HANUMAN BRIDGE ACROSS PALK STRAIT IS A DEATH KNELL TO SRI LANKA

All patriotic Sri Lankans should be grateful to Mr. K.Godage a former ambassador, for having brought to focus the next biggest danger Sri Lanka would be facing in the near future by his article titled Ä bridge to destroy Sri Lanka ”appeared in Sunday Island 12 July. His fear AS WELL AS OUR FEAR for the territorial integrity of Sri Lanka by this subtle plan to build a bridge across Palk Strait by India conniving with unpatriotic Sri Lankan politicians is absolutely reasonable . The idea of building a bridge across Palk strait connecting Tamil Nadu with Northern Sri Lanka was conceived in Ranil Wickremasinghe’s mind when he was the PM under CBK. For some luck, RW couldn’t proceed thro as India didn’t go ahead as then Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa didn’t like this as she was against LTTE at that period of time. Then President CBK also didn’t give the green light to go ahead for some reason unknown. However, Ranil as PM made a statement recently to revive this idea of building a bridge across Palk Strait to connect India & Sri Lanka. Imagine the plight of Mother Lanka had Prabhakaran accepted CBK’s offer for ten year rule of Eelam in the North and East and Ranil built a bridge across Palk strait simultaneously? Sri Lanka had a narrow shave of death. Due to some miracle, Sri Lanka is still one nation and one country.

As Mr Godage says that Indian Imperialists are planning this idea in order to annex Sri Lanka to India. If that bridge as conceived in Ranil’s mind is built, we can no longer call Sri Lanka a separate country or Island as it will become a part of India. NPC’s CM Vignewsweran’s subtle plan is to annex the North and East of Sri Lanka to Tamil Nadu and the reason behind his Genocide Talk appears to be part of this Plan. Further, CM recent visit to USA as a private visit as he called, he used his position as CM to meet some important politicians in the USA. How do we know that his visit was to campaign to raise funds to build that bridge in Palk Straight to claim for a greater Eelam. Adding insult to injury, Ranil recently promised (as reported in the print media) TNA and the western world that enhanced devolution of power would bel granted to the NPC. Will the increased devolution of power to NPC would be another step of Ranil’s dream of the so called bridge across Palk Strait connecting India & Sri Lanka? Imagine a bridge is built as Ranil wants, there will be influx of Kalla Thonis settling down first in the North and East and then will spread to other part of the country and there will not be a Sinhala Buddhist Sri Lanka in 50 years’ time. There will be an effortless influx of narcotics to the country. We will be opening our gates to more environmental hazards and disease threats.
The UPFA should take this issue into focus and promise the Sri Lankan people that they will never allow any politician to make Ranil’s dream which he conceived in 2002 a reality in building a bridge across Palk Strait connecting Tamil Nadu and North and East of Sri Lanka.

ශ‍්‍රී ලංකාවේ විසූ, සිරියාවේදී මියගිය ISIS ත‍්‍රස්තයා පමණක් නොවෙයි, තවත් පුද්ගලයන් පස් දෙනෙක් මෙ රට තුළ ඒ ආකාරයේ ත‍්‍රස්ත කටයුතුවල නියැලෙන බව අපට වාර්තා වෙලා තියෙනවා. එක පැත්තකින් අද ISIS එක මේ රට ඇතුළේ පැටවු ගහනවා. අනෙක් පැත්තෙන් දෙමළ ජාතිවාදී බෙදුම්වාදය දකුණු ඉන්දියාවේ ඉදන් සයනයිඞ් කරල් එකතු කරනවා, පුපුරන ද්‍රව්‍ය එකතු කරනවා. ඒවා ලංකාවට

මේජර් ජනරාල්ගේ ඇමති හිතවතා කවුද?
අපි දන්නවා මේ මේජර් ජනරාල්වරයා ආණ්ඩුවේ අමාත්‍යවරයකුගේ ඉතා සමීප හිතවතෙක් බව. ඒ අමාත්‍යවරයාගේ නිර්දේශය අනුව තමයි එතුමාට ආරක්‍ෂක අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ඉහළ පුටුවක් හිමිව තිබෙන්නේ. මම මේ කියන අමාත්‍යවරයා ඉහත කී මේජර් ජෙනරාල්වරයා ඉතා සමීපව මෙහෙයවන්න ඉඩ තිබෙනවා. අපි මේ මතු කරන්නේ අපේ සැකය. කෙසේ වෙතත් ඉතා පැහැදිලියි, මේක රට බේරාගත් නායකයාගේ ආරක්‍ෂාව ඉතාමත් අවදානමට ලක්ව ඇති තත්වයක් බව.
එක පැත්තකින් එක්සත් ජාතික පක්‍ෂය සහ ජනතා විමුක්ති පෙරමුණ පිළිවෙළින් අධිකරණයට සහ මානව හිමිකම් කොමිසමට යනවා, හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරයාගේ ආරක්‍ෂාව අඩු කරන්න කියලා. නමුත් අද ඒ අයට පෙනෙන්නේ නැහැ, ෆීල්ඞ් මාර්ෂල් සරත් ෆොන්සේකා මහතා තමන්ට හිමි සියලූ ආරක්‍ෂක වරප‍්‍රසාද සහිතව ඡුන්දය ඉල්ලන බව. ඒ තත්වයට විරුද්ධව එජාපය සහ ජවිපෙ අධිකරණයට හෝ මානව හිමිකම් කොමිසමට යන්නේ නැහැ.
එක පැත්තකින් ජනාධිපතිවරයාගේ ආරක්‍ෂාව අඩු කරන්න කියලා එජාපය සහ ජවිපෙ උසාවි, මානව හිමිකම් කොමිසමට ගොස් එතුමාගේ ජීවිතය සතුරාගේ උණ්ඩයට ගොදුරුකර දෙන්න හදනවා, අනෙක් පැත්තෙන් එතුමා වාසය කරන මිරිහාන පැත්තට සුදු වෑන් එකක් එනවා.

මේ රටේ ජාතික ආරක්‍ෂාව තහවුරු කර ගත්තේ සුජාත දු පුතුන් 27,000ක් අවසන් සටනේදී ජීවිත පූජා කරලා. ඒ දරුවන් ජීවිත පරිත්‍යාගයෙන් නිර්මාණය කරපු ජාතික ආරක්‍ෂාව අද මහ දවල් නැති වෙලා යනවා. ජාතික ආරක්‍ෂාව පිළිබඳ බරපතළ සැකයක් ජනතාව තුළ ඇති වෙලා තියෙනවා.
අලූත්ගමින් අහුවුණා දුරස්ථ පාලකයක් සහිත බෝම්බයක්. ඒ පිළිබඳ ප‍්‍රවෘත්ති ඊයේ රජයේ ස්වාධීන රූපවාහිනී නාලිකාව මගින් විකාශය වුණා. මට ආරංචියි අද කියනවා කියලා රජයේ මාධ්‍යයෙන්, ‘ඒක රතිඤ්ඤයක්’ කියලා. ඒ විතරක් නොවෙයි, බත්තරමුල්ලේ ආරක්‍ෂක හමුදා මූලස්ථානයේ ඉදිකිරිම් පිළිබඳව විගණනය කිරීමට මුදල් අමාත්‍යාංශයේ විගණන නිලධාරීන් යොදවා තිබෙනවා. ඒක ප‍්‍රශ්නයක් නැහැ. හැබැයි මුදල් අමාත්‍යාංශයේ නොවන, විගණන නිලධාරීන් නොවන දෙමළ ඩයස්පෝරාවට අයත් දෙමළ ජාතිකයන් දෙදෙනෙක් ඒ මුදල් අමාත්‍යාංශයේ නිලධාරීන් සමග පැමිණ ආරක්‍ෂක මූලස්ථානායේ සම්පූර්ණ සැලැස්ම, රේඛා සටහන් ඉල්ලා තිබෙනවා. විගණනයට මේවා අවශ්‍ය වෙන්නේ නැහැ. රවී කරුණානායක මහතාගේ අනුදැනුම මත පැමිණ එසේ මුදල් අමාත්‍යාංශයේ විගණන නිලධාරීන් නොවන දෙමළ පුද්ගලයන් දෙදෙනෙක් ආරක්‍ෂක මූලස්ථානයේ සම්පූර්ණ සැලැස්ම ඉල්ලන්නේ ඇයි? මේ විදියට බෙදුම්වාදී ත‍්‍රස්තවාදීන් අද ජාතික ආරක්‍ෂාවට අදාළ සංවේදී තොරතුරු එකතුකර ගනිමින් සිටිනවා.
ඉහත සියලූ කාරණාවලින් පැහැදිලි වෙන්නේ මේ රටේ ජාතික ආරක්‍ෂාව ඉතාමත් බරපතළ විදිහට බිඳ වැටෙමින් පවතින බව නේද? මේ හදන්නේ හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරයාව පරද්දන්න බැරි නිසා මරා දමන්නද? මහින්ද රාජපක්‍ෂ මැතිතුමාව දේශපාලන වශයෙන් ඝාතනය කරන්න බැරි වුණු හින්දා මේ හදන්නේ එතුමාව ශාරීරිකව ඝාතනය කරන්නද? රට බේරාගැනීම නිසා දෙස් විදෙස් බෙදුම්වාදී කල්ලිවල බලවත් වෛරයට පාත‍්‍ර වී සිටින නායකයා බිල්ලට දීමටද මේ සැරසෙන්නේ?
අපි කියනවා මේ රටේ සාධාරණ පුරවැසියන්ට ‘ඔබලා කුමන දේශපාලන මතය දැරුවත් ඔබත් භූක්ති විඳිනවා මේ රටේ සාමය, ඔබේ දරුවන්ටත් අයිතියි ඒ සාමය, සුරක්ෂිතභාවය, සුරක්‍ෂිත භාවය නොමැතිනම් ලෝකයේ කිසිදු රටක් සුන්දර රටක් වෙන්නේ නැහැ. ඇමෙරිකා එක්සත් ජනපදය මොන තරම් කෙරුමා වුණත් ජීවත් වෙන්නේ බියෙන්. රට වැසියන් පිළිබඳව නොයෙකුත් විමර්ශන, තොරතුරු ලබාගන්නවා, ත‍්‍රස්ත ප‍්‍රහාරයන් කොයි පැත්තෙන් මතු වෙයිද කියන්න බැරි නිසා. රටක ජනතාවගේ උගුරෙන් පහළට බත් ටිකක්, පාන් කෑල්ලක් ගියාට මදි සුරක්ෂිතභාවය කියන්නේ ඒ රටේ ජනතාව තුළ ඇති වන බලවත් හැගීමක්. එය මහජනතාව ජීවත්වීම සඳහා පොළඹවන දෙයක්. ඒ සුරක්ෂිතභාවය තමයි අද බිඳ වැටෙන්නේ. ජාතික ආරක්‍ෂාව තමයි අද බිඳ වැටෙන්නේ. එජාප, ජවිපෙ ඇතුළු මේ රටේ හැම දෙනාගේ දු දරුවන්ට හිමි අනාගත සුරක්ෂිතභාවය තමයි මේ බිඳ වැටෙමින් යන්නේ’ කියලා.
ඒ වගේම අපි ආරක්‍ෂක අමාත්‍යවරයා වශයෙන් වත්මන් ජනාධිපතිතුමාගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටිනවා කරුණාකරලා මේ සැක කටයුතු පුද්ගලයන් හතරදෙනා මේජර් ජනරාල් ප‍්‍රසන්න සිල්වා මහතාගේ පිස්තෝලයත් අරගෙන ව්‍යාජ අංක තහඩු සහිත වාහනයක ගිහිල්ලා කරන්න හැදුවේ කුමක්ද? කියා සිදු කරන පරීක්‍ෂණ වෙනතකට හරවන්න එපා කියලා.
රටට සාමය දිනා දුන්නු නායකයාව ගොදුරුකර ගැනීම සඳහා දරන මේ ප‍්‍රයත්නය වැළැක්වීම සඳහා පෙරමුණ ගන්න කියලා අපි මේ රටට ආදරය කරන ජනතාවගෙන් ඉල්ලනවා.’

“The words Seetha means cold in Sinhala, and has no connection to Sita the Queen in the Ramayana. GoSL ought to name them as Seethala Eliya & Gangula, or some other name, or else these areas may in future be claimed as sacred to the Hindu religion !”

Indeed, the name refers to the coldness of the water and not to Rama’s wife Sita. This is an attempt by Upcountry Tamils and Indians to control and conquer our upcountry also by establishing historical and religious connections!
Given the THREATS to our National Security and Integrity, our MUTTS in the GOSL shouldd see both the Land Bridge to India via Mannar Island, and the Sita Gangula as TWO MORE thin ends of the Indianization WEDGE!
We should KEEP OUR DISTANCE from India ….. as FAR AS POSSIBLE! There is NO MORE IMPORTANT A LESSON taught us by our RECENT and ANCIENT national history! Those who FORGET the LESSONS of HISTORY are CONDEMNED to REPEAT IT!

If Sri Lanka is a boat we would paddle our motherland as far as possible from the obnoxious country to our North. It would be a traitorous act even to contemplate building a bridge across the Monkey Bridge.

It is basic to realise by every genuine patriot that although Ranil has a Sinhela name, he is “anti-Sinhela” to the core and his only ambition in life is to see the extinction of the Sinhela nation and turn SL into a second Tamil Nadu!

The danger of a land or any permanent connection has been highlighted by many writers. We are not playing on a level field. Indians and many foreigners have more money, people and power than Sinhalese. The law of nature is survival of the fittest and the weak gets wiped out. In a competitive world the key characteristics that determine the winner is productivity, efficiency, innovation and attitude. These are connected to education and skills. That will put us in a very vulnerable position. If we ignore facts then we will be wiped out similar to native American Indians. Rather sadly, we are not organised to defend ourselves.
