The speciality of their innings was that they showed lot of responsibility in the batting form start to finish. Thatanga and Dilshan piled their runs with dozen of boundaries and couple of sixes and made England bowlers struggle . Not to forget the spin wizard Mutthiah Muralitharan who claimed two wickets of Trott, and Ravi Bopara who were well set with his Magical twist which swung Srilankan’s way.

    Jimmy,

You’re a true SL. Thanks for the links. They work.

But led me cut down this big talk of the win. Ireland beat them too. We have to lie low until we win the cup. Let the team do their best. No advisors please and no premature celebrations. If we win, we have 4 years to celebrate!

Yes, Lorenzo. Let’s keep cool, and as you say, no premature celebrations. Sure, the bowling was good and the batting was excellent. But the catching? Ah! that’s a different story. Good Luck to SL for Tuesday but SL will need to excel in all three departments if they are to prevail against NZ that day.
