Having read hundreds of articles by this diplomat, listened to his interviews and going by his personal correspondence with me, IƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢m aghast to admit that his hatred towards ethnic Sinhalese knows no bounds. It was a conclusion I refused to arrive at for years telling myself there may be something I donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t see in his exuberant theories. Deeper analysis of his superficial theories and factual comparisons proved to me they are shallow and hollow gimmicks to achieve his end goal ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” a divided Sri Lanka with Indian governance by other means. However, his recent ranting has led me out of all confusion and doubt. At the same time his passion for Tamil separatism is unblemished. As if he is on a mission to divide the island nation and erase the existence of ethnic Sinhalese, he is driven by a very dangerous set of beliefs highly inimical to Sri Lanka. I think it is very important to identify this agent for what he is.

Blaming the Majority for Protecting Their Interests

Democracy is a way of governance. It is not perfect and it is not for everyone. However, as a nation Sri Lankans have embraced democracy. Practically, there are two requirements for democratic decision making. The political majority makes decisions while the political minority complies with the decision of the majority. Both must happen in a viable democracy. Unfortunately ethnic divisions were created during the European invasion and colonial rule for over 400 years. These ethnic divisions were essential to rule the colony. However, nothing was done by the colonialists to kill the Frankenstein they created. It was left to local leaders. By 1947 racism had become the dominant political ideology of Tamils in the north. At the 1947 election a Tamil-only mono-ethnic political party (ACTC) led by an agitator of the 1939 riot won almost all the seats in Jaffna district. This ethnicity centred political fallout aligned the political minority with an ethnic minority. This misfortune didnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t befall the other two minority groups, namely Muslims and Upcountry Tamils, whose combined strength far exceeded Ceylon Tamils at that time.

It was no fault of the Sinhalese they embraced democracy and Tamils embraced racism even before Independence. As such there is no need for ethnic Sinhalese to make concessions to accommodate Ceylon Tamils’ democracy causedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ grievances and undemocratic aspirations. Ceylon Citizenship Act, Official Language Act, two home-grown constitutions and a host of other laws are the result of democracy. They are highly consistent with what happens in other democratic nations. Most developed democracies have one official language and all democratic nations, except Sri Lanka, have a home-grown constitution with home-grown amendments. If he has a better model of governance than democracy, he may share it with us without keeping it to himself. That too may be adopted only following a democratic style approval. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 

Despite the political fallout of Tamils in the democratic process, the majority has been very reasonable. Equal individual rights have been awarded to all. There is no ethnicity or caste based victimisation in the country in wide contrast to the South Asian neighbourhood. His hatred of ethnic Sinhalese is therefore unfounded.

13A Nazism

13A supporters are not open to discussion of 13A. They follow it in Nazi like compliance. The biggest drawback of 13A is it never reached the people for discussion. It is not home-grown and totally alien to people. That is more reason why it must be discussed in great detail at least now.

In justifying the crime of 13A, he resorts to absurd theories that eventually end up demonising Sinhalese for no fault of theirs. For the first time in Lankan history since 1931, a scheduled election was not held in 1982. Instead, the 1977 elected parliament which expired its term in 1982 was extended via a referendum. It was this immorally extended parliament that passed the 13A; that too after death threats by the government. In November 1987, the whole contingent of government MPs were housed in five start hotels; threatened and forced to vote for the 13A. They were threatened with dire personal sufferings, death and collective punishment via a snap general election under the PR system which would deny re-election to most of them. The JVP threat was an absurd excuse. If there was a genuine threat to those who voted for the 13A, JVP could have got them anytime after them voting for it! But it never happened. Only a handful of MPs died from alleged JVP attacks.

13A was imposed in Nazi style on the nation. Dissent was not tolerated and alternatives not entertained. He remains a frontline leader among 13A Nazis.

Assignment Colombo

He has been handed down an assignment by the Research and Analysis Wing of India to destabilise the island nation; carve out a separate state in the island to which many more millions of South Indian untouchables can be pushed into; twist the geopolitical balance in IndiaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s favour and contain government moves with threats. Now he works overtime to achieve these outcomes. Without consulting elected political leaders, he gave an assurance to fully implement 13A at the UNHRC session in 2009. Leading up to it and following the event he was promoting 13A as panacea to all ills. Therefore, his assurance was not an ad hoc one but the result of conscious planning and meticulous execution. This has come to haunt us ever since. He was given a punishment transfer immediately thereafter out of luxurious Europe. But the damage was done.

He refuses to acknowledge fascism on the part of TNA and SLMC ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” two mono-ethnic fascist political parties that only concentrate on persons of selected ethnicities. TNA is only concerned about Tamils, their problems and aspirations, and, only have Tamil MPs. SLMC is only concerned about Muslims, their problems and aspirations, and, only have Muslim MPs. These two racist silos are the biggest impediment to peace in the island. However, the said diplomat refuses to see this plain truth much like how Adolf Hitler refused to acknowledge the absurdity of his racial exclusivity and exclusive homeland claims.

He is also under severe pressure from RAW to deliver on the promise. He cannot rest easy until it is done and knows well what awaits all used up agents. That pushes him to great lengths to get 13A fully implemented.

Guess who this anti-Sinhala RAW agent is?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Didn’t we dig our own grave by handing over the diplomatic defence of the nation to him!
