Case of shooting a pet dog in Negombo postponed.

The case filed regarding the shooting of a pet dog to death in Negombo was taken up at the Negombo Magistrate’s Court today (18).

A pet dog named ‘Max’ was shot dead in the Dalupotha area in Negombo, on the Vesak Full Moon Poya Day (May 07).

President’s Counsel Ashan Fernando made submissions to the court regarding the death of the dog.

Negombo Chief Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya ordered all reports regarding the incident to be submitted to the court on May 22.

Further, the case was postponed to May 26, when revoking of bail granted to the suspect will be considered.
