The Bodu Bala Sena organisation has decided to support Mahinda Rajapaksa in the forthcoming presidential election.
election.The General secretary Galabadaaththe Gnanasara thera had said addressing the media in Colombo and had requested Maithripala Sirisena to come back to the government.

Appropriate move by BBS to get Sinhala Buddhist votes from villagers. At least C. Wijewickrema should be happy. Very soon JHU will be in the disappearance mode. Good lesson for corrupted politicians who are pretended to be represented by Sinhala Buddhists.

This is a BIG move for MR.
But it will NOT be very popular because the SURVEY conducted by BBS only approved
MR – 13.5%
MS – 30.3%
To be independent – 51.2%

86.5% of BBS supporters don’t support MR. Now even Christians will NOT vote for MR despite POPE blessing him. Sinhala Christians are 5% of the population.
Ananda is right. BBS is a liability for MR.

Lorenzo – I think you are counting “Remain Independent” as votes for MS, and this is not appropriate. These monks who want BBS to remain independent in the election may well support MR personally but do not feel it is suitable to endorse any candidate as a group.
MR will get the same number of Christian votes as he got in 2010 (maybe more) as these voters are not going to focus on who BBS leaders want to win – they are going to focus on their own interests. Remember, it was MS (before becoming the common candidate) that made it clear that the UPFA does not sponsor BBS or endorse its anti-Muslim campaign. To try to flip-flop on that now will make him look like a complete liar whose words simply cannot be trusted.

Not only BBS all who loves our Motherland should support MR not anyone else. He is a man who supports every religion with respect. He has done immense service to Buddhism and helped other religions too. He has the respect of Most of the leaders in Asia. Majority of the Monks supports him and no way those evil hearts will get 25% of votes. The reason is each of them have different agendas and different views. It will be like a soup at the end.
Run-Nil & Whisky lady has to share Sirisena Appaya’s skeleton after the elections. God helps the poor soul.

Looks like monks from Dalada Maligawa the conservative block is for MR. The rebels like JHU,BBS etc. were against MR. It is good to hear BBS is for MR and will JHU return to the fold.

I didn’t add that 51.2% to MS. I added it to the NO MR camp. It is NO MR, NO MS camp.
No. Christian votes for MR will DRASTICALLY reduce. Pope cannot bring in votes. Shooting at the church in Weliweriya and shouting at nuns in filth ended their honeymoon with the govt. Allowing BBS to attack Christian prayer centers another problem.
BBS should stay INDEPENDENT as MOST voters in the survey said.

Sirisena made a serious mistake by taking Parajitha into his fold.
From that move he gets Rajitha’s vote only; even Rajitha’s wife won’t vote for MS. But because of Rajitha’s joining MS, MR gets most of the votes from BBS. BBS has not decided until yesterday and Rajitha’s move made them to support MR.

Despite the repeated attempts to vilify you and BBS as an “extremist” force, it is heartening to see you explaining, yet again, that BBS is NOT against the Muslim, the Tamil, the Christian, but only against some from those communities who have a special agenda – one way or another – against Sri Lanka’s national interests.
Ven. Gnanasara thera, I commend you for calling a spade a spade – something the corrupt and opportunistic politicians (from GOSL as well as the Opposition) don’t have the balls to call on. I personally believe this kind of transparent and bold proclamations (as seen in this video) is bound to help MR’s re-election bid.
As for the “survey” by BBS site, I would not give much credence to it – as it is only a skewed result, likely a corrupted result emanating from concerted actions from “Colombians” and pro-LTTE maggots, as the mass SL voter block is in the rural Sri Lanka and it is not something that has access to, or is obsessed with for that matter, with internet and this type of on-line survey. The ones who are really hungry-vultures for this type of thing are the tech-savvy but corrupt Colombians and of course, the pro-LTTE vile maggots in and out of Sri Lanka.
I remember the 2010 PE election time that I was in SL…what a hilarious circus it was! The Colombians and pro-LTTE maggots who were blitzing each other, with glee, with SMS/Texts/Tweets etc. on the imminent downfall of MR, propagating all kinds of hideously false propaganda (such as “oh, that building is owned by Gotabaya,, oh, that hospital is now owned by Basil R,, oh, that big tourist hotel is owned by Namal R, etc. etc!) and being intoxicated by digesting their own fast-spreading excrement, they really thought SF was going to win by a landslide!
Alas, ultimately when the elections results were confirmed the next morning, they were nowhere to be found! I was at social function on election eve and still remember how this ardent Colombian, who was so cock-sure of MR crumbling that he bet me a U$500 challenge, but alas, as how these backboneless Colombians go, I still have to receive that bet from that miserable, poor misguided sod who now takes great pains to avoid me whenever possible. Moral of the story – these tech-savvy Colombians and pro-LTTE maggots, NO, they are NOT the Kingmaker when it comes to SL national elections. Over-&-Out.
