’’Among Economic Killers’’, Cabraal releases his book for a price

Former Central Bank Governor, Ajith Nivard Cabraal who has been one of the individuals criticized for Sri Lanka’s worst-ever economic crisis, has released a new book titled “Among Economic Killers” which is priced at Rs.2500.
The book is written in Sinhalese.
Cabraal was last week released on bail by Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court over a private plaint filed alleging that he was responsible for the country’s crippling economic crisis. Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawala ordered Cabraal to be released on a surety bail of Rs.10 million.
Outside court, reporters asked Cabraal how he could sleep peacefully at night knowing what he had done to the country and its people.
Cabraal responded saying, I can sleep very well. I have not done anything against the people. I am the one who acted and saved the country from bankruptcy. People can say anything.”
