Posted on October 31st, 2018

Several delegates have called on Speaker Karu Jayasuriya at the Parliamentary premises this evening (31), stated Office of the Speaker, issuing a release.

Accordingly, UN Resident Coordinator in Sri Lanka Hanaa Singer, Ambassador for the EU Tung-Lai Margue, British High Commissioner James Dauris, Canadian Ambassador David McKinnon and German Ambassador Jorn Rohde engaged in a special discussion with the Speaker on the current political situation in Sri Lanka.

The delegates had expressed their concern over the unexpected political transformation and pointed out the adverse consequences Sri Lanka may face due to this.

In response, the Speaker had informed them that he will be calling on President Maithripala Sirisena later this evening and that he hopes to arrive at a constitutional and democratic solution for the current situation soon.

Speaker Jayasuriya had further requested the delegates not to hasten into taking action –diplomatic or otherwise –against Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, a group of representatives from civil organizations also met with the Speaker and handed over an online petition urging to reestablish democracy by convening the parliament and requesting state officials no to follow any illegal orders. The petition had collected 16,000 signatures within 2 days.

Most probably this low life is being blackmailed by Ranil for some underhand thing. This is the reason he is still toying Ranil’s line and trying to safeguard him despite hundred and one unlawful deeds by Ranil including the Central Bond Scam. He is political garbage now. He will go into history as the most despicable Speaker ever. What a shame!

We would like to know where he was when Ranil was appointed as Prime Minister when he did not command a majority in Parliament on 9 Jan 2015? We would like to know where he was when TNA was appointed as the Opposition Party. We woiuld like to know where is democracy was when he denied a sizable opposition due ‘speak time’ in parliament in preference to JVP and other minor political parties.

This load of putrid scum should be out of our political system for good.

Getting UNP, CWC, SLMC, ACMC, etc. rot to form a government is disgusting. These are the very people responsible for anti-Sri Lanka moves in the last 4 years. They never change. No point dropping a drop of cow dung into a freshly taken milk bucket.

Dilrook, don’t forget to add the TNA into the ACHCHARU; it would FIT PERFECTLY into that MIX of DESHADROHIS!
