them has tied their hands. It will never leave them.
There is no leader with trust and the ability to work without fear or favour. That is a real tragedy. Such leaders must be produced by a political party.

Sri Lanka govt and ALL concerned citizens MUST demand that the unjust War Crimes charges be permanently removed. Is there any other way this country can move forward with transparency, fair play, feelings of security and some prosperity for all ? No.
ALL people of Lanka who benefitted from the removal of Terrorism must join in to remove the War Crimes charges. Or else they are NOT patriots.
Let us start a Petition to the UN and other related bodies and cover the entire island.
We will then know who the Patriots are and who are not.

Next crop of attackers will not be named Tamil Tigers. The attack may take ten or twenty years to come. But it will come. Thank you USA. They could be called Tamil Nation, Tamil State or something or other with “Tamil” in it. They will come. At this moment, they are drawing up the plans.
We may see a fast and furious attack in style of Islamic State. Sinhala people, naturally been trusting and lazy will fail to react in time. In a way, Syrians are lucky, Russia will stand by them. But Sri Lanka has become friendless now. Russia and China and other Asian nations will not come to our aid again. They all have seen how ungrateful we are. I agree that MR & GR are the most trusted leaders today. They are both war time leaders and have to carry that load.
We suggest a group of 5-8 able, trusted, time tested, loyal to Lanka people to guide the Nation, sans politics.

From as far back as 1998 the West has been working through the quislings RW and CBK to break up Sri Lanka into two or three parts. These are people whose loyalty is to outside power blocs. They have no loyalty to Sri Lanka.
Even the Norwegians who came as mediators were trying their best to back and use the LTTE. It an absolute miracle that with all the support the LTTE and Tamils had Sri Lankans were able to defeat them. Each time Solheim came to Sri Lanka he would rush to Jaffna to have his crab curry and other entertainments and there is a picture of him receiving a gold pendent as a gift from Prabahakaran. Even Cameron who came to Sri Lanka broke protocol and went to meet TNA of which LTTE was a proxy. Here again there is a picture of him receiving GBP 400,000 from the Tamil diaspora who were backing the LTTE. Now it is the turn of Samantha Power who plays ‘elle’ and tries her best to be sympathetic to the TNA. Wonder what the end game is ? Wigneswaran after making baseless statements about Genocide of Tamils was complaining to her how the present Govt has not kept the promises. So it goes on…..
None of these Western leaders have gone to the South or talked to Sinhala leaders about what the LTTE did to them. The LTTE committed Genocide on Sinhalese and Muslims yet UNHCR is silent on these issues. How about the relocation of the Sinhalese and Muslims chased out of North and East ? The West does not realize that we Sinhalese are the minority in a sea of some 70 Million Tamils 12 miles away. Fact 1: is that they have a homeland only 12 miles away. Fact 2 : that the Sinhalese have nowhere else to go. The strongest countries in the World today have become the most rapaciously greedy. They should be the kindest and lend a helping hand to all the struggling nations. Instead of which the new world order appears to envisage broken and servile countries at the feet of the overlords. Every action taken by the powerful countries to take crushed submission and advantage of poor countries have so far backfired on them.
By attacking Iraq unjustly they have unleashed a monster they cannot control in the form of terror organisations. Einstein said that if you keep repeating the same action and you get the same result it is a sign of insanity to keep doing it. No one seems to have learnt any lessons from actions taken in the past. The attitude seems to be if you keep bombing hard enough the problem will go away !!!
The fact that each time they do it the problems get worse does not seem to have penetrated their thick skulls. With all this bombing going on is anyone keeping count on the innocents who are being killed? There is a complete news blackout so no one knows what is happening. Will any of the perpetrators of unjust wars and killings be held accountable? We are still to see the Chilcott report on Tony Blair and on the US side there is a deafening silence on war crimes. Only poor countries like Sri Lanka are held accountable for manufactured war crimes.

A Petition is important in that it will show how the People think. It does not matter what the UN thinks or does. What matters is what the People of Lanka think and feel. If anyone refuses to sign, then they will be counted as Refusals. It is an exercise in Patriotism for Lankans. Patriotism has fallen between the cracks for easy money, favors, and party loyalties. It is an artificially created situation. Party politics have ruined Lanka.
We have to find solutions to Lanka problems after knowing the results of a Petition re the War Crimes charge.

Re PATRIOTISM in Lanka :
Sri Lanka’s biggest problem is proximity to Tamil Nadu with their own ancient Caste/more recentlySeparatism from India problems AND ILLEGAL MIGRANTS INTO LANKA. None of the Lankan leaders have dealt effectively with that problem yet. Tamil leaders of today PRETEND to solve the Tamil Caste problems plus Cold War (imaginary ?) problems via Separatism in Sri Lanka. Lanka leaders have exacerbated the problem by installing the Tamil Language as a National language. The illegal 13-A further added in by making the Tamil Language an Official language. Which leader has addressed this problem which is what attracts illegal Tamil Dalit migrants who wish to lose Caste, into Lanka ? I propose that Tamils of Lanka have been led astray and are confused into Separatism by Tamil leaders, Cold War politics, and various laws in place in Lanka etc.
We have to ask ourselves how it is that Europeans, Japanese, Chinese, etc. are so PATRIOTIC to their countries. We must bring about the same attitudes in Lanka.
We wonder how a War Crimes charge against the Armed Forces of those countries will be dealt with by their leaders and their citizens ?

So the PURPOSE is to convince the UN.
Then you say.

Then why the petition?
Anyway please go ahead with the petition if you will. I will sign it. Mark my word not even 2,000 out of 21,000,000 will sign that petition. That will show 20,198,000 people have not signed the petition.
IF scrapping 13 amendment is patriotism (I AGREE) then MR is not a patriot. Maru Sira is not a patriot. Bandit and Run-nil are not patriots. GR STILL IS A PATRIOT. Just bring GR to lead the country or military takeover. There are NO other solutions.

Since nothing is being done island wide to deal with false War Crimes charges, I am suggesting that a Petition be started addressed to even “To Whom it May Concern” to awaken Lankans. It is you who said that the UN would take no notice of such a Petition and I then said it does not matter.
It must be an island wide survey for all citizens to note just how much we care about such things. Stick to one topic please i.e. the Petition.
It could be done as part of the next local election, that is, if Yahap cares to do so.

Some Concerned Associations or Persons MUST find out and disclose the PATRIOTIC INDEX from the Citizens of in Sri Lanka. Apart from the loyalty and support toward the Armed Forces re the War Crimes charge, this will indicate where Yahap is going too.
The PATRIOTIC INDEX is a must for future wellbeing of Lanka.

We have to morph and change ideas as we go along in these exchanges of ideas and comments so that we end up with life supportive and practical outcomes. We must Evolve toward PATRIOTISM, and not toward Brit Empire made ‘divide & rule’ which existed in both Lanka & India for nearly two centuries. Take only the life supportive ideas from colonists and throw out the rest.
