These Tamils who are mainly the LTTE affiliated or ex.LTTE, are hallucinating about a mythical Tamil Homelands in Sri Lanka, when the real Tamil Homeland is Tamil Nadu (The Tamil State) of India. It is no secret that most of the Tamils were brought to Sri Lanka for Tobacco cultivation by Dutch to Sri Lanka. Others are the illegal settlers who within the last 100 years came to Sri Lanka from their Tamil Homeland – Tamil Nadu.

Let’s leave those history to a side.

Let’s focus on the wordings here on the above statement: “addressing the legitimate aspirations of the Tamil people through a negotiated political solution”.

Let’s take the two words: “legitimate aspirations”.

We all have aspirations. However, ‘the reality is different from our aspirations’. There is ‘no one accountable’ for giving you your own aspirations. They are private for you. Get it?

Anyone can have any aspiration, as long as it does not harm anyone else. However, do not think that the others should give you or surrender to your aspirations just because you have one.

When I was small, I had an aspiration to be a movie star.. but, it did not realise (by the way it was totally a legitimate one). Later, I had a very very legitimate aspiration to obtain a Harvard Scholarship. Unfortunately, it did not happen. I had the aspiration to win the Super Bowl, and to marry Kelum Heidi, but they never happened either, despite they being very very legitimate aspirations.

Those who read the above Ex.LTTErs statement should understand that the word ‘legitimate’ has been used to hoodwink the ignorant thinking that the Ex.LTTErs aspirations have a legitimacy – but there is none. They are just empty words used to hoodwink the gullible.

Lets take the other words that have been used: ‘through a negotiated political solution’. Wow, they want to negotiate (after a losing a 30 year indiscriminate killing spree of infants to feeble old people). What are they want to negotiate? They want to negotiate a ‘political solution’. “A political solution for what?”.

If anyone give a ‘solution’, there should be a ‘problem’. Now, what we see from all these groups who ask for a solution is lack of or inability to list down ‘problems’. Whenever, you ask them to list down their problems that they ask solutions for, they either blabber or run for their life. They know that they do not have any exclusive problems they face them being Tamil in Sri Lanka. They know it. That’s why they can not list a single problem to ask for a solution.

All the problems that Tamils in Sri Lanka face today are the general problems of every person, irrespective of their ethnicity or religion face. They are the most privileged minority in the world. Even in India where 80 Million Tamils live, Tamil is NOT an Official Language, but in Sri Lanka it is. Being less than 5% of the population, these Tamils have complete equal rights in Sri Lanka as with the majority Sinhalese. What problems do they face being Tamil in Sri Lanka that are not common to the others? List them… List them.. We want to see.. We want to hear. We want to discuss, and we want to find solutions. Unfortunately, they do not have any to list, and they do not list.

If the Tamils are being discriminated (as they claim to get refugee status in other countries) in Sri Lanka, how come over 60% of the Island’s Tamil population live in the South with the Sinhalese? If the Tamils are subject to torture and false imprisonment, how come over 90% Tamils visited Sri Lanka for holiday right after they have received refugee status in the respective countries? Answer us!!!

LankaLover, your view cannot be explained any better, well done!!

I hear tyhat Tamils in Australia are in the process of joining ( infiltrating) the Liberal National coaliation in Australia, realising that their main supporters the Labour Party and the Greens may loose.

The Indian Intelligence Service the Third Eye is behind almost all the Socialists in the Western countries.

Re statement : “Tamil political and civil society representatives, and Diaspora groups have convened in Berlin on the 26th & 27th January 2013 for progressive discussions on how to end the Sri Lankan State’s continued agenda of destruction of Tamil people’s identity (genocidal)…”. Eager to join in with the term ‘genocide of Jews’ in WW II times, over zealous Tamil Diaspora have coined the wrong term.

Genocide is described in the Dictionaries as “murder of an entire Race of people”. So is the word ‘genocidal’ applicable to Tamils of Sri Lanka ??!! Tamils of Lanka are doing tops in business, education, etc. There are over TWO MILLION Tamils in Sri Lanka, all alive and well. In fact, they do not want to go back to the Tamil Homeland of Tamil Nadu. Hello, wake up time, Tamil Diaspora !

What the Tamil Diaspora are REALLY fighting against is the Caste System in Tamil Nadu, isn’t it ? Time to rephrase the Tamil Diaspora ideology. The Indian flag motto says “Truth wins”. Speak the truth, and live to pursue the Truth Within.

  5. A. Sooriarachi Says:

Of the world Tamil population, only 5% of the Tamils live in SriLanka, with nearly 80% in India and the rest distributed in Malaysia, South Afrca, Canada etc. If the 5% of SriLankan Tamils get a separate state, what’s going to happen to the other 95% who do not have a state to call their own? Isnt it obvious that SriLanka is only a stepping stone to get their original goal of a separate state in India?
As for the multitude of Tamil organisations around the world, one must understand that this could be the only way the members of these committees could dip their sticky fingers into the pot of wealth left behind by Prabakaran as well as the ongoing collection of funds for this imaginary Tamil state. They also need to find a proper name for this future Tamil state, as “Elam” is in fact the old Tamil term meaning “the land of the sinhalese”. Maybe they should stick to their original name “Tamilnadu” instead and drop any reference to “Elam” as we already have an Elam, which means the land of the Sinhalese..

Thank you all for your fine words. How true! However, there is something missing here though which remains the clear responsibility of the GoSL in the first place: – A formal statement issued by Sri Lanka to India and the rest of the World made widely public that a Separate State for the Tamils is already there in the place of their racial origin in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. Such a formal statement has, to my knowledge never been made. (Readers of Lankaweb please correct me if I am wrong!). Hope the GoSL is forthright enough to state that bluntly and brutally to India and the embassies of the rest of the World so that the Tamils worldwide will stop hallucinating on a separate state for them on Sri Lankan soil!! – S de Silva – London

  7. Voice123 Says:

    S. de Silva, India will NEVER make a clear statement that the true homeland of Tamils worldwide is in Tamil Nadu because for India, Sri Lankans are just flesh to feed their insatiable monster of Tamil Nadu extremism and jealousy. We ae nothing but pet food. Dont fall for their sweet talking and double dealing. If post independence India did the right thing, we would never have experienced all this carnage, divisiveness and misery in Sri Lanka. Still they blame us!
