UNCOHR Ms N. PILLAY UMMASKS HER TRUE IDENTITY
When I first read the news that one Ms Navenetham Pillay (Navi Pillay) from South Africa has been appointed as UN Commissioner for Human Rights, I was skeptical thinking another LTTE supporter in the UN to back LTTE appeasing Ms Radhika Coomarswamy who is the special representative for children and armed conflict. I was skeptical because name Pillay sounded Tamilish (I am not a racist in any way but anti LTTE) and she hails from South Africa a haven which has a strong support base for LTTE activities from the Sri Lankan and Indian Tamil habitants. However, I thought I should not pre-judge and put her in the same boat of Radhika Coomaraswamy who always had and has a soft corner for LTTE despite LTTEƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s continuation of abduction and recruitment underage children for its baby brigade. We have not forgotten her sending one of her stooges Alan Rock to Sri Lanka to look into child conscription and made a mess out of it by blaming the GoSL and not LTTE.
AlasƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦! My skepticism on Ms N. Pillay has now been proved right beyond any doubt when one peruses and analyzes her recent comments on the current situation in the North. In her recent statement, she had come out with unsubstantiated facts and figures presumably obtained from LTTE propaganda websites and other unreliable sources to blame the Sri Lankan Government and the armed forces for the sufferings of Tamil civilians. Much has been said, written and challenged by many journalists including Prof Rajiv Wijesinghe of the Peace Secretariat and Foreign Secretary Dr Palitha Kohana on her totally irresponsible and unprofessional statement.
She had subtly exposed her true sisterly feelings towards LTTE by collating randomly picked unsubstantiated facts and figures to undermine the Sri Lankan Government who are fighting the most brutal and deadliest terrorist outfit in the world. By her action, Ms Pillay has created big doubt in the minds of majority Sri Lankans of her integrity as an impartial authority. Can such a person with doubtful integrity hold a responsible position as Commissioner of Human Rights?
When a person of such authority and status issues a statement, LTTE propaganda network taking advantage instantly and carries them in their propaganda websites to blame the GoSL and the armed forces. It is no surprise that her totally unprofessional statement with borrowed data from Tamil websites and LTTE appeasing humanitarian organizations like HRW and AI against the Sri Lankan Government coincided with LTTE petitioning the UN to take action against Sri Lankan Government for war crimes. Even if she says sorry now, itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s too late as the damage is done as LTTE has already used her comments to terroristsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ advantage.
Ms N. Pillay had unmasked her true identity with her recent statement and the question is whether a person biased towards a terrorist organization should hold such a prestigious position in the UN. UN secretary General Mr. Banki Moon should give a serious thought to her unprofessional behavior and reprimand her. Suffice to mention in a nutshell that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Blood is thicker than waterƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.
I reproduce the above letter of 21 March 2009, published in mainstream news papers and many websites two months before the LTTE was defeated. The contents of this letter has been proved correct even today when considering Navi PillayƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s most recent comments (in April) bashing Sri Lanka and calling for UN investigation of war crimes in Sri Lanka based on Darusman report.

The Sri Lankan Government totally rejected the Darusman report which she has based her comments on as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- totally biased and flawed ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- and made without the mandate of the UN Security Council or the UN Human Rights Council. Hence, where Sri Lanka is concerned, it is just a report by three stooges of UNSG. Ms Navi Pillay is now trying to give currency to this report. She will very soon come with the Channel 4 fiction film titled Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Killing FieldsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ to give currency to the unauthenticated manufactured compilation of film clips very well acted by Tamil actors and we are awaiting for it. No surprise!
Should we further reiterate the fact that Navi Pillay is nothing but an unofficial spokesperson for the LTTE remnants in the west. She doesnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t deserve to hold such prestigious position in that august assembly. To this date she is leading the UN Band Wagon in bashing Sri Lanka because itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s a Sinhala Buddhist government and not a Tamil Christian Government she prefers to have. She is now a disappointed woman as she never expected her brotherly/ sisterly and so loved and protected terrorist outfit LTTE would ever be annihilated conclusively by the GoSL. She is still holding it to the last straw and working in vengeance against the Sri Lankan government for having defeated the scourge of LTTE terrorism from Sri Lankan soil. Mr. Bank-moon at least in his second term should get rid of partial and biased commissioners like Navi Pillay to maintain the dignity of the United Nations as an august assembly.
She is a woman who wants to be in the lime light now and then and Sri Lanka is her favorite target to appease and please her blood brothers. Recently, she visited Australia on a fact finding mission of the aborigines are being treated and her comments that thee is discrimination against aborigines have not been taken seriously by the Australian Government nor she persuaded this matter further with the Australian Government. Whether she got world wide publicity for that as a human rights champion, I donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t know. This is how she works (i) to survive in the post and (ii) to seek cheap popularity and publicity and to be in the limelight. She is suffering from ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-cheap popularity SyndromeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Unfortunately, she is not strong enough to raise a finger to USA, UK, EU countries or to the NATO of the thousands of innocent civilians being killed in the name of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-democracyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ in Iraq, Afghanstan, Libya etc,.
Ms Navi Pillay would cry and scream from that end to bash Sri Lanka to appease the LTTE remnants among the Tamil Diaspora. she is suffering from insomnia until a resolution gets passed at the UNHRC Session in September 11 against Sri Lanka on War crime charges. but we will not care two hoots for it. The purpose of this letter is only to show that whatever comments she makes detriment to Sri Lanka abusing her UN position shouldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t go unchallenged.

Navi Pillay and Coomaraswamy are both unsuited to the positions they hold due to their ethnic affiliations and openly demonstrated partiality towards the Tamil Ethno-Nationalistic movement. The self-appointed white masters of this planet decried the expert opinions provided by Siri Hewawitharana on the nefarious ‘CH4 videos’ simply on the grounds that Siri is a Sinhala Sri Lankan and as such he was presumed to have a conflict of interest to give evidence on the matter. However, here is the most gigantic conflict of interest and downright open bias in two women- Pillay and Coomaraswamy of the Global Tamil sisterhood – these women are using the UN as the Tamil Eelaam Headquarters and calling the shots on persecution of Sri Lanka. This is the ‘mother of all conflicts of interests’; but, the white masters and the yellow man heading the UN are blind to it!
There is a pithy Sinhala saying “wetath niyarath goyam kaa nam kaata pawasami e amaaruwa?’ meaning “when the fence and the bund (which are there to protect the rice harvest) are eating the rice; to whom will go to unburden my grief?’

The ‘use by date ‘ of these two women , is not far away : they are best ignored and will end up two frustrated cronies when they loose their UN wages /perks and sink into oblivion.

As UN Commissioner for Human Rights, Navenetham Pillay (Navi Pillay) employes whole resources of that branch of UN to ridicule Sri Lanka and help the LTTE rump. She is a third rated biased administrator not even good for a clerk in a small office … She only gives passing remarks for real human rights violators and never go after them … But for SRI LANKA, she does it everyday spending 99.9% of her time to prosecute Sri Lanka for some events which had been said to be happened 3 years earlier … She is a real joker and taking UN for a ride …

Why has the UN given two such prominent roles to two anti-Sri Lankan Tamil women such as Ms Navi Pillai & Radhika C. ?
Neither of these women have helped solve the problems that beset Sri Lanka. They have only exacerbated them. For that matter, have they solved any social problems anywhere in the world ? – people who knows of the facts can write in as we like to know what is going on.
Also, Malin says “To this date she (Navi Pillai) is leading the UN Band Wagon in bashing Sri Lanka because it’s a Sinhala Buddhist government and not a Tamil Christian Government she prefers to have”. This statement speaks volumes. It also shows that Ms Pillai is out of touch with reality re facts on Sri Lanka, and unsuitable to lead the UNHRC as she is highly biased toward favoring unfair Tamil demands & pretends that Tamil Net lies from the ltte rump/Tamil Diaspora are true. If she wants to the help the Tamil people who are truly down trodden, she really ought to focus on social issues re Caste & Poverty some five Million Tamils face in Tamil Nadu.

By not applying any pressure on the LTTE for abducting Tamil children to be sent to the war front by the cowardly men of the LTTE, Radhika Coomarsamy in affect gave cover to LTTE to commit such crimes with impunity. I recently visited the Northern Province and it seems the Tamils are now enjoying peace dividends under the protection of SriLankan armed forces who are still risking their lives from possible random LTTE attacks.
I am quite certain Radhika Coomarsamy wont have the guts to visit the North or East of SriLanka, as the Jaffna Tamils despise her for gaving cover to LTTE to do their dirty work abducting school children. As for Navi Pillai, I wasn’t aware she is a Christian? What is strange is that though the vast majority of Tamils in SriLanka are Hindus, it is the Tamil Christian clergy and politicians, including Prabakaran, Balasingham, Chelvanayagam, Fr Emmanual and crowd, that are leading the Tamil cause. Also if I remeber right, during the war the LTTE did not hessitate to kill Tamil Hindu priest and politicians. Is there something to this Tamil Christian leadership or is it just a coincidence?

Under Mrs bandaranayake, Sri Lanka introduced ID cards for all SriLankans, to prevent or reduce the hundreds of thousands of Tamils escaping persecution in Tamil Nadu, under their strict caste system. These low caste Tamils still suffer all forms of institutionalised humiliation and discrimination under the South Indian regimes. Navi Pillai if she cares for her Tamil sisters and brothers, must firstly take up this issue and help the Low caste Tamils to have the right to equal education, housing, employment, health facilities etc as per other Tamils in Tamil Nadu. This is the one good thing Prabakaran did, he tried to dismantle the prejudiced socila systems in Tamil Nadu and Jaffna. Though he wanted TamilNadu support, he would have never worked under them as Prabakaran is also from a lower caste and has experienced discrimination.

Ms Navi Pillai’s great promise as she took office was to fight “Institutionalized Discrimination”. Now, in Sri Lanka there is no such thing as “Institutionalized Discrimination”. So we can only conclude she meant that there is such a thing in Tamil Nadu where “Instituionalised Discrmination” has been practiced against the Tamil Dalits for over 3,000 yrs. Right now there are some 5 Million Tamils of Dalit origin in Tamil Nadu.
Bashing Sri Lanka to fix that problem will not work, will it ?
