Sri Lankan President orders a high-profile investigation assault on High Commissioner- Report

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has ordered to conduct a high-profile investigation in to the alleged assault on Sri Lankan High Commissioner for the United Kingdom, Dr. Chris Nonis by a ruling party parliamentarian, a local media report said.
Sri Lanka’s national news agency, Lankapuvath reported that the President has ordered the investigation into the incident where the High Commissioner was assaulted by the government MP at a function in the United States recently.
It has been reported that following the assault, Dr. Nonis had tendered his resignations letter to the External Affairs Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris.
However, the cabinet spokesperson and Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella denied receiving a resignation letter from the High Commissioner.

Is this “pacha pattarey” trying to frame up our “Elite Diplomat”. If it is true, no wonder KS hates Nonis. Nonis has proven what shamble job KS did in London during her tenure for SLK. Gave MR’s retinue misleading information about Oxford situation, ending up him getting hounded out by LTTE diaspora; sold state owned prime property to former Madam President (did she pocket a commission); husband had too many irons in the fires that belonged to Tamil businessmen and LTTE diaspora; enjoyed her cushy life in London looking good and important in social functions of the natives. Never mind defending Mother Lanka and war against the parasite LTTEs. Lick the asses of enemies in the name of diplomacy. I bet she is the one who set up Nonis, the perfect gentleman to be beaten by a rowdy gangster. Hope she rots in hell!

You got it wrong about KS about the Oxford Union speech where the President had a trouble free event and we were there,but the recent one was cancelled or called off due to problems with the diaspora.
