Yes, we understand the threat these agreements may pose to India. Both Indian and SL leaders learnt bitter lessons when they tried to interfere in SL’s affairs. These are signs that more are to follow.

‘Our land’ mentioned here and in Sarojini Dutt’s article referred to elsewhere is actually theirs. We do not have a leader who could stand on his feet and say ‘mind your own business’ like what Sir John did at Bandung.
