Is Sri Lanka a sovereign state or turning into a neo-colonial one?

We should celebrate independence only if we function as an independent nation. There is little point throwing tamashas to celebrate independence if we are taking orders from foreign nations or running to them before making decisions or have to get their nod of approval to run the affairs of the country. We need to seriously ask whether we are today a sovereign state. In self-forfeiting our sovereignty, the nation has landed itself in a virtual soup of irreversible mess.

That Sri Lanka is fast turning into a banana republic is quite clear. That plan has been materializing for a long time by foreign governments, organizations on their payroll and locals tapped into do the legwork. Thus, from media, editors, lawyers, unions, fringe groups, students, to even politicians and professionals had been tapped to be their virtual spokespersons. Protests are stage managed to create the seeds of dissent in preparedness to force any government that do not tow the line to fall. Thus the new constitution is obviously been drafted to facilitate the plans of all foreign agendas. Partnership agreements is nothing but agreeing to enforce the foreign plan while personally looking after those agreeing. There is no country to country partnership agreement. The calls for demilitarization, bogus allegations against Sri Lankan forces, return of lands to people who never even owned lands, building houses for illegal immigrants, deforestation and creating mono-ethnic enclave where training trouble starts were all part of a larger plan.

US, UK and India where corruption is happening big time is coming to end corruption in Sri Lanka….we are going round the world telling we are corrupt to people who are masters of corruption…amazing

Who is governing Sri Lanka? US, UK or India. This is what happens when a country’s leaders with allegiance to aliens ends up taking orders from aliens

EU to help accountability

Why are foreigners so concerned about what should be inside our constitution?

Amidst this slow strangulation of Sri Lanka tapping into all corners where decision taking occurs and ensuring ‘their people’ are positioned, it is a piece of cake to carry out the real agenda.

Singapore’s involvement

  • Sri Lanka’s Governor Central Bank not surprisingly is a Singaporean (not a dual citizen because Singapore does not allow dual citizenship)

British involvement

India’s involvement

  • India to assist building Sri Lanka’s coastguards .. now here’s a good one. We have Indians poaching on our waters, stealing our fish and refusing to stop the theft as well as destruction of our marine base using internationally banned bottom trawlers and India is ensuring that our coastguards turn the other side while the Indian fishermen do so

US involvement

  • Enveloping Sri Lanka culturally & through religion. In case many are not aware US government funds go to faith-based organizations working to US government agenda. So much for the future of Buddhism in Sri Lanka under the guise of helping.
  • US to assist in building land and maritime border security (China and Russia out of bounds in Sri Lanka), narcotics control (who controls the opium trade through Afghanistan?), military education (whatever that means when it should be Sri Lanka who should be doing the training on how to militarily defeat terrorists)

Canada involvement

UN involvement

  • There are UN representatives arriving in Sri Lanka virtually every hour. This is like a UN holiday destination for them.

In taking a look at all the spheres of influence key foreign nations are encircling Sri Lanka it is not difficult to conclude that we are slowly but surely turning into a neo-colonial state, a virtual vassal that will forfeit our lands, dignity, culture, history to eventually destroy a great religion and philosophy that has been a target for destruction ever since the arrival of the colonial invaders.

Answer is in the article by Dr Ruwan J’s in LW a few days ago about ronnie gunasinha.

    අද බටහිරත් ඉන්දියානු ජඩයන් කියන කරන දෙවල් තමයි අපිට කරන්නෙ.
    මේක වටහා ගන්න බොහොම අමාරු දෙයක්.

Shenali we are an Indian colony with Indian colonial parasites dictating their terms to us.

Please look at what happened in 2005 and 2015 presidential elections.

The divisions within Lanka, people taking this side and that, particularly the Politicos and Business folk, have torn Lanka’s social fabric.

Lanka needs to have a good PLAN for Social Unity within the country.

    Suggest :

*. An Oath of Allegiance to be taken by one and all, starting with the school kids, on a daily basis.
*. Maintaining the Socialist ideas in governance (as opposed the emerging Captalist/Fascict type of ideas from the present day (unrecognisable) UNP.
*. Non tolerance of illegal migrants – deport them, please.
*. Activating the 6-A. Remove the 13-A (which is illegal anyway).
*. Have ONLY the Sinhala Language as N&O language. English & Tamil as link languages.
*. Have an Education System geared toward Employment with computer literacy & knowledge of the English language in schools.

    many more …

    Comments welcome.

    Comment No.1

By people unconditionally surrendering to a politician will Sinhalese be able to achieve FIVE STARS ?
May be all should become Catholic then.

  7. Fran Diaz Says:

    Thank you for Comment, Dham.

Religion and Language play a large role in IDENTITY in Lanka, or other places too. Such the world of Human affairs.

Any Leader/s of Lanka ought to reflect the majority numbers views on Language & Religion, Security, Education, Job creation, international relations, etc.

    Do RW/CBK do so ?

  8. Fran Diaz Says:

The MR Govt along with the vast majority of the masses of Lanka, have had thumbscrews driven into them through the FALSE War Crimes charges.

The MR Family has had FALSE charges pasted on them (with young Yoshitha jailed presumably for his National minded leanings !).

*. Who is responsbile for the travesty of Justice in Lanka ?

*. Who is responsible for suppression of Truth & Justice in Lanka ?

A New political party has to emerge, away from CBK’s SLFP. She appears to think that she OWNS the SLFP. So be it. MR and all National minded folk ought to form a New Party. Let’s MOVE !

Otherwise, be prepared to go under Indo/Brit rule with CBK/RW and ‘stupid Colombians’ in the front seat. The picture gets clearer by the day. Both CBK/RW appear to be people with an axe to grind with the majority community of Lanka, never mind that they are going against about 70% of Lanka. Rural Lanka will go down to the drains of poverty and non-existence with Indian Labor pouring into Lanka and Indian goods to supply needs. Lanka will forever be in money debt
to India. Lanka will be part of Tamil Nadu with Caste base imposed on Lanka. And Sinhala Buddhists will be the low caste folk, along with Catholics/Christians & Muslims, of course.

US may supervise. US is watching just how we the Sinhala Buddhists “fight or flight” re INDEPENDENCE of their Nation. THIS IS THE TIME TO FIGHT FOR INDEPENDENCE, NON-VIOLENTLY, AS WAS DONE IN INDIA.

  9. Dham Says:

Your FIVE STARS ( I disregarded the first one) are ideal. But no one will make that dream come true if you vote based on “surrendering” and “faith” concept borrowed from Christianity.

You have to use “investigation” concept and ” do not stick (Upadana)” concept of Buddhism instead.

When you use the correct concept you will understand the Patta Pal Boru.

  10. Fran Diaz Says:

    Am back.

    Who is saying ‘surrender’. ?

No one in Lanka needs to ‘surrender’. Rational thinking is needed here, by one and all. How do we move a boulder ? All have to put their shoulder to get the job done. The various ‘Divide & Rule’ games from the Brit times must be thrown first out of the door.
