   According to News Papers this is a Sugar importer for last 40 years. It is obviously he may have imported earlier as well and should be a politically well connected person. Let find out name & Company this importer so that people know full background of him plus political connection.

   30 packets of 10kg = 300kg.

   what happened to the rest of the 209kg as only 91kg was reported. Thank you for the article Chandra.

   Publicity = 91kg v 91kg = 100% – additional points for Grama Sevaka Sira to be qualified for a President of a nation.
   Loss = 91kg
   Released without records = 209kg (This may be the target of Sira’s stunt) (sell @ higher rate than normal as the stunt portraits strict controls in place, less supply, more demand.. ha ha..)

   The captured 91kg will become wheat flour very soon.

   Guys,

   These packages look too small to contain 10kg of cocaine in each.

   The size of each package, by comparison against the width of the human fingers in the photo, seems to be about 1in x 4in x 6 in. Thus, each package has a volume of 24 cu.in or about 400 cc.

   The density of pure cocaine is 1.216 g/cc, so the weight of 400 cc pa kage is about 500 g or 0.5kg.

   The weight of 30 packages is 30 x 0.5kg = 15kg. So, there must be many more than 30 packages (200 pkgs for 100 kg, 600 pkg for 300 kg) involved in this event.

   My estimate of package size seems to be too small; the packages look much bigger in the first photo.

   In retrospect, the weight of 10kg per pkg may be correct.

   This is the tip of the iceberg.

   Drugs of addiction was and is part of the Indian imperialists way of keeping their subjects under control.

   They did it during the days of British-Indian Empire in Indian colonies and in China.

   Lee Kwan Yu did hung all drug dealers in Singapore most of them Indian colonial parasites.

   The island has become a center for transshipment of drugs.

   An Indian colonial parasite who trans-migrated to Australia and was a leading drug dealer was hanged in Indonesia last year.

   The author, Chandrasena is raising some very valid points. This whole episode appears to be a pre-planned, well “stage-managed” event. Otherwise the current president is supposed to know this incident only through the newspapers and about 2 days later. This is a “2 birds from one stone” type work possibly drawn-up by Karunanayakum.
   This is the first time in my memory a finance minister goes and inspects a drug siege. Normally it is the police chief or the customs chief is the one who goes and inspects a large drug haul like this.
   The 2 birds from the one stone appear to be:
   1. Ravi Karunanayakam to score some cheap marks from the president and the public to repair his badly damaged reputation. He appears to have known exactly when this container comes and when (and if) it will be caught.
   2. A new smart way to import the drugs into the country through this new “drug squad” of the finance ministry (previously these were by customs or police), so the smart thing here is after the “anti-drug champion” type quick publicity, the “missing” 200kg of drugs as Hirante said, will become wheat flour and will soon get to “his” warehouse. (Where the illegally imported Toyota Prados went).
   Therefore this looks like a deliberate import by those who pose onto the photograph for the purpose of hitting 2 birds from one stone.

   PS: Ananda-USA, isn’t the scale on the 3rd still-photograph showing 10Kg as the weight of one packet?

   There must be a transparent investigation to test and ascertain the quality and quantity of the material apprehended. Then there must be an equally transparent series of events that will go to show that all narcotics are legally destroyed. If not the stuff can easily reenter the market.

   Smiles on the face of the Aappaya and the money launderer Ravi Karunanayakam shows them salivating over the packages.

   Ordinary people are getting hoodwinked by these fraudsters!

    Illicit Drugs = How to ruin entire Countries !
    This is just the tip of the iceberg.

    It is high time Drug Awareness Programs are started in Lanka schools.
    It is also high time that Mediation was taught in schools of Lanka.
    These may be the best Buddhist Ways to counter such social problems as illicit drugs.

    Yes, the scale shows 10kg, but that can be rigged. Given that everything can be faked, I tried to estimate from fundamental considerations of volume and density ….. but my size estimate turned out to be wrong! As they say, there is many a slip between the cup and the lip!
