Canada’s Response To Refugee Ship Being Portrayed Erroneously By Some To Confuse The World!

Aug. 19 th 2010 Indeed the world watches the almost theatricalƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ scenario unfolding albeit no laughing matter of the refugee ship from Sri Lanka that has now reaced Canada and the media hype on related issues perhaps on the insistence of would be Tamil Tiger supporters portrayingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a totally wrong picture of the real response from the Canadian Government.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Regardless of all the misleading rhetoric from some quarters it needs to be pellucidated for the benefit of those in doubt that the Canadian Government is not being lenient or accommodating to the people on board the ship beyond a humanitarian means and are screening every person for their credibilities and bonafides unlike previous administrations where no stone will be left unturned towards making sure these are legitimate refuge seekers. The Foreign Ministry as well as the Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed this in no uncertain terms as there are many angry Canadians demanding why these people should not be sent back and made to apply for immigration through the proper channels which is obviously the proper thing to do .
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
There are skeptics in the Canadian community however who beleive Canada’s current stand is mere eyewash and that eventually the refugees, terrorists and con artists and a sure congregation of undesirablesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ all who are more than likely to be a majorityƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ amongst this multitude will have their way and get away with their scam which is what the Canadian Administration should pay attention to as there could be huge security implications for Canada if this is taken lightly bearing in mind that already a dangerous criminal once deported from Canada by name of Manickvasagar was found amongst theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ refugees whose influences and objectives need no rocket science to decipher being a people smuggler and arms procurer for the Tamil Tigers which is probably why the Canadian Government is wary of this shipload and justifiably so.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
It seems well and good for image that over the years Canada has shown leniency for refugee seekers even at the expense of the genuine immigrants who have entered the country through proper channels but in this instance after so muchƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ terror and criminal activitiesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ which have plagued the world andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ still continuiing to do so while virtually holding it ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ it to ransom in many areasƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ based on insignificant looking although in reality dangerous lapses by certain administrations the relevant questions would be ~ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ is it worth it and might it not be the best policy to follow the wisdom of countries like the US, Australia, the United Kingdom and various other countries which adopt a no nonsense zero tolerance policy on issues of this nature and send back such refugee claimamants whose bonafides are not established and nor are their credibilities related to the facts and details surrounging their profered circumstances?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Canada is probably well aware of the information passed on by the Sri Lankan Government and its investigative agencies around the world being legitimate and that the implications to Canada’s security based on any leniencies that my result in a breach not only of diplomatic protocols between the two countries which have always been maintained as well asƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ cordiality over the years but also the precedent it wouldƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ create for futureƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ terrorist escapees and their supportives in the guise of refugee seekers.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
It would be a slur on the good image of Canada and something Canada could ill affordƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ where it would only take the connivance of Tamil Tiger subversives and their fronts to accomplish with relative ease and an issue which Canada should view very objectively!
As things stand at the present it is the language and clear cut policy by the Canadian AdministrationƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ on the issue of this refugee ship which is outstanding towards Canada’s National SecurityƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ primarily as opposed to the tearful pleas of those seeking refuge in Canada through all the wrong means and hopefully the discipline and principles which govern the decisions made by the Canadian Government will not be swayed by the misinformation, lies and fabrications presented by sympathisers of the likes of the present shipload which have in fact swayedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ past administrations for which there could be dire reprisals!
