US / UK and UN serial liars – why should we believe them now on Syria

Hands off Syria until US / NATO/ EU and the UN admit in public to lying about all of the military invasions that have taken place starting with Iraq. It is time the world knew every manipulation that went into the bombing blitz that turned ancient cities to ruins and left scores of people as refugees inside their own homes and not a word gets said about resettling or rebuilding their destroyed homes. The world should not allow a handful of people who have been replicating the same lies in each of the countries they have descended up since the invasion of Iraq to take place.

Iraq:

On March 19-20, 2003, the U.S. invaded Iraq

Over 121,000 Iraqis were killed between March 2003 and December 31, 2011. Overall Iraqi deaths as a direct or indirect result of the war are estimated to be as high as 1.4 million

4.5 million Iraqis were driven from their homes

The Liars – Not just President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, but the entire Bush administration, nearly every Congress member (Democrat and Republican), former Government officials, former UK Premier Blair, the ƒ¢¢”š¬’experts’ and of course the media ƒ¢¢”š¬- THEY ALL LIED TO US.

Lie 1 : Iraq had biological weapons materials sufficient to produce 25,000 litres of anthrax

Lie 2: Iraq had materials sufficient to produce more than 38,000 litres of botulinum toxin

Lie 3: Iraq had materials to produce as much as 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX| nerve agent

Lie 4: Iraq had 30,000 munitions with ability to deliver chemical agents

Lie 5: Iraq had mobile biological weapons labs that could produce germ warfare agents

Lie 6: Iraq recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa

Lie 7: Iraq aids and protects terrorists including members of Al Qaeda (Mrs. Clinton said Al Qaeda was created by the US!)

Iraq had no WMDs and UN weapons inspectors knew this well before 2003 invasion.

Truth 1: US decided to invade Iraq after 9/11 (in 2001 two years before the invasion)

Truth 2: The Speeches preparing for the Iraq invasion:

Bill Clinton – September 11, 2002 ƒ¢¢”š¬…”[Saddam] is a threat. He’s a murderer and a thug. There’s no doubt we can do this. We’re stronger; he’s weaker. You’re looking at a couple weeks of bombing and then I’d be astonished if this campaign took more than a week. Astonished.ƒ¢¢”š¬‚

George Bush – Oct. 7, 2002 “The evidence indicates that Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear weapons program … Iraq has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes and other equipment needed for gas centrifuges, which are used to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons.”

George Bush ƒ¢¢”š¬- 28 Jan 2003 ƒ¢¢”š¬’The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.”

Dick Cheney ƒ¢¢”š¬- Mar 16 2003 “We believe [Saddam] has, in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons.”

CIA Director George Tenet ƒ¢¢”š¬- 7 Oct 2002 “[The CIA possesses] solid reporting of senior-level contacts between Iraq and al-Qaeda going back a decade.”

George Bush ƒ¢¢”š¬- 7 Oct 2002 “We’ve learned that Iraq has trained al-Qaeda members in bomb-making and poisons and deadly gases … Alliance with terrorists could allow the Iraqi regime to attack America without leaving any fingerprints.” ƒ¢¢”š¬‚¦.. “We have also discovered through intelligence that Iraq has a growing fleet of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to disperse chemical or biological weapons across broad areas. We are concerned that Iraq is exploring ways of using these UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles = planes] for missions targeting the United States.”

Secretary of State Colin Powell, Feb. 5 2003, in remarks to the UN Security Council. ƒ”š‚ – “Our conservative estimate is that Iraq today has a stockpile of between 100 and 500 tons of chemical weapons agent. That is enough to fill 16,000 battlefield rockets.”

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, March 30, 2003 – “We know where [Iraq’s WMD] are. They’re in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south, and north somewhat.”

George Bush in Poland ƒ¢¢”š¬- June 1, 2003 “Yes, we found a biological laboratory in Iraq which the UN prohibited.”

After the invasion ƒ¢¢”š¬- when the US got what it wanted to do by hook or by crook: In other words, these were all INTENDED ƒ¢¢”š¬’mistakes’ ƒ¢¢”š¬- they do not care what the people have to say so long as they now have control over these ƒ¢¢”š¬’invaded’ nations.

The Independent, “Rumsfeld concedes banned Iraqi weapons may not exist”, 29 May 2003.

The United States and Britain are using the “war on terror” as a pretext to abuse human rights and their oppressive actions have made the world “more insecure than since the Cold War”, Amnesty International

UK lies on Iraq

Tony Blair lied to the British public over Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction.

“We are asked to accept Saddam decided to destroy those weapons. I say that such a claim is palpably absurd”

ƒ”š‚  ƒ”š‚  – Tony Blair, UK Prime Minister, 18 March 2003

“Saddam’s removal is necessary to eradicate the threat from his weapons of mass destruction”
– Jack Straw, UK Foreign Secretary, 2 April 2003

Labour rebels threatened to report Mr Blair to the Speaker of the Commons for the cardinal sin of misleading Parliament – and force him to answer emergency questions in the House.

Robin Cook, the former foreign secretary “We were told Saddam had weapons ready for use within 45 minutes. It’s now 45 days since the war has finished and we have still not found anything.

Tony Benn, the former Labour minister, told LBC Radio: “I believe the Prime Minister lied to us and lied to us and lied to us. The whole war was built upon falsehood and I think the long-term damage will be to democracy in Britain. If you can’t believe what you are told by ministers, the whole democratic process is put at risk. You can’t be allowed to get away with telling lies for political purposes.”

Carne Ross, key negotiator at UN testified at the Butler inquiry that he helped negotiate UN security resolutions against Iraq. He also testified that British officials had warned US diplomats that bringing down Saddam would lead to chaos. He admitted that “there was no intelligence evidence of significant holdings of CW [chemical warfare], BW [biological warfare] or nuclear material” ƒ¢¢”š¬‚¦ƒ¢¢”š¬‚¦ƒ¢¢”š¬‚¦ƒ¢¢”š¬‚¦ “There was, moreover, no intelligence or assessment during my time in the job that Iraq had any intention to launch an attack against its neighbours or the UK or the US,”.

The Butler inquiry cleared Mr. Blair of ƒ¢¢”š¬’sexing up’ the WMD but Ross’s evidence along with the supposed ƒ¢¢”š¬’suicide’ of the UK weapons expert David Kelley adds to the countless guilty party’s with blood on their hands continuing to pretend they are ƒ¢¢”š¬’liberators’ of the people.

UN’s stand on Iraq:

In 2004 Kofi Annan then UN Secretary General admitted the Iraq invasion was not legal “I have indicated it was not in conformity with the UN charter. From our point of view and from the charter point of view it was illegal.” ƒ”š‚ But UN did nothing to stop the crimes, UN could do nothing to stop the crimes and UN would do nothing to stop the crimes by US and Allies even now.

US and Allies have no legal or moral right to set foot on any country or declare war on any country having forfeited its right because of their lies and manipulations. ƒ”š‚ History does not support US claims of being a liberator and the US needs to desist from pretending to be one.

US did not ƒ¢¢”š¬’free’ the Iraqi people ƒ¢¢”š¬- they have not been given an ƒ¢¢”š¬’opportunity to forget their own future’. US involvement in Iraq has a long history. In 1958 US opposed the popular revolution against oppressive, colonial monarchy set up by the British in the 1920s, in 1963 US intelligence helped Ba’ath Party and Saddam come to power, between 1972-75 the US and its client state the Shah of Iran armed, funded and encouraged Iraq’s Kurds to rise against Saddam while striking deals with Saddam and when those deals went through the US abandoned the Kurds when Saddam attacked them killing thousands of Kurds who fled to Iran. Between 1980 ƒ¢¢”š¬- 1988 after toppling the Shah of Iran, US planned to continue dominating the Middle East by supporting Iraq to attack Iran while arming both Iran and Iraq for a prolonged war to weaken both sides. The casualty from this decept led to over 300,000 Iranian and over 100,000 Iraqi deaths and 8 years of war. In 1988 the US now talking big about chemical weapons refused to sanction Saddam when it used mustard gas, cyanide and nerve gas on the Kurdish village of Halabja on 16 March 1988 and US continued ties with Saddam. 3 years later on 16 January 1991 US carried out a 43 day bombing blitz on Iraq known as the Operation Desert Storm dropping 88,500 tons of bombs (equivalent of 6 Hiroshimas). The deaths are estimated to be in excess of 150,000 with over 32,000 being children. Has the US ever accounted for these deaths? Between 1990-2003 US/UN sanctions complimented US destruction of Iraq’s water, power and electrical systems killing over 500,000 Iraqi children and probably 1.7million Iraqi’s. All Madeleine Albright the US Ambassador to the UN had to say was that ƒ¢¢”š¬’the price was worth it’. No independent UN panellists, no investigations, UN Human Rights Commissioner asking credible evidence or no signs of US ever taking the dock for its crimes. We ask just one simple question what are international laws for if only a handful of nations are targeted while the world’s worse perpetrators are allowed to bomb nations, destroy civilian infrastructure and devastate the lives of the people of these nations? Is this what liberators are defined to do in the modern context?

Its Syria’s turn: According to Gen. Wesley Clark the plan to invade Syria was plotted in 2001. If that’s true and we know that Iraq invasion was also manipulated then we should not be the least surprised when media prostitutes itself to deliver us another set of lies.

Since it was WMDs in Iraq, this time it is Chemical weapons in Syria. So the Obama administration like Bush have ƒ¢¢”š¬’very little doubt’ that Syria possesses chemical weapons. That doubt appears to entitle Obama to send US war ships to the Mediterranean with cruise missiles. The media does the rest of the dirty tricks by showing people gasping for breath, medics struggling to save children, dead bodies and of course the eye witness accounts as well as ƒ¢¢”š¬’doctor’ accounts of the deaths sufficient to project a situation worse than Saddam taking shape in Syria though no mention is made about the US and Allies openly arming, training and even supervising rebels imported to Syria to provide the basis for the argument that the people want to get rid of President Assad. He may be no saint but then what makes US and UK saints is the question.

If there are some in the US, UK and other nations continuously advocating wars and conflicts and suffering from sadistic temperament to see death and destruction they need to find a place they can put vent to their frustrations amongst each other leaving the peace loving public in other parts of the world to live without becoming pawns to their sadism.

A string of ƒ¢¢”š¬’mistakes’ have nevertheless resulted in neo-colonial rule throughout the nations that have been targeted for ƒ¢¢”š¬’liberation’ but now suffering worse torments than the supposed ƒ¢¢”š¬’dictator’ that they eliminated. For eliminating one man (their enemy) these nations and their people have been turned into virtual slaves with ƒ¢¢”š¬’rebels’ armed to ensure these nations continue to boil in chaos because it suits all those who profits from wars. Syria should not be included into that equation if it is based on lies which we know is the case and the lying and manipulations need to stop.

WMDs are the ONLY protection for small countries.

AFTER verifying Iraq had NO WMDs, FUKUSA went to war.
AFTER verifying Libya destroyed ALL WMDs, FUKUSA went to war.
AFTER verifying Syria govt. didn’t use WMDs, FUKUSA will go to war.

IF attacked Syria must use its WMDs on its arch enemy Israel which CREATED this BS story on chemical weapons.

It is an excellent article as before. We all know about this, because recently a former Foreign Scretary of US govt. Madam Albright had said that we consult UN & if they do not agree with us. WE GO AHEAD and do it anyway.

That is the crux of the matter. UN was created to get a breathing space & then do as a famality sake & appear at UN & if other countries DO NOT agree to what USA & allies say, GO AHEAD and do it anyway. It has been the story for many years, WHY change now when Russia & China are unable to do anything to retaliate?

    COWBOYS turned to COWARDS.

    First Germany got cold feet.
    Then UK.
    Then France.
Now USA is also backing down.

We have a new superpower – Russia.

Russia has proven it can save lives and nation BY A SMALL GESTURE. Hope Russia will CONTINUE to do so.

Behind all this a NASTY criminal by the name BANDAR BIN SULTAN (prince of Saudi Arabia). If he continues to live, millions will die.

  4. Mr. Bernard Wijeyasingha Says:

No we should not believe them for many reasons. first the protesters are peppered with the Al-Qaeda. to remove Assad from power would mean that the Al-Qaeda would seize power before the hapless protesters even knew what is really happening. Once the Al-Qaeda takes Damascus she controls Syria which shares a border with Israel.

Secondly a war with Syria would immediately lead to a proxy war with Russia who has the only port to the Mediterranean given to her by the Assad Government and Putin the former KGB leader is a tough and strategic leader who will engage the US in a war of attrition if it takes that for Russia not only coverts that port she considers that area from Syria to Afghanistan as falling under her sphere of influence.
