Kumaran Pathmanathan with so many aliases and most popularly a.k.a ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ KP in the LTTE circle is not an ordinary person but clever (to pass thro so many countries with false passports), skillful (building a fleet of ships for LTTE from crap), cunning as a fox and excellent maneuver (Many western ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ politicians, UN officials, Human Rights Activists obliged to him for may be known reasons).ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  He is applying all his skills now to go a free man. He was the live wire and financial controller for years (after the disappearance of Thilagar (Paris) in Wanni)ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  behind the LTTE military operations in Sri Lanka. It was KP who was totally responsible in prolonging the war by timely supply of illegal arms to the Tamil Tigers. If not for his scandalous operations in procurements of arms illegally and shippingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  them to LTTE, narcotic trade, human smuggling, money laundering and managing a fleet of ships, this war against Tamil Tigers could have ended very much earlier provided that we had the right leadership at that time like President Mahinda Rajapaksa. We cannot forgive KP for the horrendous crimes committed by Tamil Tigers which resulted in thousands of deaths of our soldiers and thousands of innocent civilians which he was playing a major role.. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ His involvement with LTTE is much more horrendous than a LTTE suicide bomber.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 

We must salute President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his able team in the Defense Ministry including the Intelligence Units forƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  his dramatic arrest. The Defense Ministry had been able to get substantial l information of the LTTE operations, their assets etc. over the last few months. But not all beans have been let out yet and all assets owned by LTTE have still not been recovered. There are some more ships operating under the guise of merchant ships and some of them have been used to smuggle fleeing terrorists to Canada and Australia. So it appears that we still have not done away with him and our mission has still not accomplished. However, his latest maneuver to gat hard core LTTE activists of the Tamil Diaspora (TD) to assist the GovtƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  is rather suspicious and we should be skeptical about it. Why this sudden change of heart of the Tamil Diaspora excepting ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Tamils for DialogueƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ launched by Dr. Noel Nadesan from Australia which I personally know it’s genuine and they were there ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ very much before the LTTE was defeated. The Tamil Diaspora who had been organizing rallies after rallies, protests after protests in big cities in Canada, UK, Australia, USA and in some EU countries demanding to stop the war against LTTE alleging that Sri Lankan Government was on a Tamil Genocide mission. We should not forget TDƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s operationsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  in the past and should not ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ be taken for granted that they have changed their hearts fully. Their visit to Wanni thro arrangement by the Govt and KP appears a fact finding mission to feed their LTTE supportive human rights group and some western politicians who depend on the Tamil vote base for their survival. Who knows that it may be a fact finding mission for the three member panel appointed by Ban-Ki-Moon.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I wish to relate a fund raising attempt ( in Melbourne) by Sri Lankan youths which included ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sinhalese and Tamils to help the IDPs. (I was an observer present at these meetings). The idea was to help the hundreds of Tamil IDPS in ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the North in cash and goods. The total collection was less than $10000 over a period of month and two third (2/3) of the funds came from the Sinhala community and not from the Tamil Diaspora. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This was the response from the Tamil Diaspora ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in AustraliaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  to help their own brethrens. But if it is for a LTTE fund raising event, they would have easily raised $10,000 in a jiffy.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This is the real mentality of the majority Tamil Diaspora and I cannot fathom that the so called intellectuals of the Tamil Diaspora suddenly changed their minds to help the IDPs. If it is genuine, no qualms. But, the Govt should not accept their support prima facie and should act cautiously wisely ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in putting these deadly snakes into itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ bag.

KP to appoint as Chief Minister to the NPC

Another appalling news appeared in the Daily Mirror (30/6/2010) by a feature writer Upul Joseph Fernando that ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ there are speculations that the Sri LankanƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Government is to appoint KP as itsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  candidate for the post of Chief Minister at the Provincial Council (PC) elections in the North . If there is an iota of truth in this speculation , the Government has toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  exonerate KP from all terrorist charges and let him go a free man. ImagineƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  KP who was aiding and ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ abetting to kill thousands of our forces and ordinary people going Scott free and coming as Chief Minster to NPC. He is still the leader of LTTE appointed by its dead leader Prabhakaran and the Tamil Diaspora has not disputed his appointment.. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This may be politically motivated by the Govt as the report say, but is it a wise move? Instead of charging KP and sending him to gallows or life imprisonment for his role with the LTTE terrorist outfit who committed horrendous crimes, he is to be offered to contest NPC elections. Is the Government going overboard? Such a decision will result with RajapaksaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s popularity dropping to nadir. If the Government thinks that this move will help to get the support of Tamil Diaspora, having lived in Melbourne for twenty years where TD is very strong, the Govt is on the track and is sadly mistaken as the TD will never give up until they get a country for The Tamils.
