Geoffrey Aloysius and others remanded

Five persons, including Geoffrey Aloysius, the Chairman of Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) and father of PTL owner Arjun Aloysius, who were arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) have been produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court, stated Ada Derana reporter.
Accordingly, the five suspects have been remanded until the 05th of April as per the order of the magistrate.
Geoffrey Aloysius, former Central Bank Deputy Governor P. Samarasiri and the three directors of the Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) were arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) over the Bond Scam at their respective residences, this morning (25).
The arrested three Directors of PTL are namely, Pushpamithra Gunawardena, Chithra Ranjan Hulugalla and Muthuraja Surendran.

Are any of these arrested have any controlling interest in the companies or are they entitled to any material benefits from the trusts that are involved?

All the smaller fish are being rounded up. But the biggest fish is going scot free. The person who as he came into power brought Arjun Mahendran from Singapore and appointed him as Governor of CB, who took the Ministry of Finance under him instead of being under the Finance Minister, appointed Paskaralingam as the head of the Treasury, and instructed Arjun Mahendran, has been found to be not guilty while the Minions who did HIS bidding are found guilty. We are letting the Mastermind go free while the little people who did his dirty work are accused and taken to remand prison. The Mastermind knew exactly what he was doing. The UNP was Rs 3 Billion in debt at the beginning of 2015 and when Maitri was appointed as President. He was then made to appoint Ranil as PM (because the west wants it so, said MS), while there was an existing Cabinet and a PM. This was NOT in keeping with the Constitution of Sri Lanka. When RW was questioned in Parliament about the appointment of an alien as the Governor of Central Bank, he stated that he will take responsibility for the appointment. Did he? When the first Bond scam happened in 2015, it was not investigated immediately and the scam was repeated in 2016. So long as our politicians and officials are greedy for money and are willing to sell the country for money, we will always be scammed by crooks in suit and ties pretending to be gentlemen.
