Mahinda Deshapriya got mad because 1. he knows the question was right on target, 2. There is NOTHING he can do about it, and 3. He gas to avoid answering truthfully if he wants to keep his job.
Yet another HELPLESS public servant who can’t do his job faithfully until he is allowed to do it.
Government leaders DECIDE if and when to hold elections, NOT election comissioners who serve at the beck and call of those leaders.

The latest EXCUSE by the PATA-GATHI AGA-MATHI for not holding the local and palate Sabha elections is that the Electionary SANSHODANAYA has not been completed by Parliament!
And SO IT GOES ON with VARIOUS PRETEXTS SELF-CREATED BARRIERS to holding the ELECTIONS!
If the New Election Rules are NOT READY, then hold them according to the OLD RULES.
But no, as fast as the Yamapalanaya is ELECTED, ERECT BARRIERS to using the OLD ELECTION RULES and then PLEAD that the ELECTION TIONS cannot be held until the NEW RULES are passed!
How is that for a DEVIOUS STRATEGY to NOT HOLD THE ELECTIONS and PERPETUATE their hold on power until the NEXT GENERAL ELECTION comes along??
