Sir:

You have told us that Canada is keeping watch on a Thai vessel carrying 200 illegal Sri Lankan migrants mainly Tamil Tigers, a group banned in Canada since April 2006, which is heading towards the B.C. coast.

According to an Internal Canada Border Services Agency report, 25 of the 76 Tamils who arrived last October in Vancouver on board the Ocean Lady ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and released from detention were hard core Tamil Tiger terrorists.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This decision no doubt has created a precedent for this vessel, Sun Sea to sail towards Canada, carrying the Tamil Tigers, and I have a hunch that this vessel wonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t be the last.

I have difficult to understand why Canada would want to harbour these terrorists when Sri Lanka is rapidly restoring normalcy and dignity in the lives of Tamil people in the North and East of the country which was the theatre of war for 27 long years, through rapid reconciliation and rehabilitation of the 300,000 internally displaced people (IDP) after the war ended on May 18, 2009, having defeated the Tamil Tigers militarily.

When no Tamil Tiger bomb has exploded in Sri Lanka and no bullet has been fired by the Tamil Tigers nor the Government Armed Forces since the war ended; when over a thousand child soldiers were rehabilitated and sent back home to their parents and ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ now studying at high schools to enter Universities and Medical Colleges; when Karuna, the second in command of the Tamil Tigers who led theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Elephant Pass 24 day attack in July 1991, and commanded the massacre of 700 surrenderedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sinhalese policemen on June 11, 1990 in the East is now the Deputy Resettlement Minister of the island looking after the interest of his people and resettling them; when there are only 20,000 IDPs left to be resettled which will be done no sooner the remaining land mines are cleared; I am not sure why Canada has to accommodate and create a Tamil Tiger terrorist enclave in the Toronto area.

David Poopalapillai, the spokesperson for the Canadian Tamil Congress is still promoting Tamil Tigers in Canada when he is being evil to say that the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Tamils are still a persecuted minorityƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-they are still subject to torture and rapeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ when it is absolutely untrue.

It is time that Canada is fair to our tax payers and not let these Tamil Tigers con their way into our great country draining our social welfare system and create problems for our national security.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  These Tamil Tigers on MV Sun Sea should be sent back home as they are dangerous, mendacious and self-serving as they will be well looked after and rehabilitated in Sri Lanka as they are doing with other Tamil Tigers.
