Sri Lanka could not receive GSP+ concession back before because the former government had no intention to agree for the terms of the European Commission, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says.

He made the observation while speaking at the National Freedom Front convention which was held in Colombo on Sunday.

While clarifying that the country did not face any losses  in the absence of GSP+, he went on to say plans are now underway to implement proposals which could harm the sovereignty of the country.

Rajapaksa also slammed the government over attempts to sell resources of the country and alleged move to draft a Federal Constitution. He also pointed out that immediate action should be taken to put a full stop to the policies of the new government.

  1. Ananda-USA Says:

    Exactly!

GOOD GOVERNANCE is not just striking deals at ANY COST to the nation to fix short-term crises created by ones own serial bungling, WITHOUT REGARD to the future security, prosperity, ownership of assets, and sovereignty of the nation.

That type is deal is what short-sighted PARAGATHI DESHADROHI Wikunanasinghe agrees to, but NEVER our DESHAPREMI Mahinda Rajapaksa Hitapu Janadhipathituma!

Here we see the ESSENTIAL DIFFERENT E between DESHADROHI leaders and DESHAPREMI leaders!

DESHAPREMI leaders will NEVER SELLOUT their Motherland, come what may!

DESHADROHI leaders WILL SELL OUT their Motherland to our worst enemies if that will help them CLING to power and FEATHER THEIR OWN NESTS!

SHAME on the PARAGATHI DESHADROHI SERIAL BUNGLERS of the Yamapalanaya!
