1. Strong Government at the centre headed by a patriotic Sinhala Buddhist leader elected by all the people of the country and a council of 15 Ministers with a Rajya Mantarana Sabbha of not more than 150 members elected on an electoral basis, with recalling powers vested with the people, run by Govt Departments and Gam Sabhas and Nagara Sabhas, so that we will have a country run by a set of non-political, independent professional public servants under the direction, control and supervision of the central Government, without leaving everything in the hands of politicians allowing them the monopoly of ruining this country as they have done for the past 68 years since 1948.

2 Abolish the curse that is 13th Amendment and Provincial Councils along with the JR-Rajiv Accord of 1987 & Abolish the 9 Provinces set up by the British first, to  divide and rule ‘for their convenience’ and second to ruin this country and the ‘Sinahla Bauddha’ nation. If necessary, the government can make use of the Tun Rata Divisions for administrative convenience,  as it had been here from 427 BC to 1833 AD.

3 Declare this Country as the Sinhala Buddhist Country (as it had been for 2500 years before), a Unitary State and One Government with 25 Districts, Divisions, Korales and Village Councils with maximum decentralization of Administrative power (all minority groups should accept this position and learn the language of the land within 10 years and integrate with the native Sinhala nation. Those who cannot do so must go back to countries of their love and choice)

4 Declare Buddhism as the State religion (as it had been before for 2500 years)

5 Make Sinhala the Official Language of the State of Sinhale (as it had been before for 2500 years).

6 Declare Nationality of this country as Sinhala meaning the people of Sinhale (as it had been before for 2500 years)

7 Have one Law for all in the country and abolish Thesavalamei and Muslim Laws (as it had been before for 2500 years).

8 Everybody within this country and outside must accept this as the Sinhala Buddhist country and the inalienable right of the Sinhala people to make above claims. Those who cannot do so must go back to their dream motherlands immediately without trying to carve out separate mini-homelands on someone else’s country.

9 Enact a Constitution based on history, traditions, religion customs and manners of this country. This should be done by local experts in Law, Administration, History, Politics and traditions etc and not as the Western nations or India want.

10 A non-political National Advisory Council.  Should be set up to decide the national policies of the country

11 A new constitution as enumerated in 10 above should be enacted within Six months.

12 The government of this country should be based on the Dharmasokian concept of the State and it should be guided by Dasaraja Dharma and Satara Sangraka vastu with the ultimate objective of achieving the goal of the  ‘Righteous Rajya” for the good of the many and the happiness of the many.

A national movement of all patriotic forces of this country should be immediately set up like the Eksath Bhikshu Peramuna of 1956 and prepare a detailed policy outline and get the political leaders to one central place and offer this package at a public meeting at the Sri Dalada Mligava.

The group that promises to implement it to the letter and accepts this programme before the Mahanayaka Theras of the Three Nikayas as it was the custom in the ancient days, should be supported at the General Election to form a new Government

  1. Lorenzo Says:

    Dear Sudath,

HOW are we going to do these?

NO POLITICIAN will do them because they are after Tamil and Muslim votes.

  2. Sarath W Says:

No reconciliation will happen as long as there are racially biased political parties. For the above to work all racially biased political parties should be banned.

  3. Christie Says:

    Reconciliation with imperialists and invaders?

  4. Charles Says:

Sudath all this is very good.

But before that we should unite the Sinhala Buddhists. If the Sinhala Buddhists would remain divided this country will be destroyed by the Tamils and the Muslims. Today they have become the greatest challenge to a united Sri Lanka.

The Tamils are not patriots. They had from the very beginning been against a united Nation of Sri Lankans. They always wanted to divide the country, to have their own Tamil Eelam. The Muslims at the beginning were willing to work with the Sinhala. But today the Muslims are no better than the Tamils. They have been influenced by the Saudi Islamic fundamentalism and since then they are working to increase the Muslim population in Sri Lanka and destroy forests (Wilpattu) and other areas around Digavapi etc., for Muslim settlements.

The Sinhala Buddhists can no further fold their arms and remain witnesses to the on going massacre of our motherland. Sri Lanka is being mutilated , divided and desecrated by the “ invaders”.
We have to rally all Sinhala Buddhists under one flag to fight against the “enemies” of Sinhala Deepa. No politics, should divide the Sinhala Buddhists to fight against this menace of the division of Sri Lanka, as this country belongs to Sinhala Buddhists and not UNP, SLFP,TNA,SLMC or any one . Therefore bury the allegiance to political parties and unite to fight against this government preparing to write an unwanted Constitution, in the wrong way.

This Government has no right to write a Constitution for Sri Lanka. A Constitution is written by the majority community of any country , and the minorities have to accept it. The Constitution cannot be written to please this or that minority community. But of course the Constitution should be fair and just for all communities, giving them the right of worship and retain their culture. All communities have the right to be equal before law.

But the Constitution is most of all to protect the territoriality of the country and protect the religion and culture of the Majority Community

  5. AnuD Says:

Reconciliation is a political word and there is no sustainable way to do that except Sinhalize Tamils. Promote Hindu Harigens over Christians and others.

  6. Ananda-USA Says:

    Well said, Charles!

Also, I must warn again….. REVIVAL of the Tun Rata Concept is a prescription for REINTRODUCING the structural weakness that divided historical Sri Lanka and exposed it to foreign invasions.

Let us have a ONE elected National Government with a strong EXECUTIVE branch with an EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT ruling the nation through an non-political permanent District Administration appointed by the EXECUTIVE branch, a Bicameral LEGISLATIVE branch with a House of Representatives and a Senate that enacts all laws at the National Level, and a Supreme Court as the JUDICIAL branch to interpret the legality of all laws for compliance with the highest law, the National Constitution.

There should be no SUB-NATIONAL local government entities empowered to enact and enforce laws, or control the police or the ownership and disposition of land.

  7. Lorenzo Says:

“No politics, should divide the Sinhala Buddhists to fight against this menace of the division of Sri Lanka, as this country belongs to Sinhala Buddhists and not UNP, SLFP,TNA,SLMC or any one.”

And that means NO Sira, NO Run-nil, NO MR, NO BR, NO WW, etc.

I wonder HOW LONG even these patriotic people can hold on to this GREAT PLAN. They will THROW this plan OUT THE WINDOW at the next ELECTION. Then what talk about average SLs who are NOT that patriotic!

  8. Lorenzo Says:

“REVIVAL of the Tun Rata Concept is a prescription for REINTRODUCING the structural weakness that divided historical Sri Lanka and exposed it to foreign invasions.”

I AGREE with USA on this.

In the PAST there were NO Tamils and Muslims in LARGE NUMBERS. So the TUN RATA CONCEPT worked. Now it is different. BRITS and the DUTCH brought a large SOUTH ENDIAN population to SL to BUST the TUN RATA CONCEPT.

  9. Charles Says:

Lorenzo is really not what he says. He may even not be a Tamil but a UNP stooge. He is very clever twisting any information casting doubt in the minds of readers.

He takes an extract from a comment and twists it to suit his purposes. For instance he takes, ““No politics, should divide the Sinhala Buddhists to fight against this menace of the division of Sri Lanka, as this country belongs to Sinhala Buddhists and not UNP, SLFP,TNA,SLMC or any one.” and then says what it means:

“And that means NO Sira, NO Run-nil, NO MR, NO BR, NO WW, etc.”

But that is not what I meant. What I meant was Sri Lanka does not belong to any political party(UNP,SLFP,TNA,SLMC or any one( i meant to mean any party). That does not mean Sira,Ranil,MR ,BR, or WW.
