This brave officer made his ultimate sacrifice in 07.08.2006 as his vehicle has been targeted by a  Claymore mine at Digana area. At the time of death he was the director of  police commando training school at Katukurunda. Many of his companions still remember his charming and leading qualities which illuminated  one of best special units of our modern epoch, the formidable SPECIAL TASK FORCE . And his humanitarian activities during the Post Tsunami days and the his  civil service to the Eastern province people also must be remembered.

Again in this moment, commemorating his third death anniversary ; we pass our deepest sympathies to his loved wife Mrs Sudharma Puncikumari Senavirathna, daughter Isurika and to son Bhimsara senavirathna.
