The MR/UPFA group should CLEARLY UNDERSTAND that we Sinhala Buddhists want DECISIVE ACTION to sustain our UNITARY SOVEREIGN Nation, to REPEAL the 13th Amendment, DISSOLVE the Provincial Councils NOW, and maintain ONLY the National government comprising an EXECUTIVE PRESIDENCY with a periodically Elected President and Vice President WITHOUT TERM LINITS, an Executive Cabinet of Ministers reporting to the President, a LEGISLATIVE Elected Parliament WITHOUT a Prime Minister to enact laws and approve funds, and led by Majority and Minority party leaders and moderated by a Speaker, a Supreme Court to interpret the Constitution, and an APPOINTED DISTRICT T ADMINISTRATION reporting to the EXECUTIVE branch. There should be no additional ELECTED officials in the DISTRICT administration.
The war-time promises of the MR/UPFA government to India and the West are now NULL & VOID because the Minorities did not accept what was offered and indeed the Tamis refused to participate in the Parlimentary Select Committee under MR. Instead, they opted to connived with foreign powers and engineer a Yamapalana where they could craft a Constitution for a Full Federal System that goes ABOVE & BEYOND usual federal structures to IMPOSE a loosely linked collection of sovereign states upon oir country, as a stepping stone to SECESSION from Sri Lanka, abd UNION with TamilNadu/India.
If you have been monitoring the Jallikatti-related demonstrations and demands in India you will note that these are aided and abetted by EELAMIST Sri Lankan Tamils. This activity is designed to revive fears of Tamil Nadu’s secession from India, to get India to placate them by leaning g AGAIN on Sri Lanka to give in to EELAMIST Tamil demands for concessions that EXCEED even the 13A.
The PROPER RESPONSE to these EELAMIST & OTHER MINORITY MANEUVERS from Sinhala Buddhist community in Sri zlanka must be to UNITE the Patriotic Forces behind Mahinda and Gotabaya Rajapaksa, wrest the Government away from the Yamapalanaya, and enact a NEW CONSTITUTION that empowers a STRONG and STABLE National Government WITHOUT ANY SUB-NATIONAL local administrations of ANY KIND, and enact a multi-faceted POLICY OF NATIONAL INTEGRATION designed to HOMOGENIZE the distribution of ALL ethno-religious communities throughout Sri Lanka thus ELIMINATING the VERY BASIS of SEPARATISM!

MR is a DIFFERENT INDIVIDUAL to GR and “their allies”.
I’m perfectly OK with GR and “their allies”.
MR told me and others PERSONALLY in 2014 that 13 amendment “is now part of the law and it CANNOT be removed”. GR publicly demanded to remove it.
This is the DIFFERENCE between defeat and victory, wrong and right, unjust and just, inability and ability, “i can’t” to “I can”.

They are a shining example of FAMILY UNITY in the face of other counter-examples of UNLIMITED AMBITION & UNLIMITED GREED that people like Gonseka and Aiyooo Sirisena represent!
In the coming struggle to TOPPLE the Yamapalanaya that is DESTROYING the homeland of the Sinhala Buddhists of Sri Lanka, they will WORK SEAMLESSLY with each-other to PREVENT it.
Since MR is prohibited from running for President by the newky enacted Constitutional term limit, MR will support Gota for the job, while Gota will support MR for Prime Minister.
Soon thereafter, a New Constitution devoid of all SEPARATIST agendas will be enacted REMOVING the TERM LIMITS and introducing a strong UNITARY CENTRALIZED form of National Government without any/all SUB-National elected local governments, enabling MR and Gota to swap jobs of President and Prime Minister …. if they so choose!
I have NO PROBLEM with proven, PATRIOTIC leaders serving the nation for AS LONG AS they are QUALIFIED, ABLE and WILLING to serve, subject only to RE-ELECTION by the people.
RE-ELECTION is in fact a TERM LIMIT that is controlled by the only people who do matter …. the citizen voters of Sri Lanka!
